A Green Ron Paul could end most wars with $6.5k air car that gets 160 mpg air/gas hybrid

Detroit will start pumping these out by the millions...sorry GEOCONS BUT YOU ARE SCREWED!!! THEY KNOW THEIR END IS NEAR.

MDI’s Miguel Celades, Negre’s engine uses compressed air stored at a pressure of 300 bars to pump the pistons, providing a range of around 60 miles per tank at highway speeds. An onboard air compressor can be plugged into a regular outlet at home to recharge the tank in about four hours, or an industrial compressor capable of 3,500 psi (likes those found in scuba shops) can fill it up in a few minutes for around two dollars. Celades says optional gasoline or biofuel hybrid models will heat the pressurized air, increasing the volume available for the pistons and allowing the car to drive for nearly 500 miles between air refills and about 160 miles per gallon of fuel burned.

Basic law of Physics. Energy cannot be............

created or destroyed!
Build more coal powered or nuclear power plants.
Then you can power the air car.
The reason oil is so cool is that you have all this power and you just pump it out. Instant profit. It's like a bank!
Gas is secondary to the chemicals we use for plastic and all the rest.
Actually, gas is mostly a side product.
There is no oil shortage.
It is a political tool because we need cars, especially in the USA.
There is coal in the USA to last 500 years plus.
In Alaska there is oil to last 200 years.
Old oil fields in Texas are still producing way beyond their life.
The Russians have a theory on petroleum and gas production that is almost the opposite we believe.
From this theory they have found fields that they are supplying Europe with today.
If you want to learn more go tp the Nasa website and google hyrocarbons and moons.
OK.
Do your own research and stop watching TV.

Watch and feel the power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What does this have to do with the tea in China?

conservation of energy is not relevent. The ICE and fossile fuels are very inefficient maybe 50% if you are lucky. This air engine is not new and is viable.

There is enough "energy" in 1 drop of water to power the world so how is the conservation of energy applicable.

Also, we know that "material" effects can bring synergy and so called "laws" such as faradays laws can and are routinely violated through materials effects. Besides a compressor does not use a lot of energy, not near as much as a refinery and doesn't destroy the earth and air like coal.
The additional healthcare cost of those who die with cancers and those sick from the bad air aren't even considered with coal. Coal sucks ass.

The compressors can be solar or wind powered.

It is not capital intensive so it decentralizes power and that is the real issue.

What we need is the government out of energy regulation and in the business of protecting energy researchers. We already have the solutions in the sidelines but those with them are afraid to come out of the shadows because of fear for their lives. Or those like Herman P. Anderson who was allowed to live but not allowed to sell his invention.

the USA has more oil

the USA has more oil reserves then the whole middle east.. the oil shale in colorado, wyoming, and utah has aprrox 2 trillion barrels of oil.. shell oil has the technowledgy to take the oil from the shale! and they can do it at 35.00 dollars per barrel.. this is FACT. not including what Alaska has! we are being lied to!

Don't burn any more of that

Don't burn any more of that filth than necessary. Nuclear power + electric cars. Best future for our planet.

If you think the dollar is

If you think the dollar is in trouble now, it would be a lot worse if we started drilling our own oil. There's a reason we buy oil from the middle east instead of drilling here at home, and it ain't the environment.

Watch and feel the power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

maybe, but

I suspect that most of the comments below claiming that new advances in physics and science are being suppressed are quite misguided. Really think about it. What advantage would the powers that be have in promoting oil if there was a new technology? Believe me that if a new technology proves to be profitible, they would be the FIRST on it, because there would be even bigger money to be made.

There are tons of people looking to find the economically feasible breakthrough, but reality has shown that progress tends to be slow and steady. In my years of testing, I have personally tested numerous claims that were supposed to be the next big thing in efficiency. I am still waiting to see one that really performs as advertized. The fact is that many big companies will test even rediculous claims to see if they might be able to make them work. Why? Because testing many of the more reasonable sounding claims is not terribly expensive, and if they can turn it into a good product or even a slight improvement, they get a big advantage and the profit potential is huge. WAY BIGGER than the status quo. Supporters of RP should understand that the market will work this way.

