We MUST continue regardless of the results today and the upcoming weeks!
This is not about Ron Paul. This is about educating people and we CAN do that if ROn Paul stays in for the duration. More people will wake up, and we can succeed in other areas, like running for office, changing peoples mine.
What is wrong with this country is the education and people have been dumbed down. Ron Paul and the movement is changing that.
Do NOT give up even if the results are poor.

what to do next? spread the message!!!
I think the current establishment has wronged us beyond belief and [prior to] groomed us to think it is for our own good...then once people realize the hoax(es) played on them they first feel angry because they were soooooo manipulated and then they get cautious of anything the Establishment wants to do.
The media wants to label us as doubters and conspiracy fruitcakes and we can't allow that to be the message of Ron Paul or his supporters. There is room for doubts when the "persons in power" do such erroneous acts under the veil of secrecy. It's like having a brother who is a lifelong, habitual thief....I would be guarded having him in my house wondering "what's he gonna steal?" If all of us now sound like doubters or conspiracy fruitcakes it is not because we are bored housewives with an imagination that are running wild. It's because we have no faith or belief in the status quo.....because of the things they have done unto us.....it is a reaction to THEIR actions.
NOBODY had to convince me that Ron Paul's message was correct or genuine. All I had to do is listen to him speak. Once I heard his message I said, "Wow, that's how I feel" so the campaign needs to spend more time and energy getting the message out so people, who have never heard the message, can hear it and come to the same revelation as this sane, mother of three, living in suburbia, working as an RN [all this = normalcy] came to!
Ron has a good message but look at the debates from the point of view of a person who has never before heard Ron's message, would look at it: Here is this guy saying things that sound good but all of the other candidates, as well as the host of the debate, are laughing at him...maybe he is some kind of a whack-job. So Ron's campaign needs to get his message out to as many people, let the people hear the message and decide it aligns with their point of view and jump on board.
When I watched the ABC debate I was furious how wrong Rudy was, saying "Read why the attack us". 1) That was Ron's line to begin with which was correcting Rudy [not the other way around] and 2) if Rudy did EVER read why they attack us he would know he is the one barking up the wrong tree. I was furious at this but the average [lazy] voter who knows nothing of previous debates or Ron's message looks at it as: maybe Rudy was right and maybe Rudy was on to something here. And, by the way, all of the other candidates are laughing at this Ron guy.
Ron's message needs to get "out there" so everyday voters can hear the message and realize: Ron is correct.
Nobody has to be convinced of anything...once they hear the message they usually come to the realization that Ron's message is the message that is fair and balanced.
So many RP supporters spend their time defending Ron or attacking the other candidates.....Ron has been around longer than I have been alive so they need to realize that Ron can defend himself and, as for the other candidates, they will fizzle out based on their own actions and inactions. History has told us that History ALWAYS repeats itself so all an undecided voter has to do is look at Huckabee's record on taxes and pardons. Look at McCain's insurance and immigration stand. Once they hear Ron's message [if they ever get a chance to hear it] they will be able to see the difference.
I believe
Hello fellow RP Revolutionaries,
I believe that after watching the votes in Iowa and New Hampshire, a majority of those who did not vote for RP were voting based on gender, race, and denomination. Of course, this is not the reason I've walked ten miles a day, going door to door in the freezing rain to promote Dr. Paul...Goodness, I sound like my grandfather when he told me how he had to walk five miles to school wearing pants made from a potato sack and no shoes or socks...lol..I mean no disrepect grandpa if you're looking down on me from Glory, save a seat next to the master for me....
The point is that it is obvious that many voters do not care about the issues and certainly could not name 3 issues of their own candidates (the ones who voted based on gender or race), and that's why we NEED to educate them. We need to create DVD's about the Federal Reserve and on anything else that has a negative impact on our IMMEDIATE future such as fiscal irresponsibility, the unconstitutional laws passed (Patriot Act, REALID/is it the BEAST MARK?), and so forth. There are many nore things the people need to be educated on. We need some of you video creating gurus (who have nice, quality equipment) to make a DVD with several of the most important topics; i.e. fiscal irresponsibility, fed. reserve, etc.
I mean, at the rate our countries economy is going, unless we can get RP into office, we will all be living in tent cities or FEMA camps and will be forced there by the barrell of a gun. DON'T TASE ME BRO! Anyway, to show you how insane some candidates are you need to look no further than McCain. Didn't he say he would stay in Iraq for hundreds of years. That means, he wants to run our country into the ground. The sad thing is that he is not the only one. And anytime you are speaking to someone and they are saying that their candidate believes in the Constitution and wants to abolish the IRS, remind them that ROn Paul said it first and has said it consistenly for over 30 years.
Anyway, we must also promote the man Ron Paul in a way that brings his faith in to the front, the limelight, if you will. I know some of you are die-hard atheist, agnostics, pagans, etc; but truthfully, the majority of Americans believe in G-d, or say they do. Now before you pagans, atheist, etc; start to fry me up, I believe in individual liberty in that you have a right to believe in and serve G-d. Or not. And for those of you who wear your pants down past your butt crack, please, at least cover the CRACK or remove the little toilet paper balls caught in the crack hair....lol...I've got children that aren't old enough to see that kind of stuff...:-)
Now back to Dr. Paul...I doubt Dr. Paul will display his faith in public very much, if any...Which is one reason I have great respect for him. I do not believe the litmus test given to anyone running for ANY political office should be one of denomination, race, or gender, but one that is based on a strict observance to the US Constitution and the protection of it's citizens from an overly zealous government. If you get too many in office that does not strictly observe the Constitution, like what we have today in our whole political system, those who believe in G-d will soon be hiding their Bibles. So, we who do believe in G-d must do that for him. I don't want to say what we can do or how we can do that because of all the trolls who've been stealing our ideals and passing them on to their unworthy Presidential candidates...lol
Well, that's my $150,000 worth, just take it from what I already owe the government according to David Walker, the Comptroller of the US government...I'll post again later for my wife, my son, and my daughter.
G-d Bless Ron Paul and G-d Bless the Revolution!

