Manchester Walk for Ron Paul
The Manchester Rally and Family Walk were well-attended and great fun as always. Staffers and I estimate that about 500-700 people were present.
Most major press were there: Concord Monitor, Boston Globe, NHPR, Union Leader, and possibly others. WMUR was not available, and were 'out in another part of the state.'
After his speech, Dr. Paul was busy as usual answering questions, signing autographs, and having photos taken so I had not yet approached him when finally he had to leave, and as they started to go, he spotted me and gave me a huge hug and said, "I knew I'd see you here!"
This is the nice thing about working for this campaign - all that you do is never forgotten. Rand (Ron's son) was equally as gracious. And I got to meet the newest grandchild too.
CSPAN was supposed to cover Dr. Paul's college town hall meetings for their 'Road to the White House' program so be on the lookout for that.
I did not take any photos today -- I was too busy with logistics, hauling things in my truck, fetching helpers and helium tanks. I was very pressured and just didn't have time. But there should be a plethora of video reports coming out soon on YouTube.
(I confess I still have photos from the June 22 visit to post!)
I was interviewed for a Massachusetts public access program. I am so tired I can't remember in what town he said it would air! But hopefully he'll post the video of it somewhere and let me know!

The canvassing afterward was
The canvassing afterward was especially effective, more groups really need to do it. I talked to alot of people who had never heard of him before, but who were very intrigued by him. Not quite to the point of saying they'd vote for him, but close. It's definitely great for people to see supporters first hand too, it leaves a much more direct impression in their mind. I can't wait to do more of it, it's just so damn effective.
This Rally Was a SUCESS!!!!
Hi All,
I flew up from Philly for this and had a great time!
The turn-out was strong, and the organization was superb!
Afterwards we went out canvassing in Manchester's various neighborhoods, and we reached out to a lot of good people.
I think this type of event needs to be DUPLICATED IN OTHER CITIES!!!!
Canvassing was fun and totally worthwhile.
I want to THANK THE ORGANIZERS of this rally for their invaluable effort in Spreading Dr. Paul's Message in their Area.
And I hope we can all Match this level of Accomplishment in the future.
GREAT JOB NEW HAMPSHIRE!!!!

I knew I'd see you here!
Hello Jane,
I’ve enjoyed your posts on dailypaul and your quote, "I knew I'd see you here!" brought a tear to my eye. I never feel like Ron Paul is in the race for himself. Seeing him in Seattle really drove home the fact that his message is 1000x bigger than his lithe frame would suggest.
I feel like he knows me, although we have never been introduced.
It is soooooo easy to support a "politician" with a small ego.
Isn't it true?
Honestly, he's never sick of you even if he sees you every dang time he's around.
Today I could barely get near him and stayed away on purpose because I knew there were so many others wanting his attention and that he had to get going to other places.
But yes, his comments just come from the heart, you can tell.
And I asked Carol how she was feeling. She must be tired of being asked and she looked fine so we can stop worrying about her now. The weather was nice a cool and not a cloud in the sky...a great day.. In fact some of the Kentuckians were complainin' that it was chilly! (Rand, LOL)
Thanks for all of your hard
Thanks for all of your hard work...
Any idea when/if the press that was there will publish something on the event?
Press
Most major press were there: Concord Monitor, Boston Globe, NHPR, Union Leader, and possibly others. WMUR was not available, and were 'out in another part of the state.'
So far Pindell has reported 250 attendees which was way too low and I corrected him on that.
I have yet to see anything from the CM, NHPR or UL but will post when I do.
Their will be a lot of independent videos coming out too.
WMUR?
Nothing new, yet?
Found some good video from April '07 on their site.
Their "Conversations with the Candidates" series gave Ron some time to explain his ideas. He does go around the subjects a bit, but then ties it all together. Some of the people in the audience have that puzzled, yet intrigued look. You can picture the gears in their heads beginning to turn.

Boston Globe
Short article with emphasis on his family.
Low ball crowd estimate of 250?

I like their "guidelines".
"To improve the chances of seeing your comment posted, say something new, keep it short, and identify yourself. Comments that are in bad taste, poorly written or in capital letters will not be approved.
They didn't post my comment
I posted my comment over 12 hours ago, and I guess it didn't pass muster with them. I felt I was articulate and stayed within their guidelines. I was countering the one negative comment that's been at the top all day. It's a shame.

Sounds positive!

Great!
I thought it was one of the most positive articles yet.
I want MORE OF THESE!
