Win Maine!

We can do it!

MAINE MAINE MAINE - YOU CAN HELP

Are we taking full advantage of the opportunity Maine offers us?

MAINE NEEDS YOUR HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you can offer help, get in touch with a Maine Meetup Group ASAP or Ron Paul Maine headquarters.

If you can make 10 calls, 20 calls, whatever... OR even better, if you can come up to Maine and canvass we have daily canvassing events scheduled - contact:

Ron Paul Headquaters
437 Congress St
Portland, ME 04101
207-699-2909 or 207-409-8969

Don't want to make phone calls? Google ten Maine businesses and send them specific emails. For example, if you sell shoes, find 10 shoe stores that you can relate with and send a personalized message via email. If you're a real estate broker... you get the picture. Lots of people have their email addresses available online.

Remember Maine is small and Ron Paul is pretty much the only candidate on either side that has come here. I only see Ron Paul signs around (except 1 Romney and 1 Kucinich). Maine is a good shot so lets not regret that we didn't do enough.

THERE ARE ONLY 4 days left!!!!!!!!!!!! ACT NOW so you don't have to regret it later!!!!

We love maine in this family!

We took a trip there and loved it...truly beautiful. I am so excited to hear this news...I have prayed that Dr. Paul would go to Maine...this is wonderful news!

I truly believe that Dr. Paul will come in 1st place in Maine. He will not be moved from this postion.

Go President Paul!

This is how RP can win

going after the states that get less attention like NV and LA. I think we all need to recognize that the RP campaign are very clever players. This is exciting. GO MAINE!!

Sounds about right

However, don't go too far off the deep end... I believe that Dr. Paul knows what he is doing. We believe he could win in Alaska if he comes here, as well. He can't be everywhere. But I do hope your request is heard; surely they are considering it already.

Ron Paul **IS** coming to Maine (January 27th-28th)

Ron Paul 2008

Does anyone know how many

Does anyone know how many people attended the Maine caucuses in the past?

How many delegates does

How many delegates does Maine have?

Anyway, I agree with this. Florida is a loss cause. I'll bet the entire Miami/Dade area votes for McCain and the rest follow suit. I'm positive that the affluent Latino community thinks McCain is going to be tough on Castro and Chevez which is absurd.

The majority of urban Americans are weak minded. They would rather sit around at Starbucks and discuss their lives than to take a few minutes to rationally analyze how to make America better. I know this because I've lived in Baltimore, New York, Singapore, and Tokyo. City people are all the same.....

(complete with training slides)

Amazing....

According to the rules, I could show up and run as a delegate for say.....I dunno, McCain, and dilute (split) the vote with another McCain delegate, thus ensuring another candidate's delegate gets elected to the state convention......

In the odd chance that I do get elected as a delegate for McCain, I'm not bound to vote for him at the state convention, I could vote for whatever candidate I choose.....hmmmmm

Interesting to know....do you think other candidates will try this?

I do not think you know maine....

Maine is a welfare state... and when not on welfare most people are employed by the state.. While I do know Ron Paul has a nice following in Maine ( I have recruited a few myself) Ron's anti welfare message is not helping him...
But do have faith because... There are many of hardworking folk that blame the gov. (and rightfully so) for killing the industry in Maine, and it has now become, well basically a police/government state.

People get tired of paying 1.75 and having it go into the GENERAL state fund... ( I personally love user fees, only if they pay for what service is being provided!)...

WE REALLY JUST NEED TO GET OUT THIS MESSAGE OF WHAT KILLED MAINE... It is a dead state... we need more than road signs... we need 1 on 1 discussion.

I can only convince so many myself...

www.politicallore.com

i dont know that i would

i dont know that i would clasify maine as a welfare state..its not a wealthy state for sure..but a welfare state?..im slightly offended by this generalization..and i dont think that the majority of the people of maine that are voters are in that class...maine has a tough economy which im sure is a great reason for them to find interest in Ron Paul..all of the people in maine that ive spoken with, which i do regularly, have embraced him with open arms..either way..why discount them because you think they feel the need for welfare..maybe a bit of real economic stimulation will aleviate the burden they have and wont need welfare..but i myself know some in maine on welfare..but i know many many many more who are not and never have been...

that is true, but republicans who fund the welfare state

through taxation are the people we're after for this caucus. I think most Mainer's are pretty fed up with taxes in general. After all, Maine has the highest tax burden per capita income in the country.

