Contact PAYPAL and demand your funds released... I did...
I have sent an email and called paypal myself demanding that my funds be released...
I am one of the VERY FIRST paypal users having signed up for them for my business...
Paypal KNOWS that we are BUSINESSes that use the account and I got alot of apologies and told my funds are NOW RELEASED to granny warriors (they had to do this since I personally requested it)...
This made ME happy - unfortunately, ONE PERSON cannot make the machine gears turn... but if ALL OF US who donated will do this perhaps we can get the gears turning...
Paypal cannot deny each and every request called in to release the funds... after verificiation they cannot deny sending the monies, its recorded and on record...
GET ON THIS NOW FOLKS... anyone who paid can call, and get their funds released through the verification process...

PayPal has a reputation for
PayPal has a reputation for selective incompetence... they're off the charts for ummm. customer feedback.... care to see for yourself ? Google these two words, Paypal and Sucks... prepare to read many pages on end of how loathed they are... question for the day... how do they manage to stay in business ? One would conclude based on the published reactions.... nobody in their right mind would process transactions through PayPal....
But... here's the curious part... according to Hoover's... PayPal is a subsidiary of EBay... so maybe just maybe the right folks to send your kind thought to are the EBay management...
These are the top officers of PayPal, btw...

"PayPal is an eBay junkie's best friend. The company's eponymous payment system lets users transfer money via personal computer or Web-enabled mobile phone, with transactions charged to the customer's bank account, credit card, or PayPal balance. The company earns fees on payment transactions, foreign exchange, and withdrawals on a foreign bank account, as well as on its customer balances and its credit and debit cards. More than 133 million individuals and businesses (mostly individuals) in 100 markets use PayPal. Processing some 1.7 million transactions per day, the company accounts for $24 billion of its parent's total payment volume of $52 billion."

interesting
give paypal a call if you donated to this chipin!
Good luck
In the past, PayPal has been very slow about returning money. They also seem to be teamed up with Homeland Security to nab "terrorists." They haven't nabbed any terrorists but they have pocketed a lot of people's dough. I believe they are holding on to the payment records and giving them to Homeland Security. That is my guess as to what this is about.
Screw Paypal
I closed my account with them and told them why.
Did you switch to a better
Did you switch to a better alternative to Paypal? Is there a better alternative out there?
Good Info!!
Is there a way for the Grannys to contact their donors?
POLITELY... keep banging away about NEVER having funds withheld.
By the way - the representative is going to tell you certain things that you must stress the opposite... They claimed the funds are withheld on the Grannie Warriors end but will not tell you why... dont get mad but present facts that BOTHER you about paypal... I did... such as:
A. In all my years of dealing with paypal, I have *never* had my funds withheld from a receipiant... be firm... saying this is a FIRST...
B. How can I trust paypal to not do this to me in the future... i.e. withhold funds from a receipiant - I am a business and cannot have funds being withheld from being received... (hope you follow that) - express it is a concern that is quite valid...
C. Stress that you could have used *other than paypal* to send the monies.. i.e. MC, VISA, AMERICAN EXPRESS, etc.. and that this could effect your concerns about paying through paypal in the future.
D. Stress that you use paypal for INSTANT transfer of monies and that is what paypal *bills* and this is a FIRST that may concern you in future transactions..
E. Stress that you want to VALIDATE your donation as true and honest and that you dont want your funds being held up as fraud - you want the monies sent regardless of what use the receipiant may intent... this is a personal and or business transfer of monies.... hope you follow that...
Perhaps you may come up with OTHER valid concerns that I didnt think of... be polite but be insistant... try to drag the conversation out so that in a way you are making this INCONVIENENT for paypal... we dont want them doing this again...
Paypal 1-402-935-2017 DO NOT CALL ABOUT BOYCOTTING...
This number is only for people who have accounts and A. We dont want to tie they up messing with complaints when it can be used PRODUCTIVELY for everyone who donated to get their funds released...
If you call just to complain, this could create problems, only legitamite donors should call and complain... otherwise this will only make things look WORSE as paypal will get more suspicious fraudulent people are calling up...
hope you get my drift...
Devils.Advocate,
Could you please give me PayPal's phone number as we also donated money yesterday to the Granny Warriors? I sure would appreciate it as my husband uses PayPal alot. Thanks alot.