Let's look at the big picture
Yes, Dr. Paul (according to the posted results) finished 5th in Iowa and New Hampshire. Now, add all the votes up for the candidates and the picture changes a bit. I believe Dr. Paul moves up to a solid 4th behind Huckabee in 3rd.
This is a long race and we have some work to do. Let's not hang our heads or drag our heels. That is what the others want.
We've not yet BEGUN to fight, campaign, blog, donate, etc!
This is just the START of the race, folks, not anywhere near the completion of the FIRST LAP even!
We must keep going...like the bunny- and Larry Pratt, Alan Stang
We are doing that very thing with our East Texas Event: Jan25-26th -Tyler, Texas www.sincerelysouthern.com... as we reach out to bring in new folks by offering an educational conference with speakers: Larry Pratt, Alan Stang, Michael Badnarik, etc. Constitutional Law and Dr. Ron Paul, this event has been in the planning stages since August- Founder's Dinner with GOA"S Pratt exposing NRA's allegiance to the anti-gun lobby. Pre-season blues...let's not lose sight...:-)
http://politics.nytimes.c...
Take a look at these from the "delegate" side (which is what we need, not simply voters). Huckabee with his win got 17 delegates, McCain now has a "whopping" 9 as the winner last night. Ron still has 2 from Iowa last week!
Now we're looking at Michigan, "NEVADA" (hello!), South Carolina and Florida that even a "decent" placing could get Ron the spread to make up for these "pre-season" primaries.
This is like saying that a football team who lost their first one or two games has no shot to make it into the playoffs! WAY TOO EARLY for that kind of thinking/talk!
We've known all along that we face a fight at the GOP National Convention, as there is NO clear "front-runner." So let's just strap on our helmets and get ready for the REAL game ahead!!!
Sorry for the football analogies if you're not a sports fan...lol :-)
Keep on keeping on...
I think we are doing fairly well considering the massive undertaking of returning our country to the republic it could and should be. Fear is powerful. Why do you think governments use it to control their citizens? Freedom is frightening to most people, they are afraid to be free. I agree with GoldWater, we need to keep educating the people to the incredible benefits of freedom. I think a lot of people have forgotten that freedom has risks but also great rewards.
None are more hoplessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free -goethe

No reason to get angry, Gulianni BARELY got ahead of RP and RP beat Thompson and Hunter, so really he's steady and doing well. Let's just keep up the support!