I did some of my own polling and it looks like Obama and Clinton are neck and neck here with very few people mentioning a republican.

if any are interested in

if any are interested in maines poverty and why i think they would support ron paul..please read here..

http://www.umaine.edu/mcs...

the trouble will be...

the trouble will be... finding the republicans... lol
I have had more luck convincing democrats to switch over...
Everybody moved to NH already... Not many republicans left...

OK GUYS - HERE IS HOW TO HELP MAINE OUT (PLEASE HELP!!!!)

PLEASE BUMP THIS - AND POST THIS IN OTHER FORUMS
MORE NAMES ARE COMING AND WE NEED HELP
TIME IS RUNNING OUT
LET'S WIN OUR FIRST STATE - MAINE!!!!!!

Hi All,

Thanks for the interest, we just got a list of 1000 recently identified Ron Paul supporters, I have this list divided into pages of 25-30 names each. Please call me at 207-699-2909 (9am-5pm EST) if you can help us turn these supporters into delegates. We have a great base of support, a strong need for delegate identification/education, and out of state help is just as valuable as in state help.

Any and all offers to help are appreciated and will be accepted if you email AND call,,,the email is coming in fast and furious these days my appoligies if I do not respond immediately. Remember, we have many more list of supporters to whom calls should be made. Thank you, GO RON PAUL!

Go Maine!

With so many States and so little time, you guys on the ground are vital. You've got to have the people ready when he lands and squeeze as much media attention as you can get from this. Then follow it up with getting voters to the caucus locations. So much of this has to land on you guys on the ground but you're right, this would be a really good thing.

Besides, what an awesome anniversary present!

Agreed

I have to agree. Florida is winner take all, so unless RP gets another 25% in support... He needs to be there today for the debate and rally, etc., but they should be putting him in a state where he has a chance. Look at Nevada. He might have done even better if he had been there longer.

Yeah but..

Placing well in Florida, even without delegates, looks good to the electorate going into both Maine and Super Tuesday.

No one will notice

Unless he gets double digits, but the polls are showing him at 3-7%. The incremental 1 or 2% he might get with an all out campaign in the last few days is not going to make anyone sit up and take notice.

Maine has GOTTA be a state of CommonSense

Go get some CommonSense flyers and get the copiers & laser printers churning out copies of these things... then get 'em in peoples hands ASAP.

After a positive comment on the CommonSense flyers by an (anonymous) RP Store worker who also said: "I work for the RP store and I knew those [official campaign] slim-jims had to be ineffective because we sent truckloads of them to Iowa/NH-probably in the millions."

Desperately need a win

Bump!

Go Maine!!!

New Hampshire....are you listening?

please read this and the

please read this and the following comment i left..it has local tv stations in portland and the rest of maine..let them know THE MAN IS COMING!!!!
http://www.dailypaul.com/...

BUMP! BUMP! BUMP!

listen to LAclient19... do whatever he says and good things will happen in Maine.

money bomb

New Hampshire

This is your second chance to help Dr. Paul......let's canvass Maine.

CAN YOU THINK OF A BETTER COMMERCIAL 2 DAYS BEFORE SUPER TUES

Maine results will be in on the evening of the 3rd.
MSM has mentioned Maine every time they mention upcoming early states.

If MSM decides to report (IF) then wouldn't it be WONDERFUL to have Ron Paul WIN a state 2 days before super Tuesday?
In order to make that happen Maine will need help. We are working it hard but could always use some assistance to get the word out. If Louisiana can do it (in a state where Ron Paul voted against Katrina relief) ... Maine should be able to win this! Maine's caucus is similar to Louisiana and we can take advantage of the process. We simply have to get enough delegates to each precinct and have them voted in by supporters. It's not that huge of numbers and I think it can be done.

