Forum Posting Guidelines
Hello Friends,
I set this board up as a place for Ron Paul supporters to communicate with each other. Anyone can read and post to the board. To post, you must first register:
Feel free to post your comments, links and anything else you'd like the world to know about here. I ask that you follow these loose guidelines:
1) Even though this is an unofficial site, you are still representing Dr. Paul in the eyes of the public. Please don't write anything that Dr. Paul himself wouldn't say or wouldn't approve of, or that would reflect badly on Dr. Paul or the campaign. Therefore, don't trash other candidates, don't use bad words, etc. Keep your focus on the good and the positive and on hope.
2) ALWAYS spell check and grammar check your work before posting. The new Firefox has a built in spell checker. Misspelled words get a red underline, and if you right click on them, you get some options from a built-in dictionary.
3) Please do not post the text of entire articles on other sites. Feel free to post a short intro, and then a link to the original article. Unfortunately, YouTube videos cannot be embedded in the forum, but feel free to link to them. Just copy and paste the address, and it will turn into a link automatically.
4) I can and will delete inappropriate comments and ban disruptive users. This includes blatant commercials, excessive profanity, personal attacks on other users, multiple identical postings on different threads, EXCESSIVE USE OF CAPITAL LETTERS.
Please be nice and follow Dr. Paul's living example of kindness, respect and humility. Let me know if you have any questions.
I set this up to be an open forum for the honest discussion of ideas and the search for truth. In order for this to work, everyone must play by the rules and respect the community. While I don't want to get into the habit of banning people or deleting posts and / or comments, if you don't respect the community, then you are not welcome here.
Any of the following will be sure to get you banned without warning:
Engaging in flame wars or personal attacks on other members, racist remarks, posting material completely unrelated to the campaign or the presidential race, bumping your own thread to keep it on the front page, posting the same non-related comment on multiple threads to promote your website or event, blatant advertising. If you cannot consistently spell or check your grammar, you may also be banned. Sorry. Posting here is a privilege, not a right.
In the end, anything I decide that reflects poorly on Dr. Paul and/or sullies the good and peaceful name of Ron Paul supporters is not welcome here. At the end of the day, this is my house. I set it up to honor, respect and promote Ron Paul's bid for the Presidency. Play fair and you're welcome to stay. Do not abuse what is offered.
Welcome aboard a magical journey!
Best regards,
Michael Nystrom

Indiana primary
I voted early this morning in a very busy precinct. (All polling locations I drove by were just as busy--a record turnout is expected). I proudly wore my Ron Paul button and was thrilled to cast my vote for him. Interestingly, Huckabee and Romney are still on the IN ballot. For once, our votes matter here--national news is covering our primary. We love you Ron. Thanks for representing so many of us.
McCain Wasn't Even Supposed To Be On The Ballot~!
If you go to a Google Search and type in "McCain Not On Indiana Ballot?" you will notice several articles about John McCain coming up 9 signatures short in the fourth district; which is the most republican district of the most republican state in the country. ( Indiana ) Clearly his popularity is bogus and they failed to meet the deadline of the minimum 500 signatures from that district. Tomas Cook from Bloomington, IN posted a pic of his Complaint he filed with the Election Commission stating the McCain failed to make ballot. Also when I voted today, I saw Romney and Huckabee on there to vote for. They arent even running! Why they hell where they on there! RON PAUL's name shouldve been the only name on the ballot for the REPUBLICAN side! Sounds like racketeering.... www.myspace.com

VOTE RON PAUL!

The way they squirmed!
My only regret is that the official "record" will not show the General's and the Ambassador's squirming, nor, in all likelyhood, will all of the uh's and er's be part of the transcript. A telling moment that ALL should see!

CONGRADS Ron!! Superb the way you put out all that info for the record. Your question baffled them. But I commend you for setting them straight on the simple way it should have been answered. You are a man of such high integretity, the ONE that would do wonders in the White House leading our country back to the greatness it once was. May God bless you and your family and keep you safe.

