Elephant in the room

First let me say that I am a major RP supporter. I am the organizer of the Reading, PA meetup group and have dedicated a lot of time and money to this campaign. For a while now I've been thinking that RP will go down in history with the likes of MLK jr. He is starting the freedom movement that will continue to grow even after him.

But I am majorly concerned with these newsletters. I read them, and I feel that they are bad. Some of the quotes from the article are taken out of context, but still... I think this is really bad. How can stuff like this be in a newsletter with his name in it for a number of years. He says that he didn't edit it or write it. But he had to get a copy of each one mailed to him when they went to everyone else. It should've stopped immediately, but it didn't. It didn't just happen once. I just don't see a defense to these. It doesn't matter if he starts to gain major traction in this campaign. If he does, these letters will hit the MSM and it will be over.

I keep hearing "it's a smear, hit job", but I don't think that it is. The article just pulls together decades of newsletters in RP's name. It's not like they wrote it w/o any facts. They just say "hey, here are his newsletters, read them".

Please tell me that I am majorly overreacting, but I do not think that I am.
