Its Official - CBS News - Huckabee Steals Speech from Dr. Paul

I have seen ALL candidates, on both "sides", stealing Dr. Paul's words and even positions. Too bad I don't buy their sincerity but ONLY Dr. Paul is the real deal. His influence is overwhelming the entire process and really proves that one person can make a difference. Huck does not have an original idea in his entire platform and folks will soon see that.

You can't steal integrity.

Where have I heard that before? The funny thing is that this is basically the only thing where I disagree with Dr. Paul. If you are born here, you're one of us.

The washington times calls it, "a radical step no other major presidential candidate has embraced." So either they are ignorant of Dr. Paul's position or they don't consider him a "major presidential candidate." Let's educate them and show them how wrong they are.

be prepared, The huckster is not dumb. He may have seen RP winning a long time ago and is aligning himself for the VP nod.

The more he appears to agree with RP the better his chances...

Okay, Ron Paul Supporters,

Yes, it's flattery and it's says a lot about Ron Paul's message, and I have a problem with other candidates stealing messages/concepts/lines from Ron Paul to benefit their own presidential nomination! This includes Hillary, Obama, and Huckabee, and even McCain. These past two days, every headline you see is the word CHANGE or AGENT of CHANGE. The real agent of change is Ron Paul. So, the question is how do we convey/sway voters from the other candidates over to Ron Paul?

I think if the PR/Advertising Team began compiling sound bytes from other candidates stealing messages from Ron Paul's original Freedom and Hope message, we can put them together into a single TV Ad spot for the entire nation!!! Ron Paul - the original Agent of Change and the only candidate calling for sharp turns and is talking about significant changes and addressing real issues!!

Finally, Ron Paul is the most truthful presidential candidate out of all of them and he the only one that has INTEGRITY and is sticking to his principles and his philosophy on the Freedom and Hope message has been consistent from day one!

Ron Paul PR/Advertisting Team - How Can we make this happen? How can we communicate this message? How can we turn this into a major TV AD?

I motion that the PR/Advertising team seriously consider a TV ad around these ideas!

On the positive side, Huckabee's borrowed rhetoric shows that Dr. Paul's ideas are indeed making a lasting impact on the American people.

Whether Dr. Paul wins or not, every vote and every dollar he receives will have a corrective influence on the political system and the ideas that prevail in our country.

Sure wish we had a video of these little moments where they are stealing from Dr. Paul. Say put Pauls speech then them parroting after.

I could give a dvd to all my NEO-CON friends to show how they will do anything to get elected.

Please someone work on this. I just heard Rudy do it at the ABC debate. I've heard Huckabee several times. He sounds like a Constitutionalist. He has changed alot since the debates began not to mention the money bomb parrot act.

I didn't tune in to the Fix news forum but I bet they freely stole from Paul since he wasn't there.

In case nobody else has suggested it yet--string a bunch of Paulian quotes from Huckabee together; at the end, you hear "I'm Ron Paul and I approved this message."

I can see them all sounding more and more like Ron Paul at every debate.
I just hope the American people aren't that stupid not to see it. I think most would like to watch a performance rather than hear the truth.

He can say it all he wants, but the only thing that should matter is how he's voted on it in the past.

There's tons of proof and confirmation about Cars getting 100 to the gallion ,in fact their is a canadian engineer that created a kit for the hybrid that gets 200 miles to the gallon!!! Let's not forget the automotive industry in Asia has cars that get double the millage of the U.S. cars..

It's not a matter of not having the technology (did anyone see "who killed the electric car") it has to do with the oil companies and world banks that pretty much control the politicians and everything else under the sun...

The Huckster stated in the Saturday debate that he would like to give $1 Billion for the first person that develops a 100 mpg car. Well too bad that has already been done by several groups experimenting in California.

I wish that Dr. Paul would have had the chance to respond and say something like:
"Energy, whether it is oil, gasoline, ethanol, nuclear, etc. should only be handled through free markets. But I've already suggested something that I would be willing to pay $1 Billion for...

Not that I support Huckabee, nor would I ever vote for him but can you blame him? Politics is a game as much as it is a passion, or anything else. Ron Paul has a massive VERY passionate group of people not to mention he's able to rake in the dough.

Huckabee is smart, he's basically playing Ron Paul's domestic policy with the Neo-Con agenda BUT he's smart to wrap it into his religious background. If Huckabee can sell himself as a man for the people and with integrity (like Ron Paul) AND he's able to win over the pro war croud then he's going to get further than he ever could if he tried to go a different route.

So is Huckabee stealing? Of course, but who can blame him? It's my opinion that he wants to get all the Ron Paul republicans that will not follow RP ig he goes third party or finally gets hijacked to the point that he cannot continue... Imagine if Ron Paul were out of the race tomorrow there are many many die hard Republicans that would look for an alternative and Huckabee is trying to cash in on that support....

He has been saying that a long time and wants to replace it with the "fair tax" - which isn't realistic. He didn't take that from Ron Paul.

However it is clear Huck more than others seems to be studying Paul success and trying to incorporate some of his position.

While I happen to agree that Huck is 'stealing' Ron's platform without the credibility to back it up, the story link is to an opinion piece... a blog.

I told my husband, look how intently Huckamuck watches and listens to what Dr. Paul is saying. He's memorizing it so he can use it later!
on the CBS debate - Huckamuck was staring right at Dr. Paul when he was speaking.

When they had an opening speech, and Huckabust started talking about the Constitution et all, I thought - even then - he stole Ron Paul's platform.

This is so funny and has been obvious to most of us who try to hear everything Dr. Paul says.

Good think Huckabuh can't cross his eyes and chew gum at the same time, so I doubt he'll be able to touch the true issues of inflation and how it's created the economic hardship that's come about.

He'll get off the RP speech stealing trip when he's asked about his comments and all he can say is "Jesus made me say it, I don't know what it means..."

Ok the CBS page on browse topics for candidates .. RUDY guiliani is listed twice and RON PAUL IS NOT LISTED.. CBS IS BOUGHT TOO.. this is soooooooo ridiculous .. IS there someone who loves ROn Paul that is rich enough to buy all these companys and fire all the lyers.. urrrrgh..

Because when these "new" issues come up, people might want to hear Paul's view on it. And once they investigate and discover he's been saying it all along, they will feel kind of "excluded" from what has been going on all along in the 08 race.

Every time I hear Huckabee speak I feel like I need to take a shower afterwards. He is so phony and rehearsed it's ridiculous.

The only thing I'll give him credit for is that he's smart enough to be respectful to Dr. Paul. The others all display their ignorance by mocking / laughing at Dr. Paul whenever he attempts to educate them.

Abolishing the IRS has been in the works for quite some time and can be credited to a million different people.

If you're going to post stuff like this make sure you know what you're saying. Huckabee's plan with the IRS and Income Tax is MUCH different than President Paul's also, as he will implement other forms of taxation, which in turn may hurt us just as much as the income tax if not more.