3rd Party run
Dear Ron Paul 2008 Campaign,
As a precinct leader, donator to the presidential campaign and congressional campaign, purchaser of the new book by Ron Paul, "The Revolution", I beseech Ron to run 3rd party. I don't see any reason not to continue to fight for the Constitution. Please follow my logic: Ron Paul has his congressional seat secure, he has money left over from our donations, and we will donate more, we have 10% of the precincts nationwide covered already with grassroot leaders, Ron will not endorse McCain, we can get the Libertarian Party and Constitution Party to join and we the grassroots will scour every nook and cranny of this country for
votes....Why not run 3rd party? We have come to far and worked too hard not to finish what we started. In light of the fact we have been maligned, smeared, and mocked at every step for merely loving the Constitution and Liberty, we cannot vote the lesser of two evils this election. Again, Please Ron!, run not because you want to...run because we plead and demand it. We can make a bigger statement in spite of what has already been accomplished.
Sincerely,
A friend in the bonds of Liberty
2008 Ron Paul Plan of Action
Guys, it seems everyone has given up. We must not give up!! A brokered convention can happen. Please follow these few instructions! :)
his campaign is run and maintained by the Grass Roots and as so the next move is ours. This is our 2008 Ron Paul Plan Of Action.
THIS IS WHAT WE MUST DO NOW!!!
This race has always been a race for delegates. I came home that night of the February 5th disappointed that I was elected as a Romney delegate to county. This has changed for me because Romney has left the race folks. Not only are new delegates up for grabs, but Romneys' can be ours for the taking.
Here is our ORGANIZED plan of action!!
1. Report your precinct information to your Ron Paul state HQ if you have not already done so and your caucus is passed. This is so that we can know who is going to county if you have a caucus system. Who they are representing, etc..
2. Donate!!! Please I work in retail and go to school and have VERY LITTLE MONEY but I still have donated $600 to the campaign and plan to do more. We are not done yet!!! Ron Paul's message can only get out if we give him the tools to do so. This can be used to win NEW states!! All we need is delegates guys!!
3. Get a list of the delegate names (or your fellow delegates) for your county that voted for Mitt Romney and ask if they still will be attending, who they are looking to vote for. If they are not attending see if you can be there backup if they don't already have one. Whatever we do we must show them that Ron Paul is the best choice and the ONLY way to beat Hilliary and Obama. If these delegates don't know who to vote for bring them to the light and show them Ron Paul. He catches on like a fever and if you get more delegates to county that at least like Ron Paul his chances of getting State Reps are even greater.
4. On a national level we must discuss and find a way to spread Ron Paul's messages in a clear way. Many older folks DO NOT have the TIME or the KNOW HOW to access the internet which so far has been our #1 tool. We must stop being afraid to talk to people and instead discuss with them how much better the world would be with Ron Paul as president. WE MUST be innovative unique and heartfelt.
5. Money bombs for National!! Guys we need to raise money to get our delegates to National. Only the hardcore political types have the time or money to do so which means that the job of going to National is not easy but is given fairly easy. The more delegates we get to National the easier it is to win or even have a brokered convention. We NEED to offer financial support for these people. Using 1/2 of a million dollars we pay for ALL of our delegates to go to National and from our previous money bomb experience this is NOT a hard thing to do.
6. State Convention!! By this point we should have State Delegates and if we have enough Ron Paul should have no problem of being our official choice. This is where we can volunteer to become National Delegates and if we have the money raised by then the folks who were on the fence about going to St.Paul for Ron Paul can join in. This is a grass roots effort. IN ORDER FOR RON PAUL TO WIN WE MUST UNITE AS OUR FOUNDERS DID BEFORE US.
7. National Convention for a brokered convention! Or perhaps a win? The months ahead are long and Huckster may drop out so we must get everyone to our cause.
Ladies and Gentleman we are now fighting on two fights.
Our Meetup groups must do 1 of 2 things.
1. If your state has not held caucuses then you must still go out there and fight the good fight. Tell people about Ron Paul. At my caucus it was mostly older folks and they had never looked into Ron Paul they just heard he was an extremist by the Media. Had I had more feet on the ground and spent more PERSONAL attention with people Ron Paul would have easily won my Caucus.
2. If your Caucus is done and passed you MUST still support Ron Paul and win over delegates. This is the game of politics guys! I was told now that I was a delegate I would be having people like even dog catchers calling me to vote for their appointed position. You have to call your delegates and get them on your side, be polite, be kind, be knowledgeable. Find someway to get on a personal level with them because in this day of technology we NEED MORE PERSONAL ATTENTION towards people. And that's where this movement has FAILED so far. REMEMBER!! Some states have different rules for caucuses meaning some people may be still committed to Romney, but in many states such as mine we have the right to vote for ANYONE.
Everyone Go! Get out there! Don't loose hope, this movement was based on the message. And we shall take this message to the White House!!!
Also mods can we please sticky this!! We need to get organized!! Any suggestions from anyone let me know!
The power once voice has can be amazing if its got the heart behind it. Ron Paul even seems to be not very optimistic but I was NEVER one to let my principles down!!
In addition I got this email, I know its long:-)

The Ron Paul Strategy
John McCain is rapidly becoming the "candidate of endless war." All his pledged delegates have to do to open up the convention is to "call in sick."