NH County Results
Below is a link to CNN's county results:
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTI...
IMO, Dr. Paul did better than what the 5th place finish represents. If you look at the results you will see he is consistently coming in 3rd, 4th and 5th, which tells me that the 3rd place finish was closer than first appears. He even received some 2nd place finishes and one 1st place finish (Richmond County). So don't lose faith. We all knew it was going to be an up hill battle.
I'm with ya'
I'm running for precinct chariman, something I never thought I would do. I've sent every penny, encluding everything I've made on my novel FREESWORLD, I could scrape together to Dr. Paul. Until now, I've never sent anything to a polititian.
The first revolution took over six long years. This one might not be over till these young people get out of college and start running for office.
I'll fight with you till victory or we all wind up in FEMA internment camps.
Liberty & prosperity at home and peace abroad,
so sad
I enjoy everything about ron paul and since I started supporting him in may I have read 2 of his books and sent him $100's of dollars. I think tonight was a wake up call and a reality check. I live in Pennsylvania and regardless of what is going on during our primary all the way in april I will still vote for ron paul but I can't bring myself to donate another dollar to a losing campaign.
courage citizen littlespy
Dear Citizen Littlespy,
This is going to be a long hard fight. Our meetup group in El Paso, TX is starting by getting active in the local party. There are over 1400 groups. I'm not sure what they are doing, but we are going to have to fight this from precinct to precinct and house to house.
It's not so much what happens in this battle to get Dr. Paul elected. The objective is to win the war and we need every citizen soldier. We need you. Our country needs you. I'm just concentrating on what I can do day to day.
Thank you,
Will
My take on things.
Here's what I've seen in my area. It's a rural area where most people get their news from TV and not from the internet.
Many on this forum don't seem to realize what it's like to live outside the metro areas: Areas where the only internet option is dial-up....No such thing as DSL in most areas here. A few have somewhat faster connection via satellite but that's not much better; either way those potential voters will not be able to watch all of those cool videos online; no fact-checking, no poll watching, nothing at all.. They will have no clue as to a candidate's positions other than what they hear on MSM. Bottom line: These folks use their computers basically for the occasional email check. They spend NO significant amount of time online. I know large groups of people that don't even own a computer and these people vote regularly.
This is where the real work starts. Blogging and voting in online polls does NOT win these people...hell, it doesn't even get their attention. They don't know we're here!!. Someone must actually TALK to them, face to face, with maybe some literature or a DVD in hand. I've been doing this, but I'm only 1 person. I've registered people to vote. I've signed up as a Pct Capt with the campaign and will work every day at contacting those voters in person. But it will take WAY more active supporters to get this done.
Hats off to those in IA and NH that got out there and did the hard work. I know the results weren't what we wanted, but I think it's a learining opportunity for all of us. Here's the lesson: If we want to win, we will NOT win it with our online activities; The message must be taken out into our precincts in person, door-to-door, one by one.
Good luck to us all.
One Individual at a Time
We've had support from many journalists, including Fox affiliates and many local reporters. Time to make friends. Most of them go to journalism school with a belief in fairplay.
We doing great. People are getting so sick of the other candidates. They're still looking for an alternative. We're still on target, and the trajectory is great. Ron Paul has beat 2 "front-runners" so far.
IMissLiberty
I agree
More letters to the editor (various newspapers/all the states). Signs and issue specific slim jims to everyone you can reach.
The Fight is There as Long as We're Willing to Fight It
Ron Paul has never made mention of withdrawing from this race --- and his supporters (us) shouldn't murmur a word other than praise.
Think about it, WE expected him to do so well, because WE are the energized bunch that loves the man to death. However in comparison to the WORLDS/MSMs expectations, Ron Paul has continued to surpass what low bar they had set.
Which is most likely the thing we HATE about the MSM's is their lack there of consideration for Ron Paul. But, on days like today it is what helps him the most. No one is expecting Ron Paul to drop out, why? Because he just did 1000% better than what MOST people expected him to do.
Most people have heard of McCain, Romney, and now Huckabee. NO ONE has heard of Dr. Paul yet and that means WE still have A LOT of work to do.
If everyone had heard of the Dr. and he had performed like he did last night, I would be disappointed, the fact of the matter is, not many had and he STILL pulled nearly 9-10% and was a strong 5th place finisher, YET AGAIN!
Now we need to suck it up, and campaign 5x harder in S.C. and Florida, and Michigan, and Nevada, and EVERY STATE. We NEED to step it up people, now is not the time to sulk, now is the time to get angry, and get even. GET RON PAULS MESSAGE OUT.
It's almost as if what we
It's almost as if what we needed was some kind of "stealth missile" of a film to pique people's interests in an area most everyone (particularly lefties) cares about - WITHOUT them realizing it was happening...
Something issue-led, issue-driven, which brought them inexorably closer to the inescapable fact that Dr. Paul was really the only logical choice of them all...
Kind of like an EDUCATIONAL REVOLUTION of some kind!
Hmmmm... I wonder what might work towards that end....