Usually the people making the fantastic claims are missing something or making bad assumptions in their calculations. Once in a while, they are phoneys. Sometimes, somebody is onto something. I agree with the post that says good luck, I hope you do well, but I would not suggest holding your breath waiting to prove the laws of thermodynamics wrong.

Bullshit

Idea would work, but nowhere near the efficiency/range claimed.

Sympathic to green movement

not because of the bogus claims of global warming though.
As a Conservative I support Green for two main reasons, true free market choices and energy independence.

No government subsides for it though of course.

Good private green site

Here's the problem...

My initial reaction is this:
They need to be refilled at gas/petrol stations for about 1.5 euro, which takes you 200 km. The problem is that gas stations need to make money to stay in business, so if everyone is only spending 1.5 euros to fill up, the gas stations will go out of business, and then you will not have anywhere to fill up your air car.

Again, gas stations need to stay in business, so the price to fill these suckers up would have to increase. Unless of course you just plugged it in at home. ? Am I missing something?

its not the gas stations who

its not the gas stations who need to make money it's the FUGGING government who steals .55 cents per gallon in taxes... THINK ABOUT IT!

Convienence stores

Gas is the lost leader - entreprenuers would offer snacks, beverages, souvieners - who knows - I'm all for running my car on something other than petroleum - hemp ethanol, vegetable oil - whatever makes us more energy independent better conservators of the natural resources...Go Ron Paul! www.hempcar.org
SPH Org/ronpaul.meetup.com/926

Hell... Maybe it is just gas...

Most politicians run off the same principle - compressed gas. However, these cars seem useful and cost-effective - a rarity amonst politicians (Dr. Paul notwithstanding). :)

There is no such thing

as "Free Energy". About as close as we can get is a nuclear power reactor.

actually

Fortune Favors the Bold

free energy is what makes life possible. Ordered systems exist at the expense of total free energy in their surroundings.

Better get on this quick

Romney or Huckleberry will come ot and say that they have the answer for all of our woes

100% more efficient than any other air powered engine

100% more efficient than any other air powered engine

Former Mercedes Benz experimental engineer Angelo di Pietro conceived the Rotary Air Engine while working in his Melbourne-based Engineering business over many years.

"I started work on this project many years ago in my head," said Pietro, "and I have seen the need for such an engine many times. As my engineering business was doing okay, I was able to spend more time on the idea and with each new prototype the design has been refined."

http://www.gizmag.com/go/...
http://www.youtube.com/wa...
http://www.engineair.com....

I will go a step further.

The ICE "internal combustion engine" has been Obsolete for well over 50 years. Is is kept as a leash more so than even as a means of wealth. It is well within our ability to stop the use of oil as a fuel completely within 5 years time. Its only need is for materials such as plastic, rubber, and other synthetics.

Now consider this with free fuel, some markets take a huge hit, others explode and flurish. Free energy means Limitless clean water, It mean free and easy Irrigation, which inturn means a real quick end to world hunger.
It greatle reduces the cost of raw materials and food. The reduction it the cost of raw materials and production costs due to not have a power bill means a HUGE drop in the price of all consumer goods. This is where it gets tricky! Pay attention! This is what they dont want! This all leads up to one thing!

The line between Rich and Poor becomes a lot less obvious, the middle class explodes and the poor all but cease to exist. The elites Influence dwindles to a glimmer of it previous grandure.

Wave to the reality they have been keeping from us for over 50 years.

Just for kicks a few other things free abundant energy makes easily achievable.

#1 Inexpensive even free space travel.
#2 Off world colonies.
#3 Terra-forming "which means no threat of over population."
#4 Quantum Tunneling once its perfected of course

Get RP in Office expect to see many of these existing technologies declassified. Also expect a lot of science the be rewritten as our fake educational system is completely revamped and they loose the ability to keep new discoveries from main stream circulation.

ahhh the powers of the Internet!

Right on bud...

