Praise for Alex Jones

I am not exactly a big fan of Alex. I have listened for years, but have frequently switched off because he is often pompous, self-righteous and yells.

But there is no broadcaster or media personality who has been more supportive of Ron Paul than Alex Jones. Many of us first learned of Dr. Paul on Alex's show; we have heard the interviews with Dr. Paul, with Rand Paul, with other RP supporters, with Trevor Lymon and this is to Alex's credit.

Today's show had a guest (whose name I do not recall) from New Hampshire who was spirited and articulate in his enthusiasm for Ron Paul, views which Alex obviously shares. And, every day, Alex speaks of the need for a Ron Paul presidency if our Republic is to be saved from the neo-con/CFR gang.

I do not often like or agree with what Alex Jones says, but I must give credit where it is due. He's been a loyal and outspoken supporter and I salute him for that.

My personal take on Alex Jones

I only discovered Alex a little less than a year now. Admittedly at first (or second) listen some of his rants took me back a bit. But then since I already shared an understanding of much that he was covering I realized that it is a necessary part of his quest to wake people up. like the biblical Ezekiel who under threat of death would not shot up “I feel it burning in my bones-it must come out,’ Alex is driven by something that he knows may very well one day end with his death. His urge is to awaken as many people as he can. I can’t think of too many quiet alarm clocks (although there is that nice Zen model). Plus having grown up around enough southern preachers he gravitates to that firebrand style.

He was the first to turn me on to Ron Paul. Ditto the NAU, the Anglo/American roots of the radical Islamic movement and much of the connection of the early eugenicists with todays fake environmental movement to name a few.

One day he was carrying on about new York city enacting a much stricter permitting rule for filming in the city. This impacts directly on much of my line of work. Alex was howling for anyone who could to go up to the mayors office at 4PM that day for the protest. I said ‘by golly he’s right” (or something to that effect) grabbed a camera and headed up. There I met up with Tom, and Luke and Nate of Wearechange and began an association with them. I’ve shot and cut several pieces since then and had the opportunity to spend the day with Alex on 9-11-07 at ground zero. Here is some video from that:

Being with Alex for an extended period of time really revealed the human behind the personality. Always friendly, often tired but always moving, quite introspective actually.
Those outbursts are few and far between, he has to build himself up to them and it seems to really sap his energies. But he keeps renewing and throwing himself on the pyre again and again.

So yeah, he can be a bit much at times (especially for some of our rather staid NorthEasterners) but he is dedicated to waking people up and spurring them to action. I woke up when I saw the 2nd tower fall just a few blocks downtown from me. It took Alex though to get me off my ass. For that I am eternally greatful.

The first part of any movement is MOVE so get up and sweat and make a difference!

agreed

Alex is a great patriot.

Great post ^^

Thanks for the behind-the-scenes story, Steveoh. It's great to see someone getting active.

OK, this one caused me to actually register here...

I've been checking DP several times a day for the past several weeks, but zenpiper's great post, (and a few nitwit responses to it), has caused me to register.

God bless Alex Jones for what he does, for who he is, and for the way he does what he does.

If you people - especially you men - arent beyond angry yet and approaching mouth-foaming berserker rage, you might want to check your drawers to see if the NWO has succeeded in stealing a couple of things from you already.

Wake up, Church! Wake up, Dixie! Wake up, America!

Deo Vindice; Resurgam!

Welcome aboard!!

Yes, your reply hit home with me. Us 'men' have been imasculated at work, church, social settings and even at home. The societal 'norm' that we are forced to live by these days has indeed made wimps of us and yeah, I do feel an underlying rage at was has become of us. we try to work within the system, as it is today, and yet our needs and desires are completly ignored.

Wake Up People!

Hi!

I'm from Slovenia and I've been watching, reading and listening everything about Ron Paul for about 5 months now. He's a true hero for me.

Today in a Slovenian newspaper (Dnevnik) was everything about the New Hampshire and who is running for president (list of democrats and republicans) and guess what? Ron Paul was NOT MENTIONED. I'm sick of quasi democracy.

About Alex Jones, he's a hero too. I've watched almost all his videos and it's true that he yells, but so fucking what. I'm yelling too, because the world that we live in is so fucked up.

Good to hear from you

.
It must be frustrating, watching from the sidelines - and Slovenia is the sidelines! - you can vote in an unofficial worldwide poll. Dr. Paul is so far ahead now it's a joke. Still, it is nice to see.

Thanks

Thanks for the link.

I'm spreading the word (sending emails, talking to friends, forum posts, ...) about Ron Paul Revolution. People must become interested in politics!