A Letter from Ben Novak,
Founder of Americans in Europe for Ron Paul,
to Paulites Everywhere
Dear Paulites:
For some time I have been pondering two questions: First, why is Ron Paul working so hard to collect delegates to the Republican convention when John McCain already has it all sewed up? Second, if Paul doesn’t have a chance at the nomination, why does he look so happy and confident? Then it occurred to me: perhaps he has a strategy to win it after all. So, I thought about it a long time, and realized that he could indeed win it. So I decided to buck up your spirits by telling you how he is going to do it.
How Ron Paul Is Going to Win
A. The Strategic Foundation
Much despair seems to have come over Ron Paul supporters because of the disappointing results of the primaries. But I suggest that this despair results from a mis-estimation of both the character and genius of our candidate. For, Ron Paul intends to win this campaign, and has brilliantly planned every move in it to arrive at this point: victory is only one short step away. All it requires is that the delegates to the Republican convention consider the dilemma facing their party as the September convention approaches.
Their thinking will begin with the polls, which show John M'cCain's support growing weaker day by day. Although McCain has the advantage of being the presumptive Republican candidate while the Democratic candidates are still tearing each other apart, both Clinton’s and Obama’s numbers have begun to rise above McCain’s. If this continues through the summer, delegates will begin to consider the following five reasons why:
First, McCain’s position on the war is gradually sinking in. Two-thirds of the voters oppose the war and want to get out. McCain not only wants to continue it, but to expand it into Iran, and not only expand it, but to have it go on endlessly. McCain has joked in public about changing the words of a popular hit song by the Beach Boys from "Bar Bar Bar Barbara Ann" to "bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran,"[1] and speaks with approval of keeping American troops in Iraq for not only "a hundred years," but "a thousand years" and even speaks of "a million years."[2]
Delegates will soon begin to think about what this means for the fall campaign. As soon as they do, however, nightmares may replace their dreams of victory. They will have visions of Democrats playing the tape of McCain’s little jig on "bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran," to the tune of "Bar Bar Bar Barbara Ann" over and over again, until that tune together with McCain’s words are singing in the head of every voter in the country. They will then flood the country with ads featuring McCain’s comment about staying in Iraq for "a hundred, "a thousand," and even "a million" years," until McCain is not only identified as the "war candidate," but the "candidate of endless war." McCain has given the Democrats the opportunity to focus their whole campaign on his mad love of war. Every older Republican will remind every younger one of the "little-girl-picking-flowers-with-a-mushroom-cloud-rising-behind-her" television spot that the Democrats used to devastate the Barry Goldwater campaign in 1964.
Second, as America heads into recession voters rate their fears about the economy even higher than their concerns about war. But McCain will be unable to take advantage of this because he is weak on pocketbook issues. He has little knowledge or background in economics, fiscal policy, trade, job creation, etc. Anything he proposes now will sound political. Either Clinton or Obama will crush him in the debates on these issues. In the end, McCain has no other issue than war.
Third, to win this election, Republicans must overcome the unpopularity of President Bush, whose ratings are now the lowest of any president since polling began. Democrats are already painting McCain as "Bush’s third term," and McCain has done nothing to dispel this. Rather, he has prominently sought and obtained Bush’s endorsement. Soon Republican delegates will have to face the question: What possible reason can be given to voters for extending for a third term the most unpopular presidency they have ever known? McCain offers nothing but a continuation and expansion of Bush’s war policies.
Fourth, instead of wooing the Republican conservative base, McCain has made his "maverick" reputation the hallmark of his campaign. But, how does one build a base of trust and consistent loyalty on a confessed maverick, except under threat of war? With McCain, there is no other basis for unity but war.
Finally, McCain has few charismatic qualities, He has few dedicated followers and personally excites little enthusiasm. His sole claims to leadership are his prisoner-of-war-hero-status and expertise at war. Thus he has no choice but to focus this election on his strongest points: war and more war. If Republican party workers intend to make up for their candidate’s enthusiasm deficiency, they will have to become very excited about war.
Considering these factors, it is very likely that before summer is out, every Republican delegate will be sick in the stomach at the very thought of what a McCain campaign will do to the Republican party. John McCain will be seen as the losing-est Republican candidate since Bob Dole or Barry Goldwater, maybe even Alf Landon. Judging by the results the Pennsylvania primary and the Minnesota, Missouri, and Nevada delegate selection meetings, such thinking appears to have already begun.
B. "But, Isn’t It a Done Deal?"
But so what? What does all this have to do with Ron Paul’s campaign strategy? Doesn’t McCain already have enough delegates pledged to win the nomination? Isn’t it too late to be thinking about all this? Isn’t the whole thing a "done deal"?
No, it is not a "done deal," not by a long shot. By the time you finish reading this, I think you will agree that Ron Paul’s strategy is the most brilliant since Harry Truman whistle-stopped his way to the biggest political upset in American history. So, let me describe how it will play out.
C. The Convention
