HR1955 nullifies THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE

It has already passed the House and will no doubt soon be passed in the Senate! It effectively voids the Declaration of Independence. That means everything it asserts you have a right to is revoked and cancelled. The Declaration has no more meaning to us.

HR1955 HAS CANCELED THE DECLARATION.

Hey everyone if you haven't yet make copies of the Bill of Right's and the Constitution. If these things such as this continue one day it could be possible the info will not be able to be accessed.

I meant the government is making it illegal to even THINK, SPEAK, and WRITE against the government. I do believe this is unprecidented, no? Does this not diminish the spirit of the Declaration? Does this not, in a fashion, encourage the abandonment of the Declaration and what it stands for? If one embraces the document and does want to think, speak, or write against the government (which is what the Declaration is all about) one is locked up or deported.

Do not these actions destroy the very nature of the Declaration? It will now be seen for all posterity as a radical document, and one best left to the annals of time and not in the hearts and minds of the people.

The law of nature...

I'm not familiar with this house bill, but would like to make a point. If any law violates natural law it is void ab initio (which means from the beginning). The constitution protects our natural rights, it doesn't give them to us, only protects what we already have, the rights we are born with. So, if there is any law they try to apply to us that we feel violates our freedom we have the right to protest for no other reason than violation of our natural rights. The only reason they get away with this is because people don't have an understanding of the law of nature. Judge Napolitano is the best person to listen to about this topic. I think if we have a better understanding of this it would stop a lot of unnecessary arguments.

The Declaration of Independence isn't a law.

It's a statement of our reasons for overthrowing the rule of King George III. It's not a law, it's not the constitution, so there's nothing to nullify.

These laws mean nothing

These laws mean nothing unless they are enforced. Draconian EOs and evil laws have been coming out of Washington ever since the Nixon Administration.

They are setting up martial law piece by piece with the intent of enforcing it later.

What the laws that filter through Congress DO achieve is that they provide us with a crystal clear picture of which party is the "lesser of two evils", and who violates his/her Oath of Office.

Sorry to put it so bluntly! But, NO! It does NOT change anything about the Declaration of Independence.

The Declaration of Independence is a stand alone document. It was written and existed long BEFORE the Constitution and long before the "United States" entity even existed. The "United States," as an entity, was first created by the "Articles of Confederation" in 1781. The Constitution of 1789 was a document to "amend" the Articles of Confederation and thus provide for an independent "Treasury" for the newly created "United States" - as the Articles did not provide the newly created United States government an independant Treasury. Under the "Law of Nations" a nation must have "4" elements in order to qualify and exist as a recognized nation for purposes of commerce and trade. 1) Legislative Branch, 2) Executive Branch, 3) Judicial Branch, and 4) an Independent Treasury - whereby to bind its officials (Bonds) in case of misconduct on their part while in office.

It took for an entire "Constitution" to "amend" the Articles of Confederation and thus amend the United States government. Yet it is IMPOSSIBLE for the "United States" or any branch of the United States government, or for ANY entity or ANYONE to "amend" the Declaration of Independence. It can NOT be amended, anulled, abrogated, nor phased out, nor adultered in any way, and will always remain forever as a sort of ghostly monument of time. It can not be changed! Even if a bunch of pirates "steal" it and burn it to ashes, it STILL remains written upon the universe itself! Thus it is a "Universal" document!

The Declaration is MORE than just a stand alone document, MORE than just a great historical document, MORE than just an American Icon, MORE than just a UNIVERSAL document. It is a historical document that describes the Rights of man and the sovereignty of the people of the original 13 Colonies and the original "united States." (They did not capitalize the "u" in united when they wrote it). It applied to them and still applies to all of their "offspring" that was born of and after them. ALL FUTURE generations yet to come!

The Declaration is also framed above and thus stands OVER the Constitution at the National Archives.

You can steal it, shred it, burn it... but you can never get rid of it! It is inscribed upon our hearts and minds... words inscribed upon our hearts and minds forever. Just as much so as those words are inscribed upon the parchment itself known as the Declaration of independence. To take it away from you is to say that someone can take away your hands, arms, legs - or your very "heart" itself!

Nobody can TAKE anything away from you unless you let them. And certainly not your hand, your arm, your leg, your heart... nor your "Declaration of Independence." It is YOUR document just as much as it is MINE! And NOBODY is going to take away MY Declaration of Independence from me! Nobody!

Nothing can nullify it! It is all peoples right everywhere to throw off oppressive government and establish new government if they so choose. The DI simply illustrates that right. It existed before it was written and no legislature can take away such rights including the bill of rights nor any and all unalienable rights.

These documents grant no such rights they are inherent and they are exercised and preserved by the peoples willingness to stand up and preserve them and fight for them if necessary.

Apparently you have not read the bill. You don't have that right anymore...

It is a Thought Crimes bill. Simply speaking out or writing against the government (no action required) they can lock you up without trial indefinitely or simply deport you forever.....

not truly law. For it to truly be a law, it would have to abide by the Constitution. The Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land. Any law which subverts or contradicts and / or undermines the Constitution is null and void. There have been several Supreme Court decisions which have uttered the aforementioned. Executive Orders fall into this category as well. GWB has written perhaps 10,000 or more of these. He cannot seem to give himself enough power.

Um apparently you don't understand what unalienable rights are. Or you didn't read what I wrote. I don't care what the bill says no law can take away an unalienable right. It was against the law for the founding fathers to rebel against the king but they had the right and they did. Government cannot take away that which it never had authority to give. We do not have rights because they are illustrated in some document, we have rights because they are inherent to all men and unalienable. Governments may oppress those rights at times however it behooves all men to fight for their unalienable rights.

We need to watch this bill, now called S1959 in the Senate. According to govtrack, it's not scheduled for discussion yet. I can't imagine Senators McCain, Obama or Clinton wanting anything to do with voting for this bill until after the election. They all know we are watching them on this bill. We've all written to them about it.

The constitution

nullified an important part of the Declaration, unfortunately.
Article 1 section 8:
"To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union,
suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions"
Kind of conflicts with the ability of the people to act to form a new government.

It nullifies the Bill of Rights, and the constitution. Just like the elites want. Can't have a populace thinking they don't want ruled by a bunch of one world douche bags.