Flood them.
Been thinking about the boycott thing. Do it if you want. Or, call in to every radio show, every talk show, even if they are selling cookies..."hello, I love cookies, and I love the message of freedom and peace that Dr. Paul brings!"
"Vote for Paul if you want it all! Goodbye taxes! Goodbye big bro! Hello all my money! Oh! There you are freedom! What?! You have maryjane!?! Oh, wait, everything is fine now...the Doc saved America!"
begin anew
Let us act like we are starting from scratch, that no one has ever heard of Ron Paul's message of Freedom, Peace & Prosperity. This is how we must begin each day anew.
We are in the fight of our lives, fellow r3VOLutionaries, but our MESSAGE is stronger than our adversaries. Our MESSAGE has invigorated us to achieve great things, against stacked odds. But we MUST FIGHT. We MUST NEVER SUBMIT. To secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, we MUST mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.
I fight for Liberty! For as long as the Good Lord gives me breath!
Let's pretend we are blind and deaf when it comes to the MSN
And getting people to change future "voters" minds and those actors who have not yet made up their minds.
What is the number one thing everybody says on TV? Don't want to waste ther.. It's and "L" word..

Don't blame the MSM, use the MSM
On January 9th, 2008 menoname says:
Some people are discouraged about the results tonight and thats fine because its great to have big goal for RP, but don't give up. It's time to be more committed than ever. Don't let the MSM discourage you. Who cares what they say. It's not them you have to convince, its the voters. One way to convince them is to make sure they see alot of RP. How do you do that? Flood RP commercials on them. How do the grassroots RP suporters do that? Donate to operationbroadcastfreedom.com . Use the MSM at the grassroots level.
RP 2008
it was a democratic state to begin with
Instead of getting discouraged, Look at the numbers
http://edition.cnn.com/EL...
New Hampshire appears to be a DEMOCRATIC state more than anything so realize that Ron Paul is still a contender.
Everybody wants to paint NH as an Independent or Republican state and it is NOT....just look at the number of Democratic votes cast versus Republican.
Perhaps the campaign didn't spend the entire fortune in NH but that doesn't mean his advisers failed him or us. Ron Paul's campaign knows where to spend the time and money.
McCain may have won NH but he is BROKE...in fact he is working off of borrowed money. THAT'S RIGHT. He took out a huge loan just to "work" NH. He will run out of funds and fade away fast as will Huckster and Ghouliani.
HANG IN THERE PEOPLE THIS IS JUST ROUND TWO....it means nothing because we have the money and the staying power to carry on and the message will be heard by more voters once the number of candidates gets dwindled down! It happens the same way every four years....an early loss means nothing.
While I might agree with
While I might agree with much of your commentary, I know RP needs to make a splash somewhere and soon. He needs to quit cowering before the camera when he's in a debate situation, name names of other politicians that have violated their oaths when violating the Constitution and our rights. Point out that there isn't a conservative amongst the Republican Candidates and then demonstrate their voting records. Point out that both parties are supporting more war for oil ... high priced oil !
This country is in real bad shape and if RP wishes to continue receiving the grass roots financial support he's been getting he needs to get something DONE, NOW !
"It's the Constitution Stupid"
He really does need to be more aggressive
I know it's probably not his nature to be so, but he has to come out and do battle.
One critical issue facing this country is Social Security/Medicare. RP needs to explain that SS will go insolvent in 2017 if nothing is done, then explain howHE would fix the system, and while he's at it explain how the TRILLION dollars we've spent in Iraq could have been spent at home shoring it up, and how under his administration that money WILL stay at home.
Sometimes being a gentleman isn't what's needed. He needs to morph into Winston Churchill, and FAST.
When in the debate Thompson
When in the debate Thompson laughed at him about how bringing the troops home will save trillions of dollers. and how if we stop printing money out of thin air would help the economy. Ron should have told him Fred you can laugh at me all you want but once the economy crashes lets see who will have the last laugh. and then proceed to tell the American people iam an economist and I have studied economics and I know how the montary system works. I know I can get us out of this mess but you have to put your fears aside and belive this can be so. needs to talk to the people
A new strategy to get the message out without the MSM