We have allowed a select few control us for too long. Freedom rules!!!

The problem is not oil. Oil

The problem is not oil. Oil is a perfectly legitimate natural resource. To not make use of it is insane. We will only fall behind as nations like China laugh at our foolishness and pump billions into the Middle East, replacing the income we withdraw as we toot our false energy independence horn. True energy independence would mean drilling in Alaska, not subsidizing Iowa.

But neither will ever happen in a big way. It is all a smokescreen to placate the environmentalist movement. The reason we will never end our reliance on Middle Eastern oil is because of the deal we made with the Saudis and their amenable neighbors: we agreed to buy their oil and build up their infrastructure, they agreed to only trade oil in dollars and to buy up our securities to give our dollar something to stand on. Period.

Hussein was not amenable so he had to go.

Iran is talking about trading in euros, time to bomb them.

Ron Paul talks about backing the dollar with shiny metal instead of by the national debt. Silence him.

Get the picture? These interventions are about the economy, not terrorism.

The establishment doesn't want to wean us from foreign oil, and they shouldn't want to. That would only shift influence over the market from us to the Chinese. The Middle East is always going to make fabulous profits from their only commodity, as well they should. The question is, should we take part in that market or not? It doesn't have to mean war, just trade. We have 200+ years of capitalistic business experience over China. We can play fair and still whip them in the marketplace.

----------
Liberty for Dummies

Exactly.

You hit the nail on the head. The Middle east is buying our debt, buy using the dollar for their reserve currency. If they stop doing this, or if we use oil from our own country, the federal reserve notes will fail because they are backed buy nothing, except the oil that they trade in.

You wanna pay my insurance?

Insurance companies are in the crapper and hitting everyone with their crap. Nowhere to go but down. The ice storm of 2007 here in Missouri slapped us into reality. Grociery stores adding up totals with pencil and pen trying to get rid of rotting food and just getting rural water was a challenge. I couldn't imagine what the people in New Orleans have had to deal with. You listen too much to those FOX radio talk shows.

You must be kidding

"You listen too much to those FOX radio talk shows."

You must be kidding. The FOX radio talk shows would laugh me off the air for what I said above. They're the last ones who would admit the truth as I outlined it, because they are deeply invested in the scheme.

At any rate, I could find no connection between your post and mine. Please clarify.

Nuclear power combined with

Nuclear power combined with electric cars or technologies like this is the answer. Zero emissions, and the waste problem is manageable. We have so much empty space in the center of the country, we can find a bloody spot for it. It doesn't even take that much space.

Sure there are risks, but none compare to the risks of continued petroleum dependence.

This car does work...

I saw a special last year on the History Channel about awesome alternative energy inventions, and this was one of them.

The problem here is that it probably won't pass the crash test because it is made of lightweight materials.

http://www.popularmechani...

I'm all for green, alternative enrgy. I hate oil. It would go a lot faster if we stopped subsidizing oil.

I may be a vegetarian, but I'll defend to the death my right to eat pork!

go green and win

My homeowners insurance here in Missouri has doubled because of all of the recent storms and natural disasters abroad. I personally feel that our government has transformed China from bikes to cars for their own benefit. They all want oil to back our dollar instead of gold.

Those cars probably will be illegal here...

They don't use enough gas. Worse, they don't use gas!

Arithmetic...

...and thermodynamics can be a real nuisance at times. I don't wish to dismiss the concept of the compressed air car out of hand, but it seems to add another inefficiency into the energy loop.

IF household current ever gets to be cheaper than gasoline/alcohol/diesel then the air car MIGHT be competitive. Until then, it's going to be the same expensive exotic novelty as the hydrogen fuel cell.

"If you push something hard enough, it WILL fall over."
Professor Bernardo de la Paz
www.citizenduquesne.org

household current IS cheaper

currently around .60 cents a gallon if made centrally w/ natural gas. much less if hydro
or for this example
4 hours at 115V x 20 A = 9200 W X .10 cents KWH = 91 cents to fill up

Depends where you live

in NY I pay .18 KwH plus fuel surcharge; Maine is .22 KwH

I may be a vegetarian, but I'll defend to the death my right to eat pork!

