The big picture....why WE and RP need to hang on.....

The Iowa Caucas and NH primary are more hype than anything. They really don't mean much delegate wise, maybe just for publicity and media coverage.

The republican field is made up of some very weak candidates.

Seriously, think about this for a minute.....these guys are a bunch of bozos.....DOES ANYONE HERE SEE THESE MEN HAVING GREAT STATURE?

-Julie-annie is almost out of money, he can't pay staffers. he has crossed dressed here in NY during parades, has had affairs, and ruled with an iron fist.
-Thompson lacks character, has little support and will be out of the race after SC
- Romney will win Michigan (he was born there), but nothing else after that. No offense to anyone, but America is not going to elect a Mormon.
- I still do not understand how anyone voted or will vote for McCain...he sponsered an amnesty bill, has no idea about fiscal policies, and is a war monger.
- And Huckleberry, is America really ready to have a Baptist Minister as president?
.
.
I do not believe that RP cannot beat these hacks......He is the only one that makes any sense.
.
.
We need to hang on to at least super Tuesday. If we do not have a chance at the nomination, I hope RP runs as an independent. I actually think he has a better shot as an indy anyway.
.
.
He only needs NY, CA, FL, OH, TX, NC, MI, GA, IL, PA, NJ to win the presidency......as a republican or Indy

why not just plan a write in?

why not just campaign for free on his behalf, if everyone will actually go door to door, make signs, phone calls, and save the RP campaign some money (especially if he doesn't do great super tuesday) and forget running as an independant. Just write him in.

Write-In Won't Make IT

A write-in candidate is only the popular vote. The key is delegates - Ron Paul has to acquire the proper number of delegates to win because we have a representative form of government - electoral college. Candidates in the past receive more popular votes and still weren't elected into office.

A popular vote is a democracy.
A representative vote is a republic.

If you really want to help - become a delegate - see www.ronpaul2008.com

and become a precinct captain.

It could change...

but a troubling response came out of some of the exit polls in NH. The question was asked, what was the deciding factor in your choosing the candidate you voted for, was it the issues or was it the personality of the candidate, and overwhelmingly the response given was that it was the personality of the candidate.

The average voter is not very smart.

I'm fast losing hope that

I'm fast losing hope that there are enough smart Americans in those or any states to carry this through...you said it yourself - how could ANYONE vote for those loons? They don't even present themselves well on national debates. Yet they get votes. Incredible. Inncredibly stupid voters.

I feel the same way

Started an application for New Zealand citizenship.....does anyone have any idea how difficult it is to get into that country? The US should have these rules.

Wow...I don't know what I'll

Wow...I don't know what I'll do...a noose sounds inviting...

I wish Ron Paul would sum them up as...

2 very religious & liberal Governors pretending to be Conservatives

1 liberal city mayor pretending to be tough on 9/11, yet failed to have his city police and firefighters prepared with good radios.

1 Hollywood Actor who lobbied Bill Clinton to misuse our Military to reinstall a Haitian dictator.

1 Vietnam vet who loves invading countries to get communist or terrorists, it does not matter how long and how much to him, nevertheless local nationalists will defeat him every time.

and a partridge

in a pear tree

Weak field it is indeed

that's probably why they're trying so desperately to shush Ron Paul, but I did notice he came out with a little more fire last night, and I think he's making some new friends. I know he has the fortitude to hang tought, I just wish his campaign staff would do more. They need to get daily press releases out, and they need to seek out spokespersons for Ron. They're leaving it ALL up to Ron. They don't even come to his rescue when these media creeps snicker at him, and make childish faces behind him. Let alone question the votes in New Hampshire. I'm wondering just what they are doing..........counting all the money?

And their immature...

actions in the past debates has re-enforced my resolve to never even consider casting a vote for any of the sorry lot, if the worst case scenario occurs.

Running as an Indy

As RP has said himself it is almost impossible. If you don't understand why look at the Ralph Nader video on youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/wa...

Running as an Indy would take a true revolution to win. We are better off focusing on winning the republican primary.

Perot did well as an Indy

why not RP?

For the Long Haul

I don't know why this is even up for discussion. He's in it for the long haul. His trajectory is going in the right direction. Donations are UP today.

IMissLiberty

The system makes it very difficult to run as an independent.

Dr. Paul keeps pointing out that he is the only true conservative on the stage, and has said there is 99.9% no chance of him running as an independent. Some states have rules that say if you have been on a ballot as a Rep. or Dem. that you are not allowed to run as an independent.

He only needs to win

NY, CA, FL, OH, TX, NC, MI, GA, IL, PA, NJ to win the presidency......

I hope you are right

When "we" elected bush a second time, I lost all faith in our ability to reason.

movin on.......

movin on.......

bump

We are in it for the long haul! Go Ron!

Draft?

When's he gonna pull this big gun out and fire it?