Tonight, after the New Hampshire primary, I am thoroughly horrified by the ignorance of the majority of the American people. How could that many people vote for McCain after what he said? 100 years in Iraq? I am totally disgusted. If the American people knew Ron Paul's platform, the essential restoration of the Constitution from its current status as "just a god damned piece of paper," and his plan to secure peace, prosperity, and freedom, I do not believe this could happen. Do all these people, those who voted for McCain and the other pro-war candidates, really want their children, grand children, great grand children, etc. being drafted and killed or mutilated in Iraq and elsewhere? We will eventually (probably very soon) have the draft, because not many will volunteer for this murderous mission. Going to war to kill and die for corporate profit? This is a disgrace.
Are people really this stupid, or is it the fault of the corporate-controlled media for ignoring and ridiculing Dr. Paul and his message, as well as hyping the pro-war candidates and this phony "war on terror"? What can we do to get Ron Paul's message of peace, prosperity and freedom out to the ignorant masses? I feel like I'm living in Orwell's 1984 where “war is peace, freedom is slavery and ignorance is strength.” Black is white, up is down, and we are literally teetering on the brink of a fascist police state in America, if we are not already there.
I was listening to a right-wing radio talk show tonight to hear the results of the primary, as I was in my car, and the host of the show said that "we had to take out Saddam Hussein because he had committed genocide by killing over a million of his own people." Well guess what? Now we have killed over a million of them too! I guess it's not called "genocide" when it's the good old USA out there "spreading freedom and democracy."
Meanwhile, we have obviously lost our freedom and democracy (actually, our republic) here in America. We are no longer a nation of laws, where each individual has inalienable rights, endowed upon him by the Creator. We are now a nation ruled by ruthless thugs who will do anything to get what they want, which is the New World Order, global fascist dictatorship, where they rule and the rest of us, those who survive anyway, are their slaves. We know that one of their main goals is massive depopulation of the planet. They have often stated in their own writings that they wish to kill the vast majority (80-90%) of the people. This is no secret to anyone who has done his or her homework. The question is, how can we stop them?
Ron Paul is the only one who is brave enough to tell us what we need to hear, and brilliant enough to know what we must do to reverse the direction of America (AKA, the Titanic). While the other candidates are, at best, rearranging the deck chairs, Dr. Paul actually wants to avoid the iceberg. I wish there was a way to bypass the corporate media and make everyone aware that we do have one choice for president that will give us the real change we so desperately need. We have just this one last chance to avoid the disastrous future we are facing. Again I will quote Orwell’s 1984 (it’s hard to avoid at this point, since it is our reality). "If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stomping on a human face -- forever."
We must find a way to get Dr. Paul’s message of peace, freedom and prosperity out to all Americans. It is our only hope.
IS ANYONE LISTENING TO US? HELLO? WAKE UP!
Barry Goldwater, Ron Paul Supporters, Ron Paul, are you reading any of your blogs here?
Barry - if you read this memo, please convey all the feedback back to Ron and the people in charge. There is seriously something wrong with this Campaign Committee. There needs to be more TV ads, good ones, like the Lego TV ad as an example. Everyone is doing most of the work, the grassroots for on the feet door knocking, and the money is pouring in, but what is it being spent on? How is it being spent? Who's spending it? On what? We need the KEY PEOPLE to comeback to the grassroots - and that's these blog - for some REALITY CHECK. Please Barry, Ron, anyone who has any influence in getting in contact with people are are overseeing this, but there is something wrong here besides the voting system!
WAKE UP RON PAUL CAMPAIGN COMIITTEE!! WE NEED SOMEONE WHO IS TOP NOTCH, A VETERAN AT THIS KIND OF STUFF, AND RON NEEDS COACHING!!! WE CAN'T WIN THIS ELECTION WITHOUT TAKING FULL ADVANTAGE OF THE TV AND THE PRIMARY MEDIUM TO GET RP'S MESSAGE OUT!!!!
IS ANYONE LISTENING? THIS IS RIDICULOUS! SOMEONE PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ THIS AND PASS ON THE INFO AND HAVE A CLOSED-DOOR ROUND TABLE STRATEGY DISCUSSION ON HOW TO GET BACK ON TRACK! I STILL BELIEVE WE CAN CHANGE THINGS, BUT FIRST THE CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE/MANAGER/PR/ADVERTISING, ETC NEEDS TO ACKNOWLEDGE WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS NOT WORKING AND IT'S NOT ENOUGH!!!!
RP NEEDS HELP HERE! WE ARE OUT HERE SUPPORTING RP BECAUSE WE WANT HIM TO WIN. LET'S NOT KID OURSELVES AND BE IN DENIAL!!
WAKE UP RP STAFF!!!