Thanks Alex!

I too first heard of Dr Ron Paul from listening to Alex and his interviews
with Dr Paul, and reading Alex's sites, and it expanded from there.
Thanks Alex, you are a true friend of the American people and the rest of
the world as well!

In the face of adversity...

... I'd probably rather have Alex Jones at my side rather than anyone else that I can think of. He's an easy target for criticism for many but, few have promoted and fought for freedom and liberty with the verve of Alex Jones.

The r3VOLution will not be televised. It will be uploaded.

Link to Ron Paul War Room?

Alex Jones has done a huge amount for Ron Paul's campaign and this entire movement. How about the Daily Paul putting a link on the sidebar to Alex's new web site dedicated to Ron Paul news?

Zach

Alex Jones has opened many eyes! I took the red pill!

Alex is a great supporter of Ron Paul, and his radio show is where I learned about Dr. Paul about 2 and a half years ago. I also learned a great many things which have changed my entire view of the world. He is sometimes a bit abrasive to listen to, so I don't listen every day anymore, but I did so for many months, and I learned more about the way the world really works in that time than in the whole rest of my life. His documentaries are also fabulous, and most are posted on Google Video. Two of his most recent films, Terrorstorm and Endgame should be required viewing for everyone. Once you watch those, you will want to see the rest! He has many websites, but 2 of the main ones are infowars.com and prisonplanet.com.

Alex Jones is a great American!

This man is on the front line fighting the Establishment! Brave and honorable to say the least. History will look very favorably upon Alex Jones. He may be rambunctious, but he speaks truth and has the facts to back up what he says. I understand why he is so vocal. He wants the same things we do. Freedom and happiness. He make no qualms about his message and I support him, as I do Ron Paul, One Hundred Percent!

The American Revolution 2.0 will not be televised... It will be downloaded!!!

Applauds Alex Jones!!

Alex Jones is the beacon of light in the turbulent storm guiding us through the rocky shoals. He has definitely been the most thought provoking radio host I have ever heard. If it weren't for him I would still be in the dark about much of the corruption in our country and abroad.

I am also thankful to Dr. Paul for coming on Alex's show to give us the latest updates on legislation that is extremely unconstitutional.

Knowledge is Power and these men are true Patriots!

"The moral and constitutional obligations of our representatives in Washington are to protect our liberty, not coddle the world, precipitating no-win wars, while bringing bankruptcy and economic turmoil to our people." ~Ron Paul

About a year ago, I somehow

About a year ago, I somehow stumbled on prisionplanet.com while doing some research. I thought I'd listen to Alex's radio show a couple times and see what he had to say. I was very discontent with the presidential candidates at the time and may have never given Dr. Paul a look if it weren't for Alex's support and interviews of Paul. As a result of my support for Paul, I have several family members and friends that now support him, I'm in a Meet up group, and I’m a Precinct Committee Officer in Washington state.

Alex Jones should get credit, because credit is due.... period!

Can't stand him

First of all, I don't like his feigned Wolfman Jack growl. Sounds very phony.

Second, I don't think he's good for Paul because he attracts 9/11 truthers to the movement which hurts the campaign. I think the net effect is negative.

Thirdly, he's too fawning over Paul, almost groveling. It's nauseating. He's just overall a distasteful individual.

we owe it to the familys for real answers

i grew up a hop skip and jump from ground zero believe me firemen, policemen, people in the building say a different story, too many questions not enough answers .ron paul would not associate with someone he thought was crazy would he?use your head how could they admit the biggest crime of the century .put option, insurance ,gold,WAR ON TERROR get real homeboy there are alot more people hear that are not scared of the truth .how does a real independant investigation hurt you? did anyone you khow get MURDERED?hope not ! if anyone with even a remote amount of intell about our gov would know this is not our conspiracy but theirs!all we want is answers if,1% is questionable new hearing no?about 85% dont make much sense? able danger ?building 7?pentagon?shanksville?the point is we want the whole truth i dont care if you cant take your medicine you suffer not me. what do i have to gain ? dr paul spoke heroically about nwo?911 to hot to hold .look at (brad blog) sibel edminds nuke treason 911 breaking news face the truth!

In case you didn't know..

Paul says the theories that 9/11 was an inside job are "preposterous." See the Glen Beck interview.

Who Cares?

What Devon doesn't realize is that what hurts Ron's campaign is people that attempt to control a decentralized movement.

What's with people complaining about he'll attract this or that? Who Cares? We are all Americans. What is going to make this Revolution different than most is that it will be a revolution unified under one common cause: American Freedom.

