Dr. Paul Leading Romney and Giuliani

According to the Houston Chronicle http://www.chron.com/disp...
Dr. Paul is leading Romney and Guiliani with 17% of the votes. With returns from the first two precincts in New Hampshire already reported, McCain received 10 votes, Huckabee 5, Paul 4, Romney 3 and Giuliani 1. If this is a good indication, Dr. Paul could do far better than predicted.

Remember - when we gain votes for Dr. Paul - SOMEONE LOSES VOTES

A mistake of 31 votes means a change of 62 votes.

PR 100 + 31 = 131
Other 100 - 31 = 69

See what I mean? When one goes up, another has to come down as they have a tally sheet already that matches total vote count.

They can't add 31 to Dr. Paul and then just add 31 to final tally - two mistatkes? accidental???

Great point

That makes a very interesting point. I've been so obsessed with RP's perfect debate performance that I haven't thought of it. I'm SOOOO glad there will be a recount. Can't wait for the results.

Thanks Kurcinich and Howard.

I would like to see if there is vote fraud.
This would set all our minds at ease if there wasn't. Then we will know how we really stand.
If there is vote fraud. People should HANG!
Is this recount going to be before the Mich. Nev. S.C. votes?

There is Honesty at the end of the tunnel my friends!

And think of the

And think of the "advertisment" that would come out of proving the voting system is screwed up

we will win at the end

america is smarter than some think

movin up on the leaders

I'll take anything over 10% as a big win..that means we are growing & will continue to grow.& grow..peace,love,freedom & understanding will win in the end

Remember Andre Marrou? He

Remember Andre Marrou? He was the Libertarian Party Candidate in 1992. He actually won the primary votes in Dixville Notch! A lot of good it did him.

Clinton's second term

Was that Clinton's second term? I remember voting for the libertarian and Clinton got in his second term and made me angry that I voted that way and I was frustrated that the guy had not run in the Republican Party. That is why I was so thrilled that Dr. Paul was running Republican. The moment I saw he was Republican, I jumped on board and started working.

I certainly do...

I saw him on c-span just a few days before the election in 92. Very articulate and intelligent. He's the reason I started getting interested in the LP when Perot fizzled. I also remember the news coverage about Dixville Notch. The MSM was horrified to actually be mentioning a Libertarian candidate on the air. I never heard his name on the news any other time.

Perot's timing was wrong.

The Straus/Howe 4 Generation Cycle thing. US History follows a cycle every 80-85 years. (1688 - 1776 - 1861 - 1941). Perot was definately too early: 1912. There'd be a minor movement, like the Bull Moose / Progressive era, that eventually would sputter and die out, if you were watching the 1990's. Kind of like Perot + Contract with America combined.

Where we are now in the cycle is 1927. (2007 minus 80 years). Still probably too early for a drastic revamping of government, but not by much. Per the cycle, you'd just now be starting to see the leading edge of a major change in direction...

This is why I'm sure, even if Dr. Paul loses, *WE* are heading in the right direction. Buy your gold: 1929 is two years away, and then we've got the REAL New Deal--which looks alot like the Old Deal from 1776 :-)

Perot fizzled

Word has it. . . Perot was forced by the establishment to back off and was paid for by doing so.

Perot certainly didn't need

Perot certainly didn't need money.

Wait

Are you saying Perot was paid to back off?? By whom?

Perot is a billionaire...

How would a bribe affect Perot. Perot is a BILLIONAIRE.

I don't remember him, but

I don't remember him, but I'm sure that #1, He ain't RON PAUL and #2, the time was wrong. You know the saying about an idea whose time has come?

no ron paul for sure

Ross was pro drug war and not exactly a non interventionist....

Bit of a small sample

This is a great bit of positive thinking. We only need something like 15%-17% to place third if the polls have Huckabee at 13%.

For those that don't know Dixville Notch and Hart's Location, two tiny towns up north voted at midnight. I know Dr. Paul got 0 votes in Dixville, but he must have done well in Hart's location.
Dont' feel too bad about getting 0 votes in Dixville Notch, I think it was 4 or 5 people who voted in the Republican race up there.
It's a great tradition, but it is virtually wothless as an indicator of anything. Let's hope that with some effort we pull in that kind of result state wide.

I'm stuck in the office until 1:00, I already voted this morning, and called friends to get them out to the polls. This afternoon I'll be holding a sign and trying to grab those last minute voters. Fully 25% were undecided as of last night and another 25% were only leaning towards a candidate. So if you are reading this in NH. Get off the computer, grab a sign and/or some literature, and get out there for those last minute votes.

We are only 3 points off a third place finish in the polls, so every extra vote we bring in is important. We were so close in Iowa, let's see what we can do in NH.

I'm sorry

But this line cracked me up and basically sums it all up for me:

"Huckabee wooed independent Joe Legay by pouring him coffee from a doughnut-shop container. "I'm independent so I have to be quiet," Legay said when Huckabee asked how he would vote. He said later he voted for Obama."

Now, isn't that the Huckabee we all know and recognize?

The Huckster shows his true colors

Following the NH primary, the Huckster showed his true colors in an interview on television. He was speaking about Romney's second place finish despite being the former governor of a neighboring state and spending huge sums of money on the campaign. He said: "He failed to close the sale."

This is the second time I have heard the Huckster use sales talk in referring to the political campaign. This says clearly to me that he is more interested in selling people on his candidacy than he is in engaging people regarding the issues that they are raising and he is not addressing. To me, he comes across as a slick con man. How about you?

Hucklebee and Romney in South Carolina

I can't wait to see Huckabee try to sell his Smoking Ban in North and South Carolina.

Either the Romney campaign is going to hammer him behind the scenes on it and are publicly saying they have pulled out, or they think they need to win one in Michigan.

I hope the Rp campaign is running a better add campaign in on South Carolina and Michigan than they did in NH! Its the ECONOMY people!
