When someone answers in a poll they are for the war, what else are they saying. People have been really influenced by the media and believe there is no way to have a satisfactory withdrawal from Iraq for decades. About 30% polled are pro the war and think Bush is doing a good job. That is a LOT of people.
is there any studies out on the long term effects psychologically on POWs and those who have experienced interrogation /torture and their ability to make sound decisions in regard to issues of such paramount importance? Please do not read this as any kind of slam- the man truly is to be commended as a real hero and i would never suppose to impugn his acheivements- but it would be naive to assume that after all he's been through "all systems are go" you know? If we are there for 100, 1,000 ...10,000 years then we can damn sure expect people who hate us being there will attack us for 100, 1,000...10,000 years.