The title is Ron Paul-loser
The article challenges RP supporters to comment - this is a must read.
Here is what I just posted: (It is not up yet - needs to be moderated first I guess.)
He lost badly in New Hampshire because most of the voters there still support the war in Iraq.
Ron Paul's reduced government message also discourages many who think if he's elected, they will lose their jobs due to downsizing or elimination.
Traditional voters want a feel good platform with a charismatic personality to deliver it.
Ron Paul supporters should spend more face time with undecideds. It's called talking - not blogging. Zealous supporters at some RP rallies have hurt the campaign by their aggressiveness. They soon get labeled as nutjobs, etc.
Ron Paul needs to groom his supporters - set the agenda, rules of conduct, etc. It can't be a free-for-all because that is apparently not working.
His message is compelling but he needs to work on its delivery. And time is running out

Ron Paul 2008
Have a little respect
I have yet to meet Dr Paul personally, and I do not worship tha man as some do, but I have met and spoken with Jeff Greenspan and others of the official campaign and I can tell you: They are busting their asses! How do you think Dr Paul has stayed so squeeky clean throughout this campaign?
Everything was going smoothly in the revolution until our golden child NH fell from grace, and now suddenly everyone is doing a half ass job? What have you done yourself? I've been to sign making rallies, straw polls, typed several hundred thousand keystrokes, stood in the snow holding signs, and screamed through a megaphone till my throat was hoarse, and I still feel as though I've been a lazy freeloader. Why? Because I've seen what is going on behind the scenes.
Props to all the hard work put in by each and every one you..."official" or "Unofficial".

I am in New Hampshire and I
I am in New Hampshire and I am somewhat disappointed at the results but it just means we need to be more vigilant and not lose our focus.
I believe in the Constitution. I believe in Liberty. I believe in Ron Paul.
Bottom line is if Ron Paul doesn't get the GOP nomination we still go in to the voting booth in November and write in his name.
God Bless Ron Paul!
"The moral and constitutional obligations of our representatives in Washington are to protect our liberty, not coddle the world, precipitating no-win wars, while bringing bankruptcy and economic turmoil to our people." ~Ron Paul
Write in vote will not be counted in most states...
...unless the candidate registers as a write-in candidate. This is my understanding. Write-in campaign must be planned and orchestrated. It is not a one person action.
I concur

Live Free or Die - Not in New Hampshire Anymore
I thought New Hampshire's motto was "Live Free or Die", maybe they need to update it to "I'm Scared that I Will Die", since they all voted for the fascist McNeocain. Hell, even the cross dressing 911 cousin lover Giuliani did pretty good there, New Hamphire please change your motto to match your actions. Our forefathers are turning in their graves tonight!
Do blame everyone--some of
Do blame everyone--some of us have exhausted a lot of time and money to help get the message out. A lot of liberal democrats have moved here because they escaped Taxachusetts but the problem is they didn't really critically think why their taxes were so high with all the regulations and entitlement programs in the Common Wealth of Taxachusetts.
Einstein defined insanity as---doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Some people just never get it, unfortunately.
"The moral and constitutional obligations of our representatives in Washington are to protect our liberty, not coddle the world, precipitating no-win wars, while bringing bankruptcy and economic turmoil to our people." ~Ron Paul
I'm not goin' anywhere
This is just the first hit and all it's doing is preparing us for the battle ahead.
Remember, Barry Goldwater was not even a blip on the radar when he lost New Hampshire. He went on to win the nomination.
We need to improve our public image and come across as the truly level-headed ones. Not a mob of wild-eyed, unruly maniacs (not that Hannity didn't have that coming)
Door to door is a great way to get people turned on to Paul's message of Freedom, Prosperity and Peace. Stay positive, don't argue or condescend, listen to what people are worried about and do your best to answer their questions. I've won over a lot of complete strangers this way.
You are absolutey right!
I walked a big chunk of my precinct today handing out slim jim flyers on Ron Paul and could not beleive how receptive everyone was to me. I live in a 80% Democratic neighborhood in San Diego. I had one neighbor actually change her affilliation to Republican to vote for Ron Paul, she said she saw him for the first time on Leno and loves him. She is 57 years old and has always been a Democrat her whole life. This is amazing what results can be obtained by just handing out information.
You got it!
I'm in Los Angeles in a very liberal area. It's been a really great experience talking to people and seeing them go from skeptical yet curious, to being enthusiastic about Ron Paul. The pro-life thing I like to get out of the way early on by showing how he is consistently pro-life on all issues, and it doesn't really matter anyway because of his proven record of decentralized government. Let the states decide.
Point being, almost NOBODY knows even who is is here. And most of them are fed up with the Dems and can't stand the Neo-Con arm of the Republicans. When I point out that Paul is a bigger threat to the pro-war, anti-freedom right than any of their Dems, they get a little glint in their eye. We need to win these people over and get more boots on the ground. The more voters we have behind us, the harder it will be for them to massage the polls.
Keep up the door to door and support any good local newspaper ads!

