My suggestion, the
My suggestion, the typography and effects on "Restore the Republic" are absolutely terrible (from a designers perspective).
Never use a font that everyone has on their computer. Don't use the standard tracking & kerning (character spacing techniques).
The typeface used has way too small of counters (the open areas inside characters). Also because its a true "grotesque" typeface, the line widths are uniform. This loses visual interest.
If it were pages of text it would be fine, but this is something we need to catch the attention of people with.
Good, but...
Good effort, great work, but in all fairness, the voiceover isn't very good, and the Constitution isn't 231 years old. Remember, we had the Articles of Confederation for a while first. With a revision of the script and a better voiceover, it's fantastic, and I hope to see it air as often as possible.
Missing Music
Good, but not overly exciting. The original "Ron Paul People" with the John Lennon song in it was much more inspiring. How many movies do you think you'd like if they were musicless? That video, which is similar to this, is the best video and potential commercial for Ron that was made in this entire campaign....BAR NONE! And no, I didn't make it or know the person that did. Compare it on youtube and know you'll agree.
Nothing brings feeling to a picture as music does....especially a fitting song and one that brings back good old memories in that special part of the brain.

Problem is usually "licensing"
Getting permission to use an original artist piece is usually the hold-up or barrier to John L or anyone else's song. Same with soooooooooo many of those YouTube clips. They are GREAT, but totally unuseable for mass broadcast or DVD replication due to Intellectual Property Rights issues.
I work for a CD/DVD manufacturer and we deal with this all the time, however it is to protect the true IPR owner, so I can't say this is "unfortunate." I had one poor guy that wanted to use an E-Television promo that was done IN HIS NIGHTCLUB, but because of that E-TV logo on the bottom of the screen, we couldn't do anything until he received IPR waiver from "E" which took about 4-5 months. He was giving the DVD out free as a promo for his club, but still the proper channels had to be used and proper permissions obtained.
Won't chime in on the graphics issues, as that is NOT my area of expertise...lol.
Jeffndallas on songs
Thanks for your info. Jeff. You have some of the better posts that I have seen on this site and is appreciated. I thought that may be a copyright problem, but glad you confirmed. It's such a good video that it's worth persuing by the campaign. Have you seen the video and would you agree?
How do we get Yoko, or whoever makes those decisions, to give them permission or buy the opportunity? Any ideas?
Yoko is a free thinker, so who knows, maybe she would like Ron Paul and do us all a favor.
By the way, does the same apply for the remake of the New York, New York song, or not affect it as it's a different artist with different verbiage?
In thinking about this, sure would be nice if Ron had a "suggestion box" for promotions on his website as is a new era of campaigning and we have some very talented people. I know nobody that actually talks to the official campaign headquarters to give them ideas. They are doing a good job in some areas, but sure could use help in others.
Thanks

High marks

This is simple and good. The only thing I would change is that the Constitution is not under attack, it is being dismantled.
Still, it's much better than most of the others.
