Ron Paul will do fine with Howard if he knows to expect some asinine questions but for some reason I have a feeling that Howard takes this so seriously it may be a historical interview for him.
Imagine how big Howard Stern's head will be if the self-proclaimed King Of All Media helps to get the next president elected and that is Ron Paul!
I listen to your show DAILY for the last 10 years.
I bought a Sirius radio the day Howard made the statement that he's leaving Radio for something new. I just lucked out and got a Sirius radio instead of XM, but have been subscribed since.
The Howard Revolution got me thinking of politics. I think there are a lot of similarities with Ron Paul and Howard. Both have had a lot of media blackout while shlubs like IMUS get credit.
It is Howard that got the ratings and everyone knows it. Ron Paul is the same way, he has the highest ratings, but the media has practically silenced him.
I think it would be fantastic if you would to have Ron Paul on your show, if at least a phone-in interview for a few minutes. I have listened to Howard's interviews before and believe that he is one of the best interviewers in the industry (Larry "Cryptkeeper" King doesn't hold a match to Howard).
If you want to know a little bit more about Paul all you would really have to do is ask the callers about him, as many of your listeners are also Ron Paul supporters.
Now if you want to learn more about him he raised almost $20 Million last quarter, and has won practically every online poll as well as over half of the straw polls.
He held a 1 hour televised forum on New Hampshire public access TV to explain his positions to New Hampshire.
I will be listening to Stuttering John tonight at 7pm, as well as watch the Tonight Show with Jay Leno as Ron Paul will make an appearance there TONIGHT.
F' the FCC, bababooey, and tell Artie to lose a few pounds before he bursts. He looks like the Ron Paul Blimp (look it up) with an afro and stubble.
That would be amazing, can you imagine that?
I'm sure with the money Howard is getting from the Sirius gig he'd deny it so he can get busy with Beth...I know I would.
I have been a long time Howard Stern listener and First Amendment proponant. Howard only mentions part of Ron Paul's position on foreign policy, I'm sure he would agree on many more of Dr. Paul positons. This is a golden opportunity for Howard listeners to call the show frequently and ask to talk about the rEVOLution and Dr. Paul. Hopefully we could get Dr. Paul an interview that would reach millions in an uncensored venue.
If somebody at campaign HQ doesn't take steps to get Dr. Paul on the Stern show and get Howard's official endorsment, I'll be forced to join the ranks of those questioning their competence.
I'm sorry, unlike some of the more hardcore followers of sites such as this, not everyone has the hours (or even inclination) to learn about a candidate in a meaningful way. An in-person interview cuts right to the heart of it.
Here's what I'd recommend. We work with the guys over at RonPaulForums, create a committee to see this through. Individual efforts are of course appreciated, but some type of accountability to the task at hand could go a long way.
Even if the campaign doesn't want to go on the show (for some reason), we at least need Howard talking more about him.
I'm not the least offended by Howard's language. I was in the supermarket the other day and heard a mother call her son STUPID. If anything, those are the abusive words.
Words only have meaning when you condition yourself (or someone else conditions you) to react to them.
I always make sure to listen when either one is on, and he just replayed the show where the "I told you not to be stupid, you moron" tape was originally played. Talk about funny -- and Howard's Dad has kept a good sense of humor to this day. His mom's also funny. I wish Howard would put them on more-often, but he's very protective of them, and Richard & Sal *are* around the office.
I may even go over tonight at 7 EST and listen to "Straight Talk With John The Stutterer" on Howard 101. Part of Howard's genius was figuring-out the odd fact that severe speech impediments & mental retardation can make for good radio. (John's not too bright, but he's not retarded either.) He just has a severe stuttering problem, but John's stutter actually goes away when anyone gets him angry-enough, which is hilarious! ;)
I haven't yet checked-out Stern Fan Network today & haven't been posting for a while, but I'm sure it's rockin' today as SFN was already full of RP supporters.

He needs to get RP on his show ASAP. Remember it's not whether we endorse everything Howard says, does, or advocates: But it's whether or not Howard advocates Ron Paul's philosophy of Constitutional government. Ron Paul needs that outlet. He will reach millions. Once Ron Paul's message reaches critical mass, it's all over for the establishment. Howard Stern is a strong ally in this effort.
A-MAZING (lol wolf blitzer). seriously. he doesnt get enough airtime, as stern says, so lets get him on the show, heheh. bring ron paul girl while youre at it. He sounds like hes been following ron long enough to know about the common isolationism misconception, so you can tell hes a closet fan. not so much anymore, but would be a neat full-blown supporter.
Ron + Howard to counter the religious right! heheh.
Incredible plug for the good doctor. I was originally against the idea of Ron on his show, but now I think Howard will do great by him. Robing seems to be against him, but likely because she thinks he is prejudice. She will be a believer when Ron appears on the show.
You guys should really have Ron Paul on your show. If you don't know who he is, he's a Republican congressman running for president. He got 10% of the vote in the Iowa caucus last week, so he's got some good support.
I heard Howard talking about him, and Howard said that "People love it when he talks" and "this guy should be getting more air time" You can make it happen.
Here's the clip from Youtube http://www.youtube.com/wa...
Here are some of his key policy positions, which I think would be very popular with your readers.
- end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan
- close our military bases around the world (700 bases in 130
countries), and bring those troops home
- end the War on Drugs (costs the US $50 billion a year and doesn't work)
- with all the money saved, end the IRS and income tax (replace it with nothing)
You referred to Howard Stern's "readers" instead of listeners???
Are you kidding?
And if you listened to what Howard Stern said in one of the links below, he mentioned the 10% and knows a bit about Ron Paul already.
If you write, please don't mess around. Loss of credibility is not difficult to accomplish, but I support your attempt anyway.

Howard Stern as FCC Chairman
Can you imagine President Paul appointing Mr. Stern as FCC Chairman? This is just too much fun to even think about!
Talk about just deserts :)

I emailed his show.

Great Idea. I think we should e-mail them and be polite. As a former Howard Stern fan i'm pretty sure fans will fall in love Ron Paul.
I called campaign HQ
They said that they have heard of the offer from Howard Stern.
The person I talked to (Mike) said that he did not know whether they had responded. Couldn't get any more details.
Told Mike I would post the information that "they know".
The ball is in their court, hope they act on this great opportunity for a wider audience.

Howard Stern shows his intelligence by promoting Ron Paul.

Ron, can handle it!
If he can answer that he would rather strangle kittens than raise taxes by 50%, than he can handle Howard.
P.S. He wasn't terribly pleased with that ?? or his truthful answer for it. I commend him on having the balls to answer that.
In all honesty
If somebody at campaign HQ doesn't take steps to get Dr. Paul on the Stern show and get Howard's official endorsment, I'll be forced to join the ranks of those questioning their competence.
Hello HQ! Get this done!
You can tell Howard wants to
You can tell Howard wants to learn more about him. All he needs to do is open about the FCC and we're golden.

I've also emailed some of the senior staff of the campaign
And just "mentioned" that this might be a good opportunity with Howard showing some interest (and attached the audio clip).
Again, can't say I'm a Howard fan, but you've got to be impressed with his "devoted" supporters as well :-)
He needs to get on Howard's Show
