Front Page of Digg - Ron Paul's answer cut from Fox re-air

Digg it up!

It's already made the list of "Top in all Topics". This is something everyone needs to know. Fox is so scared of Ron Paul's message; this is what they are resorting to now.

Fox has cut from the debate re-air, Ron Paul's answer to the rediculously asked question of "do you have electability?", in which Dr. Paul had the the most fantastic answer of the night.

    Update
Fox has forced You Tube to remove the video. Go Here for the new location to this video.

Also, a new digg article titled "Watch this quick before News Corp Fox News yanks it" has made the digg top 10. Digg it up!

Digg censoring Ron Paul

How can i download the video so I can burn it on to DVD

please help

Use Real Player and then use Super

There are many programs and websites that let you download video from the internet. The one thing they usually all have in common is the file is saved as an .flv file (flash).

I like the latest free version of RealPlayer. Anytime there is video or audio on the web it has a non-intrusive dialog box on the webpage you can click to download the video.

Super (http://www.erightsoft.net...) is a freeware converter that lets you convert any format to any format, and it has no spyware! I usually convert my files to .mp4 or .avi so I can use my video editing software (Sony Vegas 8 the $120 version) to create movies. Sony Vegas 8 also comes with a free DVD builder. I create DVDs that way to distribute the material to friends

Sometimes I don't even use SonyVegas. I just download the clips, convert them to .avi, and drop them in the DVD builder and burn dvds. I have some nice Ron Paul backgrounds I found on the web..

I hope that helps.

EDIT: To make DVDs you need a DVD authoring program. I am partial to the one that comes with SonyVegas because I am familliar with it, however I have no experience with other programs so I can't compare its' value.

There are three versions of Sony Vegas, and I think they all come with DVD builder 4.0. There is a $90 home version, a $120 home version, and the $600 professional version. I would go with the cheapest. I use Platinum, the $120 dollar version and love it for editing home movies (prices from memory--I could be off!).

The only other editing software I have experience with is Pinnacle. I found it way too unstable for my taste.

yes, it IS true

it was removed from the 2nd rebroadcast. But then after it everyone saw it on youtube, fox kept the clip in subsequent airings.

they knew people were watching them and it would look really bad if they kept it out again.

Not True

I watched the replay last night on Fox and the whole thing was there, I saw the original also.

Liberty Freedom Peace

But it IS true.

The FIRST re-broadcast of the debates excluded this section.

Luckily, the rEVOLutionaires were on top of it and called Fox out on it. Then it was re-broadcast without edits.

Ironcially, Fox made youTube take down the FIRST clip on youTube of his answer to the electability question. As we all know, it won't do any good. Fox can have youTube remover every single Ron Paul video, and they will be put right back.

Doncha just love the Internet? =)

DIGG

That digg number is great! Keep it up and pass it on.

The rEVOLution is YOU!

The Debate is on Now ! 10:33 CTS Sun P.M.

The electibility question hasn't come up yet.

I imagine they will show the full version tonight. After 2nd airing when the editing alligations first came out I e-mailed every group possible, several thousand people and someof them e-mailed several thousand people.

It went to every political group, cannabis group, investment group, groups around the world.

Gutless

It really disturbs me that no other candidates stood up for Dr. Paul when he was asked such an offensive question. A true American (especially a guy running for US President) should have spoken up and defended him. Instead they giggled like little girls. They know exactly what is going on and they do nothing. This tells me that they are not good leaders and they also wouldn't stand up for average American either. They would choose to quietly let big companies and government bulldoze us.
On the other hand I recall RP on the Jay Leno show standing up for Mitt Romney.
I will not vote for any of these cowards.

People giggle when they're nervous

And Ron Paul is making people VERY nervous, not just with his against the grain message of adhering to the Constitution, but with all of his undeniable enthusiastic, dedicated support, funds and popularity!!!

And yes, the true gentleman and decent human being that he is, Ron Paul did stand up for Mitt Romney on Leno.

Derisive laughter, not giggling

The guys who laugh at Ron Paul (notably Giuliani and McCain) at these debates are doing this with a clear purpose.

hannity was laughing in the background

when Colmes would read the text message poll results - when he mentioned ron paul the laughter would come on cue. this is the message they need to send to people hoping that their viewers stay unconscious and not take Ron Paul seriously.

"Make fun, buddy" ~ Ron Paul to Mitt Romney (on behalf of the American people who are tired of being stolen from and lied to) at fauxnewz debate-Jan 10, 2008

Hannity?

I'm not sure who it was, but the immediate laughter was clearly from someone directly tied to a mic (not from the general audience). The camera didn't show, but it was either another candidate or one of the Fox people. From my early years working PBS camera, I know that a camera is always on everyone (in case something comes up, the director can make a quick switch to whichever camera covers it). I'd love to know which disrespectful SOB it was.

Some many people have lost thier way!

Alos all the suits and blue hairs are in the front rows, (where in the back why?) Some of them also where going along with this B.S. and lughing, it will make good talk for thier next church meeting. So Sad!

confirmation?

