GRASSROOTS – How would you like a RP Nightly Newscast?

With new TV/Internet technology the campaign could broadcast ITS OWN nightly news and tell MSM to - GO STICK-IT! A one hour RP broadcast could focus on various aspects of the campaign including:
1. RP’s daily activity, where he spoke and his daily assessments.
2. Grassroots activities around the country, who’s doing what, what's working, what's not.
3. The daily issues including everything from raising money to voter fraud, to the “daily bull” that the MSM is dishing out.
The technology is proven, comedians are already using it to broadcast nationwide. Would you watch?

Almost Done - Get Ready!
Hi all,
I just wanted to give the latest update on the Revolution Television site.
I've been on top of this project since the 14th, and I know it's not yet been a week but the site is almost ready to roll out.
I'm putting the final touches on the systems I've built, and getting some initial testing done. With a development phase this short, I want to at least try to make sure things work before opening the doors to the public.
The system doesn't stop with broadcasting live or recorded videos, it also has forums, private messaging, friends lists, profiles, polls, audience interaction, avatars and more. It's being built to go beyond just being a place to watch videos. It's a community.
It's located at www.eTeli.com and there's already a lot of information available there. You cant sign up yet, but there's a video stream on the home page, information in the FAQ and in the Announcements & Instructions discussion group, and on other pages within the site.
I will be needing your feedback on this site. I hope the layout and color choices I've made work well, and that the navigation of the site is easy to understand and use. But since I've had so little time to put it together, I may have missed something or got something wrong. If so, let me know!
Unless something unforseen happens, I plan to open the site up for public use by tommorrow (Monday).
I was hoping to get the site done in less time than the week it's taken, but every time I think it's ready - I think of something else that would make the site even better, and out the window goes my target launch date hehe.

The banner is too large right now.
Reduce the size of some of the images on the page, they are visually dominating the page and making the content secondary.
The transmission screen with the vibrating grey pixels could be reduced. It currently makes it hard to focus. Even though its just a graphic prop for the actual videos, people will be more likely to hang around if doesnt stress their eyes as much.
The blogs/forums: Keep them similar to what has been done before. Because people have been using the Daily Paul and RPForms for so long that - they know where to look for stuff and how to interact. So the audience can hit the road running and not have to figure things out.

During the recent web radio broadcast, the campaign was saying how much of the budget was being eaten up by chartering plans.
With a computer and a $700 projector you can have a great looking set up with a huge screen image that 100 people can see. This end-user set up could be done nationwide and you would have "RP LIVE" in living rooms, meet up groups and taverns across the nation - EVERYNIGHT!
Of course it will also work on individual computers.

Yes, this is really needed. It should be a network that reports the truth that the Lame Stream Media (LSM) does not report. Like telling us what is really going on in Iraq an Afghanistan, instead of the current black out to make the other candidates like McInsane look good. How many people have really died, instead of the phony numbers the Pentagon gives us. The truth about our economy and what looks like a banking collapse, instead of happy talk we get all day long. The LSM gave us all kinds of reasons why the polls were wrong in New Hampshire, instead the most obvious reason, voter fraud. And now they don't even mention that there is a recount going on in New Hampshire. They don't report the truth, and then it makes ya sick just hearing the garbage they do pump out. New York, New York - In a conversation with Fox News celebrities, Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity, that was picked up by an open microphone, Rupert Murdoch, Chairman and CEO of News Corp., repeatedly referred to Fox News viewers as morons and white trash. The incident took place as the three men were sitting together at a benefit dinner for the Ann Coulter defense fund. Apparently, they had been drinking heavily which may account for their lack of restraint and obliviousness to the open microphone that was positioned directly in front of them.
At one point, while addressing O'Reilly and Hannity, Murdoch said, "Can you believe the shit we get away with? Good thing our viewers are dumb as doorknobs or else we would be in trouble." To which, Hannity laughed and then replied, "Yeah, I heard that people who watch Fox News have to wear bibs to catch their drool, so their sofas won't be stained by the tobacco juice, and that's just the women." O'Reilly, also laughing, then joined in by saying, "Hey, how many Fox viewers does it take to change a light bulb? None, they all refuse to change the bulb because they prefer living in the dark."
However, the unkindest cut of all that is sure to enrage Fox viewers came at the end of the conversation when Murdoch raised his glass in a toast and said, "God bless trailer park trash and idiots everywhere. Without them Fox News would be nothing and I would not be a billionaire."
After news of the recorded conversation became public, Fox News released the following brief statement, "We encourage our viewers to reject anything they hear or see that does not come directly from Fox News. Fox News is the only source of information you need for Fair and Balanced™ coverage."
If this new network just concentrates on reporting the truth, it will attract swarms of new people and then they will learn about Ron Paul and why his ideas make so much sense. It should also show the excitement at Ron Paul rallies. It would probably be best to call it something like "TruthTV" with Ron Paul segments, so that it can have a life of its own after the campaign. I think a name like TruthTV is easier to remember and say. Dr. Paul could just say, even during a debate, "If you want to keep up with the campaign just go to TruthTV.com." This could turn into something even bigger after the campaign and will most likely steal many viewers from the LSM networks. Who ever does it, needs to make sure that it will have enough bandwidth, because I have a feeling it will grow like crazy. People are starved for truth and real investigative reporting.