The most exciting event to look forward to is the Republican convention. There will be huge platform fights about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the proposed attack on Iran, reducing our commitments to defend other nations, and reducing our military presence overseas. Then there are the domestic issues: paring down the federal government, following the Constitution, ending deficit spending, rescuing the economy--"all fought over conservative principles upon which the GOP was once based. In these initial skirmishes, the McCain forces will probably win, but the result will be that McCain will be perceived as less and less of a conservative, and less and less of a Republican. Fewer and fewer Red-State delegates will be looking forward to having him in their districts after the convention.
Then comes the chance they have been waiting for to show their displeasure. When Ron Paul's name is placed in nomination there will be one of the biggest floor demonstrations and outbreaks of spontaneous enthusiasm in the history of political conventions. When Ron Paul speaks pandemonium will break out. It will be far more exciting than the Republican convention of 1976 when Reagan almost won; more exciting for television viewers than the riots at 1968 Democratic convention; indeed, it will surpass the Democratic convention of 1948 with its fights over civil rights and the Dixiecrats walking out.
But the Ron Paul supporters will not walk out. Instead, Ron Paul will be asked to endorse McCain, which he will refuse as he has already refused because of the war. The party must then and there face the stark choice between nominating the "war candidate," or choosing another nominee--"all under the glare of the biggest television audience in history.
The key to all this is not the simply the war, but continuing war, expanding war, endless war. That will rivet television viewers around the world. For this will be the overriding issue at the convention. Cameras will focus on the faces of Republican delegates as they agonizingly come to realize that the image John McCain as the "Candidate of Endless War" will not only define the coming election, but will also define the image of the Republican party around the globe for a long time to come.
A Brief Glance a the Past
Such a future does not look rosy if one considers history. In the middle of the first half of the nineteenth century, the Whigs were one of the two major political parties in the United States, capturing the presidency several times. In 1852 the Whigs nominated General Winfield Scott, a war hero whose stance looked to the electorate as inevitably leading to war. Scott decisively lost election and the Whig party never recovered. Its next convention in 1856 was so small and dispirited the party simply disappeared. Abe Lincoln was a Whig, but he learned the lesson: never become a war candidate. He left the Whigs to join the nascent Republican party, but although he subsequently became a war president, his stance in the campaign was not "war, war, war," but "save the Union." John McCain looks destined to be the Republican party’s Winfield Scott.
Back to the Present
By the time the platform fights are over the choice before the delegates at the Republican convention will be stark: Either go ahead and nominate McCain--though this will mean electoral defeat and the disappearance of the party--"or scuttle McCain.
But, can McCain be scuttled? It seems impossible, since he has more than enough pledged delegates to win the nomination. But it can be easily done. All that is necessary is for a few hundred of McCain’s pledged delegates simply to "call in sick" on the day of balloting. That will be enough to deny him the nomination on the first ballot and open the convention.
Is it likely? It depends on whether or not the delegates begin to sense the electoral and party disaster looming head. If, for example, Romney and Huckabee grasp what a McCain candidacy will mean to the party, their juices will flow. They will have to decide whether to continue supporting McCain, "call in sick," or join the fray. Acting either idealistically to save the party (for each imagines himself a future candidate), or selfishly to win the nomination for themselves this time, they may not only hold onto their pledged delegates, but canvas for more, at the same time spreading the idea that McCain can be stopped by encouraging McCain delegates to stay in their rooms on balloting day. For, if McCain fails on the first ballot, all pledged delegates--even McCain’s--are released from their pledges and can vote for whomever they want.
If this scenario plays out, by the end of the first ballot the convention will suddenly be wide open. Whom then will it choose? There will be four hats in the ring. McCain’s of course will still be there, plus Romney, Huckabee, and Paul. After the first ballot the convention will deadlock, none of the candidates appearing strong enough to clinch the nomination. Delegates will be arguing among themselves: If McCain can’t win because of his war position, neither can Romney or Huckabee, because each of them is as committed to the war as McCain--Huckabee even more so. Neither can change his position without losing his last shred of credibility.
More importantly, however, if either Romney or Huckabee emerges from a convention that denies the nomination to the man who won most of the primaries, it will look like the worst case of political manipulation since, well…
Another Glance at the Past
…the Whigs denied the nomination to their own sitting president, Millard Fillmore (who had assumed the presidency upon the death of Whig president Zachary Taylor). in order to nominate Winfield Scott. Fillmore had wanted peace and continued negotiation between North and South in order to avoid war, while the convention wanted a stronger position. Thus they rejected the candidate with the best claim to the nomination: their own sitting president. This plus the fact that Scott was a Southerner whose election would likely bring war doomed the party.
Back to the Present Again