Barry Goldwater won the nomination after losing New Hampshire and having far less supporters in NH than we do now. This is far from over, but we need to mobilize now. Super Tuesday is coming hard and fast and every state in between counts.
It's just beginning
not ending
I missed this post, but I'm thinking exactly the same thing ...
I want to kick some ideas around for better attack plans.
Ron's speech on CNN sounded almost like he was ready to retire, but if this doesn't happen, we've got a lot of fighting to do, and we may do it anyway if there's another viable candidate that the Ron Paul revolution can be shifted over to, even partially intact...
So I just slapped this site together, and hope I'm not alone on some of these ideas ... Here's the site (sorry about the foul language, I was irritated when I slapped it together).

If I am alone, oh well, I gave it a shot.
The Grassroots Fire Back...
Here is an idea...
National Campaign Week sets the stage for our counter offensive against the establishment!
January 15th (traditional MLK day).
January 16th (1991 marks the beginning of the first gulf war and the beginning of unnecessary entanglements in Iraq that demand a change in foreign policy and National Religious Freedom Day)
January 17th (Ben Franklin's Birthday)
January 18th MLK Day first celebrated in all 50 states.
January 19th 1920 U.S Senate votes against joining the League of Nations.
January 20th Presidential Inauguration Day
January 21st Free at last! MLK Day!
We need to organize the following in this week and execute with prejudice:
1)Support Presence (holding signs, large rallies, ect..)
2)Canvasing
3)Voter registration
4)Phone Banking
5)Grassroots organizing and unification
6)Massive Media assault (letters to the editors)
This is our chance for a counter-offensive to hit them back, destroy the establishments hope for their candidates and re-establish our determination to win this or to do down in flames so to speak.
Again, I got this idea from http://www.dailypaul.com/...
I don't know about the campaign management issue
Not having been in Iowa or NH to see what has been done, I can't even guess if the campaign was well run or not. Generally campaign's are not exactly the most efficient operations under the best of circumstances; these organizations spring up without much planning and have learning curves that are generally longer than the campaign itself.
It looks like Dr. Paul is only getting about 3% of the total combined Republican/Democratic voters which is somewhere about what you would expect beyond the third standard deviation for a normal distribution. In other words he is only being vote for by those at the extreme, consistent with what the Libertarian Party itself experiences. What this tells you is that the average voter is not interested in liberty, even if they give lip service to it.
There are countless people out there who want the nanny state because it brings them what they perceive as goodies for nothing (or at the expense of someone else). Also you must recognize that the human mind is ruled by gang mentality, just like the street gangs. We rally around leaders whenever we perceive the gang to be under attack, so any cry of threat by politicians gets peaceful people viewed as traitors. Ron Paul's message of nonintervention and no more nanny state is only received positively by the few with the capability to understand the benefits of freedom and peace. We are running counter to years of indoctrination when we try to educate. We are dealing with average minds which perhaps do not have the capability to reason well.
From the first of this campaign (which I have supported), I have told my wife that it is probably good that Ron Paul will only stir the pot, but will not likely win. Whoever the next president is will be a hated person as the economic future unfolds, so I would not like a freedom loving man like Dr. Paul to take the blame, and while he as president might be able to soften the blow, there is really nothing significant that will prevent the financial collapse that is in progress. All bubbles eventually contract, even if hyperinflation happens first; Germany in the 1930's after taking hyperinflation to an extreme had a deflation; it is always just a matter of how big the bubbles can be pushed first before it can no longer be kept inflated. When asset values fall, the loans against which they are pledged then become worthless which takes down the financial institutions. Look at the huge losses being reported by most of the major banks, stock brokers and other financial institutions, and we are just at the beginning of this economic contraction.
Add to this the huge oil depletion problem which might reduce the amount of oil imported into the USA from 60% of what we use now down to almost nothing by 2020 and you can get the picture that Ron Paul is just the opening act in social conflict that will very likely put an end to the federal government, similar to what happened to the USSR. The way I look at it, we will be lucky if half of us do not starve to death, much less being able to keep the federal government functioning.
Now don't you feel better that the US public is not ready to elect Dr. Paul and the beauty of life that he represents.
I am in for the duration!
Come on folks, lets kick it up a notch.
Do you ever wonder how many people already are in the Revolution?
Brainstorm:
How about we have everyone voting for Ron Paul donate one dollar each on the same day. Count the number of donations and I think we will be surprised how many Americans are ready for the fight! Besides, who can't give a dollar, right?
Option 1: We could do this with a state (NH?) and see how many people really voted for Ron Paul . . . quick, easy comparison.
Option 2: We could do this weekly and see how many are joining the Revolution each week - great motivator!
I think the time has come that we beat them at their own game, don't you?