Maybe it's in prior comments and I missed it, but did anyone confirm that the "electability" segment was actually removed from a rebroadcast of the debate? I watched a rebroadcast which was shown a couple hours after the live broadcast (I watched both), and I'm pretty sure the "electability" question and answer was included (but I'm not positive). Were there additional reruns of the debate? At what times? At what time was the edited rerun shown? Does anyone have a complete recording of the rerun where they removed the question? Did FOX provide a disclaimer that it was edited? Hey, I don't doubt Fox did this, but it would be a HUGE anti-Fox story if it can be proven true. I have seen little evidence that it's anything more than hearsay, so far. We need dates, times, and recordings. [OK, go ahead and start calling me names, but I'm just trying to get us to be careful before we embarrass ourselves]

Question for anyone who has a recording of the rebroadcast... There is a Comment posted on Ron Paul's MySpace page at 6:48pm (pacific time, I believe), Jan 12. Can anyone confirm this?

So, I am re watching the fox debate that they are replaying currently, and after you made your comments on your feeling about attacking Iran, and Mitt Romney attempted at making a joke, but ended up getting booed, fox edited it to cheers! You need to bring this up and expose fox for the frauds they are!

This would also be huge, if it can be confirmed and documented.

I have it on DVR

I recorded the replay of the debate that started at 11pm CST. The segment starting at the 1:04 mark and ending at 1:21 is a replay of the first 17 minutes of questions from the debate.

I only found this article after I discovered the edit and Googled "fox edit second airing of debate".

After watching the debate real-time I really wanted to hear the "borrowing money from the Chinese to give to Pakistan" quote again. I watched it several times on fast forward, watching only to Dr. Paul's answers at normal speed. I just wanted to hear that quote again, and couldn't find it!

After several re-watchings, I noticed that McCain's last line of "...we would be talking about more tax cuts today" just before Dr. Paul answers a question at the 1:14 mark sounded familiar. I started watching it again from the beginning and stopped it just as McCain finished his answer at the :14 mark. IT WAS THE SAME ANSWER!

It was absolutely edited for the second airing. No doubt about it. I have the proof on my DVR.

they just aired the whole debate

including the #7 electability question.

CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT

History Preserved on VHS through The Baileyshire Archives

Friends, I have preserved this piece of GOP history on VHS. Legal under the "time shifting" conclusion of the Supreme Court of the United States in the 1983 case Sony v. Universal Pictures, our practice has been to record debates.

The reason for suppressing this Ron Paul answer is not what we might at first think. It isn't a controversial political viewpoint, those are actually welcome in the controlled opposition forums of the New World Order. Rather it is the reality of GOP history that must be suppressed.

The GOP is, like the DNC c. 1933-1964, being highjacked by International Communism. We need another 1964 San Francisco Cow Palace. The Ron Paul Revolution could bring this eventuality about based upon populism & outside of the party activism.

Unfortunately, the party is presently so neo-conned & corrupt that the message is being lost in transmission, and/or falling on the ears of the willingly deafened.

Please act to register new GOP members & get out the vote in order to salvage the GOP as a viable party for the future.

Proud member of Ron Paul's Revolution

as far as Digg

my husband and I both have accounts on Digg for the past few months & neither of us have been able to log on in weeks!
about the only thing we spend time Digging is RP stuff

Is it true?

Has it been confirmed that the second airing was edited? Did anyone call other news stations? What about contacting the SC GOP? Is that illegal? It really just blows my mind....right out of my happy little bubble.

What is the latest on boycotting Fox sponsors? Have any of the sponsors pulled away from Fox? Are people boycotting?

suggestion

get a transcript of the debate. Select your favorite parts. Make a video in which you put up a picture of Ron Paul (or other video of Ron Paul) and quote him directly, word for word. Let the audience know that these are the words of Ron Paul at the debate and that Fox News has decided to pull all videos of this clip. Provide a link to the debate transcripts online.

Or, contact the campaign and ask if Ron Paul would be willing to make an audio recording of his own quotes from the debate so that people can use them in videos, since Fox is doing their best to erase what really was said.

Video Upload

I added the video with my own commentary before and after (further solidifying my section 107 protection) and will do WHATEVER it takes within my power to keep this video online. It is 100% legal and I will fight for that

Thank You ..

People were questioning the dead link everywhere I put it and I didnt have an answer for them ... Now I do ... Rock On! :)

Great job!

Great comments too!

The HUGE story

The biggest point is that Fox edited it out of their re-broadcasts. They showed a censored and edited debate on TV and didn't inform the viewers. That is a HUGE story. If people hear that, they will want to see the clip.

Fox falsified the debate - that is the story that needs to get out to the other networks. Don't let this one die! That was Ron Paul's best clip and this gives it the potential to get repeated national attention.

Not only was it wrong for Fox to do it, we must take advantage of this. It's bigger than Ron Paul being excluded from the NH forum. This shows a great clip of Ron Paul that is exactly WHAT and WHY Fox doesn't want the public to hear his message. This is BIG - I'm screaming here!