Ron Paul can handle it and you are falling into a trap if you want to exclude certain Americans based on their behavior or thoughts. That doesn't sound like what this movement is all about to me.

Well said buddy

Ron Paul attracts everybody who is hungry for truth and accepts everybody who wants freedom and liberty.

"he attracts x group to the

"he attracts x group to the movement which hurts the campaign."

You could replace x with almost any word and it would sound like a Democrat speaking. Sorry my friend, I'm not buying it. The only thing that hurts the campaign is comments concerning collectivism.

Maybe you need to talk to Dr. Paul personally about this... he's been on the show for a LONG time and keeps coming back.

I am buying it

"Sorry my friend, I'm not buying it."

I have been trying to convince a long time friend to come to support Dr Paul. The other day while driving, a car in front of us had two bumper stickers, one with the Ron Paul revolution sticker on one side and on the other side one that read "9/11 was an inside job". My friend said if that is the type of supporters Ron Paul attracts, I want no part of it.

The 9/11 truthers are not an asset to this campaign, they are a liability.

And furthermore, the Doctor does not agree with their conspiracy theories.

Should that guy

Peel off his 9/11 sticker then? Cause I bet you 100-1 that the 9/11 sticker was there LONG before the first Ron Paul sticker was EVER printed. It is going to take all of us to make this work.I In fact it will take more than the current "all of us"( IE: 10% IA & 9%NH) Please realize that and everyone drop our differences till we get this man elected. I'm pretty sure all of us truthers know that the only hope for a new investigation is Ron Paul. They spent 40 million investigating Bill Clinton's sex scandal. They spent 3 million on investigating 9/11. The biggest crime in American history. And whats silly is.... Other than that one thing, we see eye to eye. Every single issue on Ron Paul's agenda.. we see eye to eye. After we get him elected and get our investigation.. we can go back to ripping each others heads off for less important stuff. =)

Was this the car you saw?
http://a138.ac-images.mys...

He doesn't agree with you

"I'm pretty sure all of us truthers know that the only hope for a new investigation is Ron Paul."

WHy would he do that when he does not believe in your warped conspiracy theories.

I wish you conspiracy freaks would find another candidate. You really don't help this one.

Here's my point, you can not

Here's my point, you can not control who comes to the campaign. Instead of claiming x,y,z group is a liability, spend an extra hour canvassing.

Here's the fun part, I'm not a 9/11 truther.. yet, I understand that movement brought a lot of people to Dr. Paul early on. The bottomline.. you're trying to influence that which you have no control.. it's a decentralized campaign.

But it's more fun to be right on DailyPaul.. I understand that position.

RIght

I had a similar experience. I brought a friend to a meetup because they wanted to help campaign for Paul, and there was some joker there handing out "9/11 was an inside job" flyers out. My friend was revolted by that and stopped all assocation with Paul. This is the reaction of the average person to 9/11 truthers. They're truly disgusting. It's so revolting that people see it as not even worth the effort of working for Paul if they have to mingle with these people.

Why not listen to what NYC firefighters had to say on 9-11-01?

http://video.google.com/v...

http://video.google.com/v...

http://video.google.com/v...

While you're at it why not look at what the vice president for research at New Mexico Mining Institute and Technology said on the day of 9-11? http://911-engineers.blog...

If I have still have your attention look at the latest information and research from Architects and Engineers for 911 truth http://www.ae911truth.org....

I happen to be a student studying physics and I know for a fact that buildings cannot fall at free fall speed into their own footprint unless all their structural supports give way at exactly the same time which can only be done using controlled demolition.

If you think it is so crazy to believe that it is possible that individuals within our government would stage terrorist attacks as a pretext for war I would like to point you to a declassified document from 1962 (http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarc...) which documents the various plans the joint chiefs of staff were discussing as potential pretexts for war one of which was to develop a

"Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities and even in Washington,”

Enough said.

Great post Graham. Keep up

Great post Graham. Keep up the good fight. Ignore the ones who idolize what they view as their 'benevolent papa govt', they are too far gone.

"All men in power should be distrusted.." -James Madison

More Evidence

Hey Graham...thanks very much for the info.

While you're at it Devon or anyone else interested in this subject why don't you check out this video that explores the evidence:

http://video.google.com/v...

It's about RP's message!

those 9/11 truthers are using their 1st amendment rights if you ask me, and if your friend wants no part of it then he doesn't get it!
it's not about what kinda wackos your friend thinks are supporting RP, it's all about RP's message, no more, no less.
There are bound to be people supporting the same cause, that your mates doesn't agree about, but if he looks beyond that and opens his eyes and ears to RP and not the rest, he will get it, don't worry ;-) Believe in your persuasive powers :-) He will finally crack under pressure.