Of course, we will keep going!
My feeling is that a genuine RP follower has pretty much burned all bridges. Otherwise they were just hoping; and hoping counts for nothing when life, liberty and freedom are at stake.
Now coming to tactical things I sincerely feel that Hillary winning is a good thing for RP. Had Obama won today from Dem side it would have been a very difficult situation convincing the folks who are on Obama side now. Of course, I am talking about folks who are Obama fans but like RP's message.
Having said all that, I think it is time RP will change something going forward to get more votes. I get the feeling that he is planning to go all the way till November even if not offered the GOP nomination. Thats why he is not overextending on any particular state.
If Fred drops out after SC and Giuliani after FL, the field will pretty much be Romney, McCain, Huckabee and RP. Not sure when Huck will fall out.
So, the primary question now is, can RP win FL and CA? If he wins both, then he can win this presidency. Other possibilities are SC, NV and TX. I sincerely pray and think that he will win at least one of that.

Most of my activity around
Most of my activity around here is merely to lurk and learn. When I first started hanging around here this place was a never ending source of enlightenment. Many an intelligent thread I would read. Something has happened around here though. Either this forum has been invaded by 1/4 wits or it has been hijacked by something a little more insidious. Dr Paul has a great message and win lose or draw the message is out. I am sick of the baby's around here knee jerking, crying, and sniveling. When I get home from my meetup tomorrow night I am going to read a book.

Vote Ron Paul for President
2008
This is an idea for a commercial. I'm a visual person so many of the ads put out by all of the candidates seem boring and too alike. Everyone seems to have the same message.
Have a pad locked cage with the constitution inside. On top of the cage have a big screen TV with media blackout written across it, maybe a real fox sitting on top. Have tons of $ bags for the trillions of dollars of debt we're in. (End the FED). Need to think of symbols for Big Government, the Patriot Act, Lies (weapons of mass destruction), vote fraud, Iraq War, etc.
Ron Paul's message is different than all the other candidates. I think we need more unique commercials that will help Americans (especially younger voters) get off the couch and google Ron Paul and find out the difference for themselves
NOOOO we have to keep GOING
NO We have to keep going! We are gaining momentum. I do not believe Ron Paul is going to get the GOP nomination, but we have a window! Besides, the Republican Party is crippled right now by the last horrid 8 years. It is a sinking ship. Everything is about timing. People are mad at the Republican Party, the democrats will win this one. We have to give people time to become disgusted with the democrats, and they will...THEN it will be TIME. The only way is to get through super tuesday and then break away from the GOP. We will continue along the way as independents to collect more and more supporters. We will continue to change minds and hearts. MANY more will join the RON PAUL REVOLUTION! This will build a fantastic foundation for the next run! We will keep our groups together and grow..and work to elect RON PAUL DISCIPLES locally! We will establish RON PAUL training programs! This country didn't get messed up overnight and it won't get fixed over night either. It's a START and we must not waste this opportunity to gain support for the next go round! It's only 5 years down the road! As for "spoilers", the REPUBLICANS who refuse to support RON PAUL, an honest man, are the spoilers. The GOP is sabatoging itself! I am optimistic!!! Remain vigilant
Let me tell you one great thing that happened tonight: Mike got 3'rd. Let the top 3 keep alternating wins while Rudy fizzles out and Paul remains in the background waiting take front and center as they all destroy each other with negative attack ads. Fred cant be in much longer with no money and two distant finishes.
I firmly believe that the campaign knows these first few states have only meaning here and now, but little beyond. February is where its at, lets focus there.
Put on your favorite Rage Against The Machine album, it will make you feel better. I wonder if the band could get behind Paul in any way...?
It's about the message. As
It's about the message. As long as Dr. Paul stays in the race and commands 10 percent of voters, he will get some attention. We need to reach as many people as possible with this message of freedom.
Before the campaign even begun, I felt the message was being delivered four years before Americans would truly be ready for significant change, not just empty promises from the establishment. I've been encouraged that so many have come but kind of disappointed it seems like the momentum won't build beyond the 10 percent window.
But there are a couple of things. Unless you receive cable tv and watch cable news, the good doctor has gotten very little attention compared to the other candidates. Also, people are under the misguided notion of "making their vote count" and look upon the good doctor as not doing that because he doesn't get all the headlines. No matter who wins this election, with the exception of Dr. Paul, things are going to continue and get worse and worse. Eventually people are going to have to make their vote count for survival and that's the time for the good doctor.