PLEASE BUMP THIS OFTEN

IF YOU CAN OFFER HELP FOR PHONE BANKING, LETTER WRITING, CANVASSING, WANT TO COME UP TO MEET THE GOOD DR. THIS SUNDAY/MONDAY... BY ALL MEANS PLEASE GET IN TOUCH MAINE HEADQUARTERS MEETUP GROUP:

http://ronpaul.meetup.com...

Canvass Canvass Canvass

Get out the vote....know the rules of the caucus....show up late, don't show your hand....

Create a Right to Life slate, a Support our troops slate, a Save Social Security slate......(see Louisiana caucus)

Plan, organize, but don't show your hand....

Go Ya'll!!

I love Maine!

RON PAUL IS COMING TO MAINE!!!!

Should be arriving Sunday night and will stay through Monday

Waiting on details from our meetup group!!!

I hope he's in Florida until Sunday

Yeah, Maine is very important, but, unlike most on this site, I'm counting on a strong Florida showing if Dr. Paul does just a little bit of serious campaigning there.

He is flying into Portland, ME (Portland Jetport) Sunday evening

exact time is not available as of yet - will post details as soon as we hear confirmed time of arrival.

A group is gathering to greet him. We think local media might be there (we're making sure they know about it) and since not many candidates have visited Maine it's a good chance we'll make news. If you're nearby come on up!

Mainers.....

Now is the time to go Canvass for him.....sign up as a precinct leader and hit the streets....make sure every Mainer has a Ron Paul slim jim in front of him when the news covers Dr. Pauls arrival...

You asked for it.....

He's going....better give him a big welcome.....

AGREE! AGREE! AGREE!

With a decent OFFICIAL effort, and the always awesome grassroots work, Maine can be a WIN.

You want the $$$ to flow again?? Get a WIN!

being from maine i know that

being from maine i know that maine is always up for change..we can take maine easily in my opinion...

I agree Maine is important,

I agree Maine is important, but priorities have to be set as part of the campaign strategy.

I don't think we need to remind the official campaign, Ron Paul or his wife Carol that he should go to Maine.

To help Win Maine, You need to help these people

No one from any Maine meetup (as far as I know) has sent names to this letter writing campaign. http://www.louislogan.com...
They have sent out over 645,000 letters to people, and are always asking for more names. If anyone knows precinct leaders in this state, send them here. If we get people to write them letters, they will know about Ron Paul.
Also- if you can become a precinct leader, that will be HUGE there. It is a proven way to up the vote for Ron Paul!

its like Alaska and Hawaii so far would take days to set up

a satellite feed is the best chance

"All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent" Thomas Jefferson

bump!!!!!!

bump!!!!!!

I just emailed

Someone in our meetup that has had contact with Carol Paul. Hopefully we can get the mesage through about Maine to Ron that way.

Maine - small enough to make a difference

Here's how you can get in touch with Maine meetup peeps:

http://ronpaul.meetup.com...

Call-4-Paul Phone Banking, Canvassing if you live in a nearby state and can come help, emailing, letter writing, adopt Maine and give us an hour, a day, whatever you can.

Maine is a caucus state and has a slightly less population than that of New Hampshire. We don't have to reach everyone, just people who are serious enough and willing to go caucus. Maine can be won! We simply have to get enough Ron Paul support out at caucus to vote the delegates in.

Does Maine assign delegates

Does Maine assign delegates by district? or is it winner-take-all?

not winner take all

assigned delegates with 2 super delegates (already voiced 1 for Gouhliani and 1 Romney)

Really?

The GOP has Super Delegates? I thought that was only the Dems. Is this is many other states do you know?

MO does

3 of the 58 Missouri delegates (5th largest GOP delegation in the nation) are superdelegates--the state chairman, the national committeeman and the national committeewoman. The other 55 delegates are elected by a complex multilevel system.

I had no idea

There were so many people in Missouri. Thanks for the info.