But you have to understand

That for most people, the instinctive thing to do when they find out someone is a 9/11 truther is to be disgusted and want to get as far away as possible. Yes people should be more rational and be able to separate that from Paul. That's what I do. But, most of the public is not so rational. They act on instinct. Therefore having 9/11 truthers in the Paul movement turns a lot of people away and hurts Paul's chances. It's best that they be driven away.

You know very little about

You know very little about reality. The majority of Americans aren't stupid enough to buy the official BS story. Educate yourself, quick.

"All men in power should be distrusted.." -James Madison

"It's best that they be

"It's best that they be driven away."

I'm so glad you are the general of the Ron Paul movement. Oh wait, you're not any more important than anyone else looking for freedom. Look, if people are talking about 9/11 as Dr. Paul's, that's completely wrong. But to lump every 'truther' in that category would be somewhat ignorant and a stretch at best.

and furthermore Ron Paul and they agree on policies

Look, this is just an excuse not to think. An excuse to get out of political participation the easy way. I want no part of it.

Normally I just ignore rants like this, but...

First of all, Devon pretends to know that Alexs' voice is faked to sound like a famous DJ from the past, as though he needed that effect to be distinguishable from all the mealy mouth neo-con talk-show hosts out there. Sounds pretty shallow to me.

Second, Devon thinks he knows more about what will hurt Ron Pauls' campaign than Ron knows himself, since he has been on his radio show often over the years, including the other day when Alex had both Rand and Ron Paul on separately. Since current statistics rate confidence in the governments' story about 9/11 at less than 30%, I think their net loss is negligible.

Third, since Devon has already shown so little respect for Dr. Pauls' ability to chose his media support wisely, anything praiseworthy that Alex says to encourage the massive action that his listeners have already undertaken is trashed by this envious twit.

He is a bigger patriot than you ever will be

Devon, my fellow RP supporter, guess what, Alex Jones is a bigger patriot than you. And me. And most of us. Whatever you think about him, I think we can agree he has done more to fight the NWO and has been doing so for many years. You call him names, the MSM call us Ron Paul Supporters names. Well, well, you are behaving just like them

This revolution is worldwide. If America fails, God help us all

Alex is a real patriot. I

Alex is a real patriot. I mean, the man ENCOURAGES others to copy his material a freely distribute it. Honestly, I couldn't live on the money he takes in a year... yet, he does what he believes is right for America., despite a risk to his own safety.

I don't agree with everything he says, however, I admire his dedication to freedom.

He is brave, smart and funny - I just love him

My dream scenario would be Ron Paul as President and Alex Jones will be the head of either CIA, Department of Justice or head of Homeland security(if Ron cannot get rid of it)

LOL....

I could see it now...

A covert operation with Alex Jones and his bull horn. Somehow I don't think he could stay to quite while fighting the NWO. The idea is great though.

The American Revolution 2.0 will not be televised... It will be downloaded!!!

Cool idea

.
If Ron Paul gets the White House, he would be very smart to appoint Alex to a position in the Federal Government where he could use his firebrand skills. He would certainly make a lot of people tremble, and for good reason.

Napoleon, when he was First Consul, used to chide those who worked for him: "Let's earn our salaries, gentlemen!" he said.

Is Alex Jones funny? News to me! I think I heard him laugh once. Or maybe it was a cough.

Cheers

Thanks to Alex, a front-line patriot.

Alex is worthy of your praise because:

1. He's an advocate of limited central government coupled with + states rights (a la Washington - Jefferson - Jackson - Taft - Goldwater) and + rights of the PEOPLE.

2. He's a sound money, Von Mises economics advocate

3. He encourages his informative [that hold water in the all important bibliography test] documentaries to be copied and distributed without profit - a very unselfish act

4. He promotes the constitution non-stop

5. He reveals what nearly all of the MSM will not

6. His guests are stellar, among the best imaginable

7. He is an honest man, and is quick to call out those who are not

8. He defends the weak - a mark of a real man

9. He pushes self academic discipline

10. He is principled

Yes his testosterone rages of going on and on for 10-15 precious minutes [of an otherwise excellent show] blabbing about smashing fake conservatives' faces into concrete or buying into 100+ mile per gallon carburetor conspiracies are revealing of an imperfect talk show radio host....but he is real, and he will be the first to tell you that he is not perfect, are you? I'm sure not, heck, I wish I was 1/10th of what Alex is.