This will be what the Republicans want to avoid in 2008. But do they have any other choice? Fortunately, they do, for that is precisely what Ron Paul has all the while foreseen, carefully positioning himself to save the party and win the election. Is this possible? Would the party ever turn to Ron Paul to save it? Consider the following factors in relation to how Ron Paul is positioned, and decide for yourself.
D. How Ron Paul Has Positioned Himself to Save the Party and Win the Election
First, whether McCain, Romny, or Huckabee is the Republican nominees, the Democrat candidate will get the anti-war vote. Only Ron Paul can effectively counter this, for he is the only candidate who is genuinely opposed to the war. Both Clinton and Obama are beholden to the war lobbies and dare not offend them, though they are allowed to indulge in peace-sounding speeches--so long as their backers are confident that they will toe the line once in office. But when confronted by Paul, neither Clinton or Obama will be able to continue speaking out of both sides of their mouths. Only Ron Paul can effectively make this an issue, catch them both up, and win the anti-war vote of both Right and Left.
Second, neither Clinton nor Obama will be able to deal with Paul on the issues or in the debates. Compared to them, Paul is the only candidate of real change, and he will make both Clinton and Obama look like the biggest defenders of the status quo since Herbert Hoover. Paul will have all the initiative, and they will be completely flustered. Paul will raise issues of war and empire, economics and deficits, debt and trade, jobs and the Federal Reserve and currency devaluation, taxes and spending, and most of all, the meaning of the Constitution--"from a perspective that neither Clinton nor Obama is prepared in the least to deal with. Voters will get the drift--Paul is the only one talking about real change, which is what voters have been hollering for most! None of the slogans Clinton and Obama have used all their lives will work against Paul; he can make both of them look as shallow, mendacious, and uninformed as they really are.
Third, compared to any Democratic candidate, Ron Paul is trusted, with both a public and personal life that is morally untouchable and exemplary. Thus Paul, and only Paul, can truly energize the vast distrust felt toward Clinton and Obama--and politicians in general. Not since Abe Lincoln or Dwight Eisenhower have the voters seen such a candidate--"and both of these amply demonstrate the powerful attraction of such integrity. Ron Paul will shine like the sun compared to the lunar mendaciousness of Clinton or Obama.
Fourth, besides the war and the economy, Paul has created a whole other set of other issues that will not only make his opponents cringe, but provide perfect sound bites. Voters will be asked, for example: "Will you vote for the Democrats--or for the Constitution?" "Are you for preserving your jobs--or NAFTA?" "Are you for manipulation of the currency--or against the Federal Reserve?" "Should America follow the advice of the Founders--or keep up our entangling alliances?" "Can Americans afford the cost of policing the world?" "Does invading other countries really make us safer?" These issues can energize almost the entire Republican base, and will put Paul’s Democrat opponent on the defensive from Day One. Imagine Clinton or Obama trying to defend the IRS or the Federal Reserve, or explaining the Constitution. They will become laughing stocks, and Republicans will not have had such a good time since Ronald Reagan asked "Where’s the beef?"
Finally, when Ron Paul emerges from the marginalization and obscurity to which the mainstream media have consigned him up until now, he will assume the mantle of an American her--the little guy who was always put down, but kept fighting, and to whom his party finally turned in its direst need. He alone fits the classic American image of Valley Forge: George Washington emerging from two solid years of defeats to win a stunning victory over at British at Trenton, thereby saving the American Revolution. Even though, or more so because, Ron Paul lost all the primaries, he will be seen as the new "Honest Abe," who rose from losing every election until he was finally called to the presidency. Ron Paul as "Benjy Engie"--or the "Little Engine that could."
E. The Bottom Line
Eventually, the most sincere Republican delegates will realize that, on the one hand, if any one of their other candidates is nominated, the GOP will come out of this electio--win or lose--united only on, and identified only with, one issue: war. This will spell not only electoral defeat, but the doom of the Republican party. On the other hand, the delegates can realize that this fate is not pre-ordained; they have a choice. And that they can still choose to nominate Ron Paul, the only candidate who can:
§ save the Republican party;
§ get the war issue off its back;
§ take the wind out of his opponent’s sails;
§ put both his opponents and the media on the defensive;.
§ show up the shallowness and mendaciousness of his Democrat opponents;
§ offer real change;
§ take the initiative by presenting new and exciting issues for which his opponents are unprepared;
§ surprise the media and leave the "talking heads" speechless;
§ give the "Grand Old Party" both a principled and exciting base from which to face the future;
§ bring a new dynamic to the 2008 election year; and
§ make Republicans once again feel proud to be Republicans.
F. The Genius of Ron Paul’s Strategy
The true genius of Ron Paul will be seen in how this strategy works out, because Ron Paul is guaranteed to win either way. On the one hand, if the Republican party wakes up to the disaster it is facing, it will have no choice but to nominate him. On the other hand, if the GOP does not nominate Paul, the party will crack up after November, after which Paulites will easily take it over. Perhaps they will have to change its name, but in the end, there will only be two political forces in America: Ron Paul versus the Democrats.
And so, my fellow Americans in Europe for Ron Paul, and all other Paulites everywhere, fear not, and do not wallow in despair or dismay. Re-brighten your eyes, refill your hearts with confidence, and redouble your efforts. Thanks to Ron Paul’s strategy, the future is ours

