The Ron Paul Blimp cannot be censored (and it's very cool)!! That is why the blimp can generate press that cannot be generated through more traditional routes. The media in the markets we enter know that everyone in their city will see the blimp and that they will receive numerous phone calls about our presence from people on the ground. So, they figure they might as well get a piece of the action and cover us. In the last 8 days we have received the following attention/coverage on tv news.

I cannot believe this, but it seems they are going to pull it off again!!!
hats off to Lyman and Elijah. They have simply followed free market principles and success has come. There is a message there.
Does the Blimp make the local news?
There hasn't been much network news on the blimp that I can tell. Has anyone in the south seen it featured on local news? Blimp still needs $30K get over there and support it only 5 hours left!

The Primary Target of the Blimp
is people whom have not heard of Ron Paul or don't know about him. The Blimp gives NO information about RP other than he is running for President. It tells people to "Google Ron Paul".
If people Google Ron Paul, they find many things about him. Much of it is positive, much of it is negative. When one Googles Ron Paul, the first page they will get gives these top 3 results:

News results for Ron Paul
If the person clicks and reads the Newsresults, the 3rd link of the original search, it takes the to read ALL sort of truths as well as TRASH about Ron Paul.
Direct advertising, Local advertising, allows US to control 100% of the message that we want our target audience to here and see.
"Google Ron Paul" gives our Opponents EQUAL VOICE in the message that our tageted audience receives.

I think with all the negative BS people are putting on the net about RP, they should stop saying google RP on the blimp, they should just have a campaign slogan on it like Ron Paul Hope for America and the link to the official campaign website.

Google Ron Paul gets people to take action and look into Ron Paul. Rather than passively watching the negative information about Ron Paul in the news they take action to search for the truth about Ron Paul...which is how many of us started out. My journey to Ron Paul started with Googling him and I think many other's did as well. Yes, every message they find is not perfect but it was the same when I Googled and I can tell you that I looked at several links. The allegations of being "fringe" and "whacky" that were out there when I Googled made me side with him because I didn't see why they were ganging up on him.
The blimp also gets people talking to friends and family and making phone calls to ask the local news, chamber of commerce, and politician's offices to find out what the blimp is about and who Ron Paul is..which furthers the effect.
And 4 months ago
RP was only being laughed at, it is quite different what find NOW googling Ron Paul than you found 4 months ago googling Ron Paul.

The blimp is about the most creative
political tool I've ever seen in my 50 years. They are doing a lot of flying over South Carolina, and the local press has been covering pretty well. Hopefully it will translate into support. Of course the big media already has the GOP down to a 3 man race.........and Rassmusen's reporting that Fred Thompson is polling at 9% to Ron Paul's 4% nationwide.......that ain't right!

Since we have no MSM , we need to get the message out anyway we can. Also for we can write and put adds in our local newspapers. That is a great way to market.