Zenpiper, you charge Alex of being pompous, self-righteous and given to grand-standing and self-promotion. To those that know him well [and I know a few of those in his 'inner circle'] he has a heart of gold. Yes, he gets a big head [behind the scenes and on air]...and then goes into a self-deprecating mode to counterbalance on and off air. But look, nobody is perfect, and I give Alex a lot of credit for his outstanding achievement in many regards. Now imagine where this Ron Paul rEVOLution campaign would be if there was no Alex Jones. Get over Alex's flaws; he's the best thing on radio, perhaps ever.

Alex

We have no better friend. than Alex Jones.

alex is 1 of my 2 hero's I

alex is 1 of my 2 hero's I would write more but scared of your critsism about grammer because as I read if i cannot have the abilty to write like a collage educated person then I should not write. when the new world order has their way it wont really matter now will it?There is people here just to sabbotage the revolution.are we missing the big picture ?would ron exclude based on dept of education sucess?it would take a lot longer to fix my writing time i dont have!you hollier than thou people should be wih upchuckhuck?!?lets look at the facts the people will never see it,or if they did could care less!rons run in many ways is really to get the message out, no? to those of us ready to go down a path less traveled!our fathers have went down this path before and many knew they were not coming back .i will be honered to give my LIFE to the cause of freedom.reality says blood must spill, let them act like dictators while us sheep sit and get wiped out?I am not for violence but the sheep response on this computer is not the end all these animales have too much to lose!medicine does not taste good does it ?alex jones is a part of the gov that wants to save us from ourselves he has an awful lot of INFOWARS!!!for a regular guy i love him he is my brother in arms and ron paul must think he is on to something?sabbators would like to make you believe different ron loves alex i love them both and the first one that touches one hair on them i will not be able to control myself.i love peace but must protect my family, freedom and country by all means! to the DEATH!!!!!!!!

"i will be honered to give my LIFE to the cause of freedom"

Amen, brother.

I believe that you are referring to my comments about spelling and grammar. They were in no way intended to offend anyone and I apologize if they did. I was not trying to say that anyone didn't have the right to be heard--everyone does. I was only trying to persuade those who do know better, but are merely being lazy, to be more conscious of how they communicate.

I agree with you wholeheartedly about Ron, Alex, and freedom. We are indeed brothers in arms.

Alex is not in a personality contest

Alex's only goal seems to be getting the message out to the largest number of people and finding ways to make the most lasting impression on people's minds. I don't think he sees himself as being in a personality contest. They've tried name calling, and he's unphased. I think his opponents are wringing their hands because their humiliation tactic usually works with most people. He just doesn't give a crap.

They can even occasionally turn people against him that should know better and should have the courage to stand with him. Still he gets the message out - unphased. He's the kind of guy that makes them piss their pants.

Side note: Hilarious behind-the-scenes footage at fox:
http://www.youtube.com/wa...

I don't sign on with all of

I don't sign on with all of Alex's contentions, I believe my brain would explode if I did. But, Thank God that he's got the energy and know-how to research, document and expose all of the chicanery going on around us and the lungs to cry 'foul' when he finds it. Yes, we DO need to wake up...and we will. But I credit him for bringing Ron Paul to my attention, and I'm awake now.

Jumping up and down ballistic

Before the Ron Paul revolution hit I would have pretty much felt alone if it wasn't for Alex Jones and his callers. I have been on to much of what's going on since about 1982. CFR, new world order, Federal reserve etc.

I see people all the time going crazy about some meaningless football game, yelling, screaming, jumping up and down yet when Alex does the same for freedom he gets criticized. I for one love it when he goes ballistic. Yes he's not perfect but who is? Certainly not me.

That's what is great about the Ron Paul revolution, I have a whole lot more friends who I have more in common with because of our meetups. I think I have made life long friends through the revolution.

My kids are 10, 8 and 5. They all know who Alex Jones and Ron Paul are. The other night I sat down to watch the ABC debate and there my kids were, glued to the set!

^ Great analogy, I agree

"Think more of him as a "smoke detector" - sure he goes OFF once in a while without a good reason - but I'd rather have one than NOT."

^ Great analogy, I agree completely with that! Despite any of AJ’s flaws over all he kicks a lot of ass.

Alex takes partial credit

for pushing Dr. Paul into the race and forming an exploratory committee and I'm sure there is some merit to his claims on this. He certainly has done more to promote Paul and his positions than anyone else I can think of.

Paul has appeared in many of his films and been a regular guest for a long time.

As for the drama, Jones realizes that to be a radio personality, you need personality. He doesn't come up short in that category.