Book Bomb
I love the book bomb idea but I think the money from the sales should be given back to help get Ron Paul in the White House. I set up a way to get the new book listed but I'm donating 100% of the profits to Ron Paul grass root supporters. Here is the link for more information.

Ron Paul NEEDS YOU Feb 1st
Please donate at least $600 on Feb 1st to Ron Paul in order to meet his $8.4 million request. His headquarters has made this SPECIFIC request and it is up to us to meet it in a BIG way.
This is the best investment possible for your money...only Ron Paul's economic plan can fix our dollar value.

Please copy and paste this message everywhere you can...we MUST come through for Ron Paul!!!!
Funding for Dr Paul's run for the White House, what's next?
Well it seems that the president and members of congress just gave us the solution to fund Dr Paul's bid on the presidency. They are going to print up a fresh new batch of Federal Reserve Notes out of thin air and distribute they to us common folks. Sort of a bribe, like giving a little kid money for candy and telling him to go away. Well, my thought is to put the last of our FRN's to work securing our freedoms from the very people trying to bribe us. Some estimates I have seen recently, show that the good doctor will need another $150M to bag the deal. Thus we need 250,000 people to donate their bribe toward the march toward freedom. We basically need to educate a majority of people in this country about what is really going on here in the USA. Make the money work. If one considers the return on your $600 in terms of eliminating the IRS, FED, and inflation TAX from your life, it can easily be the best investment you will every make. And it is found money, it costs nothing from your expected cash flow. Dr Paul has my vote and my $600.
Campaign stratagy
Dr P needs to invest some of the millions of campaign dollars into a serious MSM flood of commercials pointing out the flaws and agendas of the rest of the repub field and comparing them to the flawless and REAL answers to this country's woes that RP is campaigning on!
Flood ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, HNN, (and forget fox news and their koolaid conservative lapdogs for the NAU) with some well produced commercials with his message, (maybe a 15-30 min. 'info mercial?) and just as important, pointing out and proving the flawed economic and 'business as usual' agenda of the rest of the NAU lapdog candidates!
These propaganda machines are where most people in this country get their info, unfortunately, so thats where he needs to spend some serious money on getting his message out!
There are still a LOT of people out there who've never heard of RP, and his excellent plan to save this great nation!
We cant totally depend on the internet!
I'm sure the RP campaign is saving some $$ for the RNC, but we need to get there first!!
We'll raise more money!! Look what we've done so far!
I dont think the money will run out, I personally know some fat cats ready to pump money into his campaign when he needs it!
ATTACK! ATTACK! ATTACK!!!!!!!!
Hi from South Africa
I'm an American citizen, living in South Africa (parents came here when I was a kid).
I'm involved in the Rock music scene here and run an e-mag about SA Rock music that has subscribers all over the world (a few in the US too.)
I heard about Ron Paul via Alex Jones' website, and since then have been promoting Ron Paul as much as I can.
I've put a Ron Paul banner on my own website; put links in my e-mag, on my My Space and Face Book pages, emailed all my US subscribers personally; and donated to the campaign (even though the exchange rate means that it wasn't as much as I would have liked to give.)
Please, can anyone tell me how I can get Ron Paul merchandise (T-shirts, badges, etc) here in South Africa? I tried to order direct from his website, but they don't send outside of the US.
And if you have ideas as to anything else I can do to help, please let me know! Thanks.
Ron Paul = hope for America = hope for the world!
You Tube Counts
I have noticed over the past 3-5 weeks many Ron Paul You Tube videos on which the counter does not change. Consider taking screen shots to verify for yourself. Try Ron Paul on Late Edition CNN 01.06.08 to verify this. Something is not right, as the numbers change for /on other folks videos... With the viewing audience of CNN, this does not stand up to logic. An erronous number creates a false impression... especially to a new-by who is not familiar with the 'game(s)' This type of irregularity raises doubt in me individually regarding the integrity of the host. It's just happened too many times over the past month.
Dress the Part & Turn Heads!....
In his next televised debate or appearance and in following, Ron Paul should dress in an iconic and memorable fashion capturing the revolutionary spirit of his stance and campaign, forcing Americans to question how big of a government we really want. Think how IMPACTING it would be if he walked out on stage dressed like one of our forefathers and armed with lots of Thomas Jefferson quotes!!!!...... Get people talking and reminding them why the Constitution was written.
It's been too long, and we have forgotten.....
Pastors of churches influencing votes
I just had the opportunity to meet a woman who is an evangelist. What follows is her mindset; the bible is the law of the land; the pastor's word is the law of the land; if you need answer to anything, go to your pastor. This is the conclusion; their pastors are, many time, telling them who they should vote for. She told me she voted in the last election for Bush because her pastor told her he was the best man. FYI.
Huckabee Shill Exposed! Youtube
There is a shill/troll running Huckabee ads on youtube.
http://youtube.com/watch?... In observing last few days ,and to my shame biting on a few comments, I decided to check profile (explorehuckabee) as the video owner. It claims to be Huckabee himself, owns 145 videos and links to his official site. This shill/troll keeps conversation with it's alter-egos, rates it's own comments (+) and of course (-) all opposing comments. I've seen as many as 12 ratings within a few minutes even during wee hours. In checking profiles "They" all log in seconds apart. In just a glance through last 2-3 days of comments you can see it. This also runs up video ratings and views for the video owner. When challenged, it gets irate and sends me foul messages from several of it's names and consistantly accuses others of being Paul supporters. Appears either a full time job, running macros or just plain psycho. Reporting to youtube is useless. Not sure what if anything can be done but thought passing on might help everyone to beware. When posting on any blogs, videos, etc., be respectful and don't get entangled with shills. Appears to be yet one more example of type people supporting Huckabee.
One youtube Huckabee shill/troll usernames: MaxPower35700,PooPooPaulette,PaulettePatrol,the9REALDEAL, alliepudunt, alliepudunt99, mefleabtye, mikesblack, chyllaxyn, probably more.
It also duplicates others usernames with typos, as it did mine.
Be careful out there. Lots of sickos!

