Dallas Gun Show
Last weekend I and several local guys here in Dallas attended the Gun Show being held downtown. I walked around the place with my Ron Paul T-shirt, Ron Paul cap with my Ron Paul flyers on his 2nd Amendment stance. Got a lot of thumbs-ups around the room, but also had some interesting comments.
One guy said behind my back, "Cut and run," knowing the comment was in reaction to my attire. I just turned around seeing he had a nice new rifle strapped on his shoulder and was holding an assault rifle in his hands at the booth he was looking over. I simply complimented "Nice guns. Like 'em?" He was taken a bit aback by my engagement, but responded "Yeah" to which I asked "Wanna keep 'em?" He thought he'd have a snappy comeback so responded with the question, "Who's gonna take 'em FROM me?!" I responded "Basically every other candidate BUT Ron Paul." I gave him the 2nd Amendment piece and just carried on my business. Further down the aisle I looked back and he was STILL READING the leaflet...lol.
It doesn't take "confrontation"...just sometimes a simple "engagement" or response.
dont forget GOA
the GOA (gunowners of america) gave ron paul an A+ and should get him lots of support from there
Hey guys...
If you choose, please feel free to download, copy and use this song written for Ron Paul. It is "New York, New York" with special lyrics for Ron.

WILL DO
Talking this morning about going to nursing and retirement homes for Ron Paul parties (These people vote and as a matter of fact my voting precinct location was changed to an assisted living home this year.)
Already have hard copies of the lyrics made up to hand out to residents so they can sing along! Everyone loves that melody and the new lyrics are easy to learn.
Can't tell you the number of times I've played it! Great motivation!
Thank you so much!
NRA
The NRA, with heavy political pull, 4 million members and war chest remains important for the Republican nomination. NRA members will be lining up between Ron Paul and Fred Thompson. Rudy/Romney/McCain are veteran gun grabbers. They will soon fade in the rural and suburban areas that make up the male Republican base.
The NRA leadership appears to favor Thompson at this moment. I can assure the Paulunteers out there that many politically-active NRA members support Dr. Paul (for obvious reasons). NRA members (like me) need to agitate to keep things fair. Here is a letter I mailed last week to Chris Cox of NRA-ILA and to Wayne LaPierra of NRA:

Re: Political Victory Fund (PVF) Ratings
Republican Presidential Candidates
Dear Mr. LaPierre,
As an NRA-Endowment member and Second Amendment activist, I write to express my concern (along with my many conservative Republican fellow gun-club members in Pennsylvania) about the methodology of last years NRA-PVF Ratings for Dr. Ron Paul, the conservative Republican Congressman, currently running for the Republican nomination for the President of the United States.
Specifically, Dr. Paul received a B-rating from the NRA-PVF in spite of his tireless efforts (almost thirty years) as a defender of our Constitution and Second Amendment rights. The B-rating appears misguided and inappropriate, resulting apparently from a disagreement over the Constitutionality of tort-reform and the Federal regulation of frivolous lawsuits against gun manufacturers. As you probably know, Dr. Paul, a respected Constitutionalist, never votes affirmatively on anything that does not comply with our Constitution. We can trust him to do the right thing for our Country and Constitution. He sees most of these issues from the perspective of states-rights, a time-honored way of viewing the Constitution.
I remain active at local gun clubs and gun shows supporting and recruiting for the NRA. Unfortunately, I have received a lot of negative feedback by many concerned gun-owners due to the unjustified NRA-PVF rating of Dr. Paul.
Please use your influence and judgment in correcting this problem. I look forward to hearing from you soon and towards working together for a successful election year for the NRA in 2008.
Sincerely yours,
ok.....campaigning is a contact sport.........We veteran libertarian gun nuts are visiting shows, talking to people and visiting our local gun shops.....so spread the word......we are in this to win.
Neat-O letter Post it somewhere and get it in DailyPaul
This a well-written letter. Get in on DailyPaul and in the forums so people can use it as a template. I haven't even thought about going to gun shops (I miss my guns).