YouTube Use agreement

For those of you who are mad that Fox requested there property removed from YouTube need to understand it is THERE COPYRIGHTED property.

You are breaking the law when you post anything off TV or Radio on YouTube. Even if you put music in your video, you are breaking copyright laws.

Get over yourself.

Some companies just watch more than others. Right now we have pissed off Fox and they are asking YouTube to delete there property rights.

Comedy Central and Howard Stern are both bad about this. So is BBC and Dr. Who.

Can you tell I spend a lot of time on YouTube

www.youtube.com/PizzaGod

To Hell with the agreement

Everyone posts crap from TV and radio.

Fox's deletion of these videos only demonstrates their violation
of our right to free speech and their hidden agenda for the NEOCONS.

copyright and fair use doctrine

Republishing a broadcast substantially in its entirety is a copyright violation, however there is a doctrine in the law called "fair use." This is how Fox and other broadcasters are able to show short clips from other networks, publishers, etc.

Republishing substantially the entire Fox debate would violate its property rights. However, Streaming few minutes out of the entire 90 minute debate to show the single question and response of a single candidate, Dr. Paul, to make a point, unequivocally falls under the fair use doctrine of American law. It is similar to quoting a paragraph or two from a journal. The law is well settled on fair use. The courts apply four factors - 1 purpose and character of the use (for profit vs. informational or or artistic or matter of public interest or concern), 2 nature of the work copied (personal artwork or piece of poetry or literature vs. factual news or ideas) 3 amount (small portion versus substantially the entire program copied) and 4 effect on the original works value or marketing.

Again, streaming a few minutes out of the entire 90 minute debate to show the single question and response of a single candidate, Dr. Paul, to make a point, unequivocally falls under the fair use doctrine of American law.

Education on Copyright

I post material from fox all the time. NONE has been pulled yet and I would fight any attempt to pull it.

Copyright has something called FAIR USE one of the STRONGEST uses and most protected uses of "fair use" is education.

If its an hour long show well your not gonna have much luck but if its 5 minutes of a 1 hour or 2 hour event and the portion copied is specific and concise to the educational goal you seek IT IS PROTECTED. you are ALLOWED to copy and distribute material of that nature.

Whenever I have a short ron paul clip I am lucky enough to record on telelvision I post it and I mention in my description the fact that usage of said clip is lawful and legally permitted under FAIR USE doctrine for the purpose of educating my audience on my desired presidential candidate. Fair Use Doctrine is not "optional" its THE LAW.

Know the Law USE the law. Stand up for the LAW.

I do not mean to come off harsh but I hate abuse of copyright by copyright holders. It makes me MAD.

Well I guess now I know...

Now I know why the debate wasn't shown in my area last night. This is rather telling since we get Faux AND a Faux 'sister station'.

Something similar happened on POTUS08 on XM Radio

The POTUS08 channel played a rebroadcast of the debate this morning. After the debate, there was the Hannity and Colmes quick interviews with the candidates. Ron Paul was to come last and just before they got to him, there were "technical difficulties" and the segment with Ron Paul never got aired! There's no "disc jockey" on this, so no one ever came on to apologize for not airing it and they just moved on to the next show. What a ripoff!

(By the way, I've heard Ron Paul on POTUS08 more regularly than most other media. However, some of the shows are now skipping over him.)

From now on we know to

From now on we know to videotape anything fox spews. Somewhere someone has a recording and it`ll be all over the net in 2 days so dont worry, these things tend to backfire on the fox communists doing them.

These Criminals Need To Be Exposed

Fox News has proven to be a instrument of propaganda. Spread this around. We need to expose the media outlets as the corporate mouthpieces that they are.

They Took it off Digg and You Tube

Has anyone noticed that it is no longer available on digg. I don't have the link for it but I think someone should repost it because I agree that it was one of the most awesome things to hear from RP.

Digg and Copyright of Video

Nothing is "on" digg - Digg is just a user voting aggregator of LINKS. There is absolutely Nothing Fox can do about a "digg" post.

NOW there are Bury Brigades as they are called. Groups of people with a cause to bury any "digg" on a subject they oppose such as Ron Paul.

Supporters of Ron Paul will need to be diligant and PLENTIFUL in order to "digg up" (DO NOT try to game the system they are quite good at seeing through this) Our numbers must be sufficient to both meet the number needed at that moment to go front page AND have enough EXCESS to battle back bury brigades. SO lets say we need 800 diggs and there are 600 bury brigade users. Add in 100 random buries and we now need at least 1500 diggs to beat back the effects of that bury brigade. making sense now?

Hope that helps.

Stunning Stuff!

Go Dr. Paul!

Here it is

The same video is found in Part 7 of the 8-part series on the Ron Paul-Fox debate at Jan. 10. But, there is no Digg.

Thanks for part 7. I am even more furious at FOX than I was before.

I may be missing something, but I think the RP answer on his electability - where he then goes on to comment about borrowing money from China, giving to Musharraf, etc., is still posted on YouTube here:

http://www.youtube.com/wa...

Or maybe if people can't view it then it's still in my computer's cache from this morning?

I can view it