Bush Supporters also support Ron Paul
Hello fellow Ron Paul supporters. I'm sure this post will enrage some of you. I am a person who fully supported George Bush in both elections and still see him as a 100% honest and correct leader.
I'm sure many of you wonder what I'm doing supporting Ron Paul, and I'll tell you. I had never heard of Ron Paul before the Neil Cavuto pre-debate interview, and began listening to him and thinking how could someone be so right and get this far in the process?
While I think Ron Paul has an opinion that it was an illegal war, in my opinion it technically is most definitely not illegal and I will not debate that fact. http://www.truthaboutiraq...
But where I agree with everyone here and why I think it is the most important event of the last 200 years that he be elected is that he is exactly what this country needs at exactly this time in history. The Federal Government needs a "market correction" for lack of a better analogy. It needs scaled back at least 50% in size and authority. And a man like Ron Paul is the man to do it.
George Bush has set many precedences while in office, and made it a very strong office (legally). And what the country needs right now, is Ron Paul to use those increases in presidential power to slash the government's size and authority in half.
Thank You
Go Go
First post... GoGo Dr.RP!!! This man is THE one...I so trust him!

Halliburton Charged with Selling Nuclear Technologies to Iran
#2 Halliburton Charged with Selling Nuclear Technologies to Iran
Source:
Global Research.ca, August 5, 2005
Title: “Halliburton Secretly Doing Business With Key Member of Iran’s Nuclear Team”
Author: Jason Leopold
Faculty Evaluator: Catherine Nelson
Student Researchers: Kristine Medeiros and Pla Herr
According to journalist Jason Leopold, sources at former Cheney company Halliburton allege that, as recently as January of 2005, Halliburton sold key components for a nuclear reactor to an Iranian oil development company. Leopold says his Halliburton sources have intimate knowledge of the business dealings of both Halliburton and Oriental Oil Kish, one of Iran’s largest private oil companies.
Additionally, throughout 2004 and 2005, Halliburton worked closely with Cyrus Nasseri, the vice chairman of the board of directors of Iran-based Oriental Oil Kish, to develop oil projects in Iran. Nasseri is also a key member of Iran’s nuclear development team. Nasseri was interrogated by Iranian authorities in late July 2005 for allegedly providing Halliburton with Iran’s nuclear secrets. Iranian government officials charged Nasseri with accepting as much as $1 million in bribes from Halliburton for this information.
Oriental Oil Kish dealings with Halliburton first became public knowledge in January 2005 when the company announced that it had subcontracted parts of the South Pars gas-drilling project to Halliburton Products and Services, a subsidiary of Dallas-based Halliburton that is registered to the Cayman Islands. Following the announcement, Halliburton claimed that the South Pars gas field project in Tehran would be its last project in Iran. According to a BBC report, Halliburton, which took thirty to forty million dollars from its Iranian operations in 2003, “was winding down its work due to a poor business environment.”
However, Halliburton has a long history of doing business in Iran, starting as early as 1995, while Vice President Cheney was chief executive of the company. Leopold quotes a February 2001 report published in the Wall Street Journal, “Halliburton Products and Services Ltd., works behind an unmarked door on the ninth floor of a new north Tehran tower block. A brochure declares that the company was registered in 1975 in the Cayman Islands, is based in the Persian Gulf sheikdom of Dubai and is “non-American.” But like the sign over the receptionist’s head, the brochure bears the company’s name and red emblem, and offers services from Halliburton units around the world.” Moreover mail sent to the company’s offices in Tehran and the Cayman Islands is forwarded directly to its Dallas headquarters.......(more)

MSNBC - MorningJoe 11.27.07 - Phone Interview w/Dr. Paul
MSNBC conducted a 5-6 minute telephone interview with Dr. Paul this morning. Joe was professional, the other two anchors made comments such as "we will probabally get 80,000 e-mails" implying that was a nuisance. General tenor of interview was negative (surprise) with - "when will you drop out references etc.". And, of course, after hanging up with Dr. Paul all 3 anchors discussed Dr. Paul's "poor" national poll numbers.
Sorry I did not record actual interview.