Just as the MSM receives a master script on what to say everyday, RP HQ could coordinated issues to cover with the various broadcast projects discussed in this forum.
As much as anything, it would establish two communications with the base.

If you will read down this forum
you will see that there are several independant projects underway already, some TV and some radio.
From the repsponse to this forum, it looks to me like the campaign HQ should either do their own broadcasting, or promote and fund these independant efforts. Tremendous revenue potential from ads.
MSM audience = 26 million
Internet audience = 210 million
Some estimates go as high as 1 million!
I think the advertising revenue could be substantial!

We need to get a large number of RP supporters to regularly watch it online, to prove it's appeal, then try to get it on TV so we can tell the masses to just tune to the channel.
That would be good, but you might be interested in knowing that
the MSM has been loosing about 1 million viewers a year for the last 10 years and is now down to 26 million viewers. On the other hand, Internet users in the US are at an all time high of 210 million.
(References for these media stats/studies were published on this website a few days ago).

You are right, I hope the grassroots
and HQS will start promoting ALL of these efforts.
Personally, I think HQs should consider either doing a TV broadcast of their own OR - funding some of these start up efforts on a revenue sharing basis - the potential advertising revenues are huge.
There again individual supporters might want to contact these start-ups and invest as well. You know there are probably many financial savvy supporters who could set up a coorporation and sell stock for these efforts.
Would that be a WIN - WIN - WIN situation or what!

With RP radio shows already up and running and TV operations under development the RP Media is bursting out and blooming everywhere. Is anyone begining to see why the MSM is so opposed?
The RP movement is becoming an economic force unto itself and will continue as the patriots support each other. Whew - I believe my faith in this country is coming back!

To make this a long lasting, past the election and focused on the movement for freedom, it has to have commentary about bills introduced into congress, the progression of those bills, pro and con, and relivance to the constitution. I would watch it everyday during the Ron Paul push and beyond if it did that.
Number 1 in Google? That would be a big plus!

We need to make sure we get the people who haven't heard Ron Paul speak to watch him. We already know his stances, inside and out, but the average American doesn't. It should be our job to get people to watch him, not take up the bandwidth.

From the response of this forum it looks like it will have a large following. Just wondering if you have coordinated this with HQ and will you be able to get RP to make regular statements about what is going on?
Also, if you had a few articulate and astute anchor people with a nice set, it would reinforce the credibility factor.
Of great interest would be grassroots activity, seeing and hearing HQ personnel and of course the maestro himself!

It's going to be a couple
It's going to be a couple days before it's ready to use. If you check out the 'Blog' link (the top one, not the Video Blogs) you can kind of keep up to speed with where I'm at with the project.
I haven't contacted HQ - yet. Calling up a busy staff and saying "Hey, we're putting together something, but it hasn't been tested and isn't completely built, and you cant sign up yet or log in, and the forums aren't finished, and there's no content..." probably wont go over well.
Once it's up and running, and has content on it so that it makes 'sense' as to what it's for, how it works and what it can do, then that will be the time to 'go big'.
The biggest point I'd like everyone to consider at this time is, I would like to have a 'newsroom' in every state. 50 newsrooms, each providing at least a 1/2 hour 'show' once a week. That would be like doing ten states a day, Mon-Fri.
Lastly I guess I should readdress the cost issues. There are hardly any.
If you've got a webcam (or want to go buy one for 25-50 dollars) that's actually the most expensive part of the process.
The software that is used to transmit live broadcasts to the site has a $19 license fee. Not $19 per broadcast.. but a one-time fee of $19, and then it costs nothing more to transmit as much, and as often, as you want.
That was the biggest hurdle of them all.. finding something inexpensive.
Once the site takes off, perhaps we can find something with greater quality to use - but for what we're doing, and as quickly as it is being done, $19 is a pretty easy solution :)
I've been keeping everyone posted both here and on the Blog page there.. but the threads about it get 'lost' very quickly in this forum. If you leave for more than a couple hours (a couple minutes in some cases), important information and announcements kind of 'slide off into the abyss of page 2+' before you even know they are there.
Not faulting anyone for that.. it's just a side-effect of having so much activity at once.

It would be great if it featured news not just about the campaign, but related topical news items about the economy, health care, etc. that the Olde Mediae won't cover. Get DirtyNyg from YouTube involved (http://www.youtube.com/wa...). Throw in some of the great ads that the grassroots has put together, get some independent non-RP advertisers, put the web address on all of the slimjims, cards, etc., and it's a slam dunk winner!

Id watch it every night religiously. Also you can have other people watch it, those that never heard of Ron Paul. Aslo, Id like to see and hear from RP's campiagn staff... Ive never actually seen any of them speak. Good chance to get to know them. Aslo, this is an oppurtunity for the staff to communicate directly with the supporters!!! There is no down side to this!!
