Ecclesiastes 9:13-18 "The Word of the wise..."

Regardless of your beliefs or opinion on the bible, I found this to be quite interesting and very applicable to whats going on now. I recently started reading through Ecclesiastes and came across this just a moment ago.

13 Also this I came to see as wisdom under the sun, and it impressed me.

14 There was a small city with few men in it and a great king came to it, surrounded it and constructed large siegeworks against it.

15 But there was found in it a poor wise man and he delivered the city by his wisdom Yet no one remembered that poor man.

16 So I said, "Wisdom is better than strength." But the wisdom of the poor man is despised and his words are not heeded.

17 The words of the wise heard in quietness are better than the shouting of a ruler among fools.

18 Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good.

Ecclesiastes 9:13-18

not bad eh?

and a bit

that I think describes what our movement is at the core
"Then he said to me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel saying, 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says the LORD of hosts."
This is not posted to signify any religious connotation and points to a similar allegory from Biblical history. In this case, the southern tribes of Judah were released from the Babylonian Captivity and these were the instructions as to how the Temple was to be rebuilt. Now we are in a revolution to attempt to rebuild that temple of written law and justice which we call the Constitution. It can only be accomplished by a spirit of freedom and liberty that must spread through the consciousness of others if we are to succeed. Therefore, the only path to success is the growth of understanding of the concepts and ideas which fuel this spirit.

calm in the middle of a storm

this great post and all your comments are lovely and much appreciated.
Hope this continues for hours and may God protect us now more than ever.

another verse

Here is the "Daily Bible Verse" from the facebook app of the same name.
I thought it appropriate given that it comes one day before NH.

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things -- and the things that are not -- to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.

1 Corinthians 1:27-29

Now I'm not saying RP is foolish or weak, but certainly the MSM would like everyone to think so!

the more and more i read in

the more and more i read in the scripture, the more i'm amazed at the correlations and how history repeats itself so readily.

everything is happening on such a grand scale. the stage is being set for something truly spectacular. the day the strongest nation in the world frets over the whereabout of nationless terrorist is mind boggling.

i decided to sit down and watch the democratic debate that was on abc, and i am just blown away by the hollowness of what they say. it lacks wisdom. it lacks foresight. it lacks depth. it lacks spirit. and it frightens me even more to see "christian" men herald such violent methods to achieve the goals they seek.

really just blown away by the simplicity of these words, and how they reverberate such truth.

Amen, will share

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Saul4paul and Paul are two wise men, thanks for the post!

January 03,2008.
"A people can move through the ages, and not disrupt time. A single man can take this movement of people and change history" Saul4Paul on Ron Paul, the coming civil war.

Thank you for this...

Wisdom is lacking in all other candidates.

They are egomaniacs shouting from the rooftops...while they dig each other, all saying the same thing, all saying nothing....and saying it real loud.

I had the opportunity to hear Dr. Paul in person last night in NH.

It was a blessing.

AMEN.

Verse 17 describes the difference between the Town Hall meeting and the Fox Forum perfectly.

Sin

We named a mountain after it, our great good of night and the moon in the first human city states. Shamash was our sun. Representing all that is good.

Accept thy neighbor, love thyself. I think Iran president is trying to help Ron Paul by feinting attacks to get the topic raised in the media. He heard Ron Paul say "immediately get the ships out of the Persian Gulf.". Let's see Huck try to emulate that one ;-)

"I have found an honest man."

Diogenes of Sinope

Beautiful post

Thanks for sharing it!

This is what I love about Ron Paul

The critics want him to be loud and beligerant.

But, Ron Paul uses wisdom. The ABC debates were a great case and point. I finally watched the youtube of him and WOW. I was really impressed.

The exchange on monetary policy with Fred Thompson will convert my Fred Thompson supporting parents.

He showed that everyone else has 0 understanding.

Most people play lip service to the wisdom in proverbs but Ron Paul is a living example of wisdom. Critics would do well to emulate him.

He makes me want to be a better man and shows me how to do it by example.

i'm watching it right now as

i'm watching it right now as well.

i'm just in utter amazement how the language of the debates has changed. each candidate is starting to sound abit like Paul. i just wish that people realized those words were from Paul first.

Powerful

I love Wisdom. The book of Proverbs says that Wisdom is justified in her children. Ron is Wisdom's child.
Our battle is not with flesh and blood but against the unseen forces of darkness.
The battle will be WON in the SPIRIT.
I am keeping my watch, standing guard at my battle station.

This is Father's battle.

As One Preacher Said

Good Scripture Point. As one preacher said once, " God has a monkey wrench for each one of us nuts." Yeah - Ron Paul is a wise man and God's word reveals truth to those that have ears to hear. Good job.

Yes, Dr. Paul is very wise

Yes, Dr. Paul is very wise to adhere to the Constitution which was inspired by the word of God. We are truly endowed by our Creator with natural, unaLIENable rights.
Thank you for the positive message!

What I love about Ecclesiastes

Is that it says there nothing new under sun.
When Neo Cons screeme " we never faced a threat like this before"or The Fathers had no idea...." I allways laugh. Those morons are the ones that do not have the ability or desire to ponder the result of their actions. They only see power and money.

yea, i was thinking as i

yea, i was thinking as i tried to sleep last night, how i would love to pose a question to huckabee after reading this.

just as the "republicans" have lost their way, i believe the christian church has as well. the fact huckabee has accepted so many gifts while in office is disgraceful.

Thank You

I appreciate your comment. And it's very good.

James 1:25

But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.

Bless Ron Paul

That man is amazing. His wisdom is apparent to all those who have ears to hear.

YES! Bull's eye.

Wow, that is so good. I hope this gets bumped through the night. We need to keep our focus and not get distracted/discouraged by the apparent success of "foes". We need not fear the foolishness and illusion of power that is out there.

I'll Go To Sleep

....on that one. Thanks!