I support Michael's effort to keep this site on target.
Freedom of speech gives us the right to mount a soapbox and shout out our message, but it does not entitle us to an audience, nor does it entitle us to set up our soapbox on someone else's property.
This site is Michael's property, and it was set up for and about helping Ron Paul's bid for the presidency. There are powerful forces out there opposing him, and they are already sending out their attack dogs to spoil his chances any way they can. One way is to join support groups like this one with the goal of destroying them. I have seen it happen with other forums. We probably all have. By trying to keep the discourse civil and on topic, Michael is trying to protect Ron and us from the spoilers. I am glad of it. Flame wars won't help Ron. We are in this together to save our country. Let us treat each other with Aloha.
Michael, you are 'DA MAN!
Michael,
Yours has been the contribution that "keeps giving" in this campaign. You have given us the platform upon which we can both speak to each other and the masses. On the rare occasions that the website has gone down, I do think I began to shake from withdrawls (lol). I'm addicted!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!!!
Thank you Michael!
This place is a valuable resource to the cause. You and this site are very much appreciated. Thank you!
Liberty is just what the Doctor has ordered.
I read simpleman's post and...
there was absolutely nothing wrong with that post... he was not mean to anyone... his ethusiasm just goes to show that there are people like him out there... I would not piss off a person who has supported Dr. Paul and his message for as long as he has...
Even though this website is technically private property, you should not get all high and mighty and think that you can just erase every post that you don't agree with...
That is against everything that Ron Paul stands for...
It's not like simpleman was a spammer or anti-Ron Paul... he was for him...
just my two cents...
Thank you so very much for this forum
I can see it has done a lot of good. eg Otherwise it wouldn't have been listed on the USA ad coming out on Wed 11/21.
Thanks, Mike
I am no tech expert, so I don't know what causes these periodic collapses except maybe high traffic. You could probably delete threads at your own discretion, if you feel they violate user terms. After all, this is your private property and your contribution to Ron Paul's campaign. You've done great things here.
Canada Loves Ron Paul
Thanks Mike
Thanks for posting these rules. I was un-aware of several of them, and have broken a few myself. Will follow the house rules from here on out. Love the site, love the people, love the freedom!! Thanks for posting this!!

Editor: requesting rule #3 change.
Michael,
I would actually prefer that full text of articles of interest were copied and posted here along with the original hyperlink.
My reasons:
1. We don't control the originating site and the article may get moved, changed or deleted at any instant.
2. Sometimes we don't want to drive traffic to that site or leave browser referer header information there.
Please reconsider rule # 3.
Otherwise, thank you for all the great work you are doing!
That would generally be Copyright Violation
You can post a short piece and link to the rest, but posting complete articles is a violation of copyright and puts both the poster and owner of the site in jeopardy of legal hassles if not outright legal action.
Finding the balance between free speech and respect for others.
Many have expressed concern in past threads that any attempt to identify disruptive (troller) type people and prevent them from harming our group does not align with the libertarian message of freedom because it would restrict the free speech of some people.
You've probably heard Ron Paul at times express the principle of freedom by saying something like, "Everyone has the right to do [or say] whatever they want as long as it doesn't *hurt* anyone else." (Not an exact quote.)
And likewise you've probably heard it said that it is illegal to yell "FIRE!" in a crowded auditorium or building (for obvious reasons). And I think we could all agree that somebody who would deliberately yell "fire" in this type of situation would definitely fit the description of "destructive" person.
And because there are people like this in our society one of the legitimate roles of government as mandated by the Constitution is to make laws to protect the rights of citizens against willful harm by such people.
As Michael said in an earlier post titled (MORE) GROWING PAINS... :
"I've run other forums in the past, and have seen how quickly disruptive users can take the whole thing down! I don't want that to happen with the DP."
So, it is entirely rational and just for a group like ours to make rules to protect ourselves from the destructive types who would take advantage of the high level of freedom of speech offered at this site to "freely" spew their negativity, doubt, personal attacks, etc., etc. For to not defend ourselves against such could result in far more harm being done to the RP campaign by the loss of DP.
And so thank you Michael for your updated Forum Posting Guidelines! It's a good next step in ensuring DP continues to be here for all of us long into the future.
Upward and onward!!!
Thank you Micheal
for this site.

Thanks for this great site.

It never ceases to amaze me the wealth of creativity in the form of videos, music and websites that Ron Paul supporters come up with!
