Northern Michigan Voters Fair & Straw Poll

We need folks to help talk to voters about Ron Paul. If you're available Saturday, January 12, anytime between 9 am and 9 pm, please stop by.
Emmet County Fairgrounds Community Center, in Petoskey. Event number is 231-758-4183. All people, all parties, all candidates invited.

Arabs for RP in MI
A friend called me to say he caught a piece on the news (I think CNN, but not positive) about the Arab/Muslim community in MI. The people interviewed said they were voting Paul or Kucinich, because they were the only ones who seemed to care about the Arab communities. I think my friend said there's something like 340,000 living in MI. How can we let them know that a Dem vote won't get any delegates?

Can you imagine if all Arabs come out and vote for Ron Paul across the nation on Primary?
Actions like this will get us 25% in Michigan!

Where *should* Paul show up?
He should show up where he thinks he can do the most good. Is it better to come in fourth in Michigan or second in Nevada?
There are two main drags now on our ability and willingness to produce another big fundraising surge. The first is the fact that the vote results so far have not excited us. We need a gold or silver for encouragement, otherwise the money tree will shrivel up and die. Whether the campaign sees it this way is unknown.

Why doesn't he go to these events
Why does the list of campaign events on the website list nothing but you go to McCains and it has stuff up till the end of the month.
What am I giving money too a bunch of people with their heads up their ass? Why doesn't this man campaign and meet people? What the hell is going on?

Don't Forget that Ron Paul is ALSO a Congressman
and has been trying to carry on his regular Congressional schedule as much as possible. But I agree to a point, it does seem that the National Campaign should have him scheduled to meet and greet as many people as possible, but I think the South Carolina Primary is VERY iimportant to his viability and he MUST perform well in their primary. These primaries are VERY tough on the candidates because they are all so close together.
I live in FL and there are literally HUNDREDS of RP meetup groups here in the state; yet MSM continues to report that Guiliani (FL is a MUST win for him, but I don't see any of his supporters here) and McCain are ahead in FL, also Huckabee is also favored heavily here, but I just don't see it yet. The ONLY signs I've seen are RP signs, sign waving, any publicy at all. I did see one Guiliani commercial the other day and it made me ILL. All this man can do is continue to wave the TERROR flag and it's WAY past OLD!
I don't think that McCain/Stay in Iraq another 100 years has the support here either. Of course, MSM will NOT mention any support here in FL for RP and our closed primary (only registered Republicans can vote) is on January 29th and it is a BIG state with a lot of delegates.
Keep the faith, keep doing what you're doing to win over as many supporters as possible and we WILL prevail, think POSITIVE, even if you don't feel that way at times!

I used to live in Tampa for years! Go to ALL retirement communities with buttons and large print stuff. Talk about legacy of peace, and getting children out of war. Offer to take people to polls. Go to that Senior Mobile Home park on 19 in Clearwater by the mall..they have no yards and ALL residences near each other..active seniors live there and always enjoy talking..these people would love the attention and the feeling that their votes are important.

It may prove helpful to get a mailing list of the meetup members and their precincts if we can. Those names should be as good as vote pledges in their respective precincts. We need to organize to show up to vote when the polls open and then conduct exit polls to have some reasonable idea as to how the vote totals should be once reported. NH was a disgrace because the only time we could prove the vote stealing was when there were no votes for Paul and the people who voted noticed the "errors" in the totals online. I'd like to compare the total number of meetup members with the vote totals. We'll never know how many votes were shaved from his totals from the precincts that actually reported SOME votes for Paul. I will try to do the same thing here in Illinois. The stakes are higher in the upcoming states. Good luck everyone, on with the fight!
