Although Dr. Paul did not endorse the re-count, I still think it is a good idea to have it just to be sure. I do not want to look back and think "what if?" It is always better to have an affirmation of a vote even if it is not from our candidate.

Please continue to donate even though Dr. Paul did not endorse it.

I live in NH and am convinced that, while the vote was extremely disappopinting, there was no voter fraud. To continue insisting that there was truly disrespects the folks here who try very very hard to run elections correctly.

I am VERY worried that too much time has elapsed between the election and this recount. This is plenty of time for diebold or whoever to make ballots that will match the counts, and somehow replace them.

Maybe I sound paranoid, however everything that has happened so far scares the shit out of me, and I feel this is actually going on.

Does anyone know how well these ballots are "locked up", or if anyone has heard anything about break in's or w/e at places where they store ballots.

Also, a switch could be made while transporting the ballots for the recount. Maybe I watch too many movie's, but hey I can see this.

I really think we need to help them. Raising awareness about these electronic voting machines will only help this country.

This is an affidavit that they can download, take to their bank and have notarized (for free!) and send to the address listed on the website above. These affidavits are SWORN TESTIMONY that a voter has voted for Ron Paul and their signatures are NOTARIZED, making them LEGAL documents!
There will be affidavits available for ALL states very soon! The affidavits for Iowa and New Hampshire must be sent to the address listed on the website; however, the remaining affidavits will have an address printed right at the very bottom of the affidavit. There are already P.O. Boxes set up by regions, for obvious cost considerations!
Anyone, whether individual citizens or groups can download and print as many copies as needed and pass them out at voting precincts, meetup groups, etc. This is an added layer of protection of our voting rights and is just as important as watching the polling places and reporting the actual results!

Dr. Paul had to be kept out of 3rd place so they can begin to cut him out of the debate process and the major media. Hillary is SUPPOSED TO WIN. Exit polls confirmed Obama by 10%...hose job for both parties.

The recount has been ordered according to one article, but it does seem necesary to examine the inside of those machines. I have wondered about this from the start. The people of NH need a state initiative banning electronic voting machines. Meanwhile, the court order sound incumbent.

Dr. Paul may be for peace but sometimes one has to stop turning the other cheek.

.. is how the government wants our tax money to pay for everything -- medical care for illegals, building an empire, nation building all over the world, dept of Homeland Security, No child left behind, ... even matching funds $ to certain candidates who fit the bill.

So why the heck can't they pay for THIS?! The hypocrisy is absolutely absurd!

The entire state of NH uses paper ballots.
Knowing that I dismiss the entire article as the BS it is ...

elected officials.........If I hear anything I will keep you posted. In my town of Newport (just under 12% for paul, sorry, I tried) I have family that woiuld be doing the recount. IF/when they get contacted, I will let you know. My town is a hand count, so I suspect the count to be within one or 2 votes for everyone, if not, right on the money. Hand counts are the way to go. The Sutton thing ( 2 towns over) was human error I suspect, which does happen. I would be interested in hearing the outcome of these scanner things, though.

In NH we have PAPER BALLOTS that were fed into the machines.
Those are what will be recounted.

As someone who has TAKEN PART IN A RECOUNT IN THE PAST, I was surprised to see that it was 100% accurate. Of course, not in such a highly contentious race as a presidential primary, but still, accurate... unless someone smeared up the ballot pretty badly.

I don't think money is an object...according to the person I sent to Mr. Howard who called me about this.

We need a court order......I just read the linked article above.......this is what we need to be concerned about....

Then why isn't someone getting a court order to do this? If the article is correct, just getting a recount isn't going to prove anything because the "recount" will be tainted as well.
$2000 is not the cost of the recount....that was just the "upfront" money that had to be paid to put the recount in motion. I thought we knew that the recount was going to cost around $67,000.........but evidently that isn't correct, either since NH says they will announce next week what the cost is going to be.

and put up the money for private investigators, etc.

that they were going to only charge Albert Howard $2,000 because he received less than 3% of the Republican vote! That needs to be looked into very carefully, something about the State Law was cited regarding the cost of the re-count! Jane Aiken, can you help on this?

So what is REALLY going on in NH? They seems to think that because they use only Optical Scanners to count the votes and it spits out a paper receipt that the original count couldn't have been skewed by software issues. And we're supposed to BELIEVE this?

Seems to me that there would be pleanty of volunteers to count the votes from all parties concerned. So why should it cost a lot of money? There are not that many votes that have to be counted.

This is all public information. If they intend to scam us, no doubt they are keeping an eye on just how much we can afford. Let them price it out first and THEN we will tell them how much we have by donating. You don't walk into a car delaership shouting "I have $50k, who wants to give me the best deal."

Just wait until we get the estimate, and then we will all chip in at once.