Gravity and water, the wind and the sun

We shouldn't have to burn jack shit to produce energy. Ron Paul will not give in to special interest on this. Imagine what a country we could be. I personally believe that our government extremely limited our potential because of greed. The microwave oven was about the last tidbit we have been allowed as far as energy efficiency. Old ovens and elements suck alot of juice. I wonder what a water heater (which has been the same for about 50 yrs) would save us with a microwave heating element? My two cents

What you were taught.

Is incorrect - not your fault though, its not as if it was easy to know otherwise. Science regarding many of the so-called laws of physics has been surpressed since before WW2.

Check this out.

This does not relate directly to this invention but - it has to be understood.....
all current uses of the internal combustion engine using gas are terribly - inefficient in their use of fuel. The reason is that the governments of the world have suppressed progress in order keep the global oil paradigm alive.

www.cheniere.org

Criticism of a few "accepted" theories.

Tom Bearden : "We have all been educated in the arbitrarily crippled Lorentz-regauged version of the Heaviside-Maxwellian equations that only deal with EM systems that have already been violently wrenched into local equilibrium with their vacuum energy exchange."

I dunno

at the rate that solar and wind energy is dropping in price per mW, you dont have to have great conversion efficiencies to use hydrogen. Hydrogen is like an inefficient battery that doesnt pollute.

Bird Guillotines

If you were to put up the necessary capital to erect enough windmills to capture atmospheric energy, or owned enough acreage to lay out photovoltaic screens, you might make a go of electrolyzing hydrogen in marketable quantities and actually powering automobiles competitively. Frankly, I hope you succeed, and if you do, you deserve to become fabulously wealthy. Let me know how that works out.

Viva Agora!
Professor Bernardo de la Paz
www.citizenduquesne.org

Personally, I think microgeneration is where its at.

It is just a matter of time before our homes are roofed with microprinted solar cells, and our cars are painted in the same. Granted, this is a problem in the Pac NW, but enough grid electricity could be generated in the Mojave to compensate.

All you have to do is connect the dots. One guy has built a 50k home and car hydrogen conversion kit along with solar and wind generation, another is turning BIG SUVs into vehicles that run on diesel, bio diesel, or hydrogen, get 60mpg or straight hydro, and do 0-60 in 5 seconds...

Seriously, the only thing holding us back is the major business interests who would rather continue to milk the current system than convert. Just like the horse and buggy, oil for transportation fuel is doomed.

The Energy Machine of Joseph Newman

SPEED IS SOLUTION FOR
ALL WATER & ENERGY PROBLEMS

Phenomenal speeds of massive Newman energy machine
at EXTREMELY LOW input power!

See Googlevideo site:

This technology will revolutionize our access to energy.

The energy machine is proof that the strength of the motor's magnetic field
is dependent upon the VOLTAGE --- NOT the CURRENT!

For the first time, Joseph Newman demonstrates the
energy machine that turns a 1,650-lb rotary and powers a
375-lb positive displacement pump using LESS THAN 20 WATTS!

In the video demonstration, the energy machine produces phenomenal
speed, torque, and continuously pumps water using LESS THAN 20 WATTS!

LESS THAN 20 WATTS!!!

Conventional technology would say that such is not possible.

Yet, the Newman Energy Machine can accomplish that ... and much more.
In fact, the technology can be used to provide abundant, non-polluting,
inexpensive electromagnetic energy to power the world.

No more water or energy shortages - anywhere on the planet.
No more fossil-fuel-related pollution.
No more skyrocketing energy costs.
No more global warming caused by the use of hydrocarbon fuels.
No more nuclear reactor wastes.
No more coal-burning power plants.

This technology will provide abundant, inexpensive, non-polluting energy
to power homes, factories, automobiles, ships, planes, appliances ...
in short, the entire world can utilize this revolutionary technology.

The following video (previously posted) features back-to-back
national news broadcasts about Joseph Newman's revolutionary energy machine.
