Democratic Debate: Anyone Watching This?
Hillary just keeps trying to bash Obama and he keeps throwing it right back in their face. I always felt, other than the obvious fundamental issues, Barrack was the best mainstream candidate, and his ability to handle this debate is reassuring.
Not trying to start a "Go Obama" group within those of us that support Ron Paul until the end, just wondering if anyone else is seeing this in the same light.

My Input- for what it's worth.
I understand what Jarad is trying to say.
One of the first rules of warfare is "respect the enemy." In my eyes, they are the enemy in this campaign. Does this mean I support Obama by writing this? LOL Of course not. I wouldn't be fighting so hard for the good doctor if I did, and I damn sure wouldn't have given Dr. Paul the cash I had today.
I think Jarad has the point of view that despite Obama being the enemy, he at least respects a strong trait in the opponent. This is the beginning of tactical wisdom in that strengths and weaknesses can be exploited for an advantage.
This comment is not indicative of turncoats in the ranks by any means. Caesar respected Pompey, Patton respected and in some ways admired Rommel, and so on. They were enemies, but understood the chivalry and wisdom of respecting the opponent. They may have different views and be enemies, but giving credit for a feat as an aside thought isn't necessarily a sin.
RP and Obama....
are vastly different,in policy and approach.
Besides,Obama is CFR; he is the Bildebergs 'back-up' candidate,to make it look like dems. have a choice in this race.Do not be fooled by their banter, which mysteriously was rather non-existent for some time.
He may be a nice guy (I do not personally know),but is not a RP alternative/back-up.

Obama = CFR = North American
Obama = CFR = North American Union = Amero = REAL ID.... After all this we have the end of America... Ron paul is the ONLY HOPE.
EMAIL the GOP! The dems are real and dangerous!
My Letter to the GOP and basically represents my argument to help sway friends and family to RP.
Let me say, I am the typical middle class male, registered Republican and I grew up watching Ronald Reagan change this country.
That being said, and in watching the Democratic debate, I fear that there is only one way the Republicans can take the White House in 2008.
The only way we can take the White House is to put a candidate in place that can defend income redistribution and socialization. There is only ONE way we can do this and the GOP needs to wake up or resolve ourselves to sit on the sidelines and watch our country go the way of the Soviet Union.
We need to put a candidate in place that stands by an irrefutable position that cannot be bribed to bend; a position that is irrefutable and cannot be defended against. This position is to be a firm believer in following strict constitutional positions. We need to look seriously at putting ourselves back in control and select a candidate that cannot be beat. Ron Paul is the only hope we have. If the GOP wants to resurrect itself and rise above the mire of the Bush doctrine by leaving our stubborn support for this criminal behind us.
If we do not position Ron Paul as our candidate, we will not win. I know the leaders of the GOP have run campaigns before, but we really need to get our heads out of the sand. Prove the GOP still stands by our past and unbelievable representation by Goldwater, Reagan, Gingrich, and DeLay. Put a real Republican in the race.
To allow any of the others to represent us is to tell the American people we do not recognize the errors of our current representatives, Bush and Cheney. Doing this is a tragic mistake and will cost us at least a decade of penance and possibly loose our great nation to a collapsing economy due to severe income redistribution and socialization of all aspects of our personal lives.

I am watching it!
I wanted to see what they had to say about the economic situation. Instead I am appalled at the fact that all they seem to want to discuss is how sympathetic they each are to the need for a nanny state. These fools have dozens of ways to spend even more money that we don't have!! Unbelievable!!! They are all living in la la land and are dumber than dirt!!
it's worse than that
I'd be perfectly happy with a nanny state but on "progressive blogs" you have people who think that "defaulting on debt and starting again with a clean slate" is honorable. when I ask: "would you be happy if the federal government went broke and defaulted on social secruity checks?" nobody is brave enough to answer that one.
the notion of "personal responsbility" and "local government" escapes them.
Dems are running a shell
Dems are running a shell game. Their every move is totally determined by whatever the status of the GOP.
You have to know the enemy
I particularly liked the remark Obama made regarding having to evaluate if Bill Clinton could dance before he could consider him to be a "Brotha".
They don't talk about the issues.
They've mostly been talking about race, gender, etc.
somebody kill this piost
this guy is trying to incite something Obama looks like a fool

No thanks. I don't go for
fantasy.
No offense but I'M OFFENDED
This forum is about Ron Paul and discussing Ron Paul [and sometimes his rivals] and about how to get Ron Paul elected.
Feel the need to discuss Obama? Then go to the Obama forums.
There are PLENTY of Ron Paul issues that NEED to be discussed and that IS what this forum is for.
Wrong
Be democratic. Not allowing people on this forum to discuss other candidates should be welcomed.
You must remember, if Ron doesn't win the nominee and doesn't run independent we will all have to look for the next best.
The next best for me is anyone that brings the troops home. That matters to me more than any issue, even the economy.
When is Obama bring the troops home?
2013,and then only some of them? And maybe just using nuclear for Iran, instead of more troops? Gee,that is compassionate of him.

No,Obama is not second runner up to RP.
And,no,this forum is not meant to be 'democratic'. Nor is this country. It's a Constitutional Republic, remember?
We do not have to entertain threads that are of direct conflict of interest with getting RP elected.
He Just Said In The Debate "2 Brigades/month = 2009"
Go Ron Paul!
I'm not watching the debate...
Only going by past positions, which evidently [and not surprisingly, have changed and continue to change.]
If RP doesn't win the nomination
I'm writing him in. There is no "next best". Sorry.
Don't BE
It is fun to watch just how bad these candidates ae. Theytalk about nothing and just reaffirms my dedication to RP!! So don't be offended!
Are you from the future?
Your post date says it's from 1/22...last time I checked, today is still the 21st...
And no, I have no interest in watching the Democratic debate. I'm familiar with thier lies, and don't see the benefit of subjecting myself to more of them.
From The Future
Yes, indeed I am from the future. Ron Paul raised just over 2 million yesterday, was a good day.
Oh, and Bush is going to invade Iran.
Obama = empty suit
and manufactured candidate in the press. People don't know what he stands for because he stands for nothing. He's the celeb candidate, so that when all else fails they will have a willing puppet in there.... they do not underestimate the stupidity of the public... all those women swooning over him, so stupid!

I love how Obama voting "Present" on Iran is "taking a stand"
I may be a vegetarian, but I'll defend to the death my right to eat pork!
Yes
It is horrible. They have no clue. Universal Health Care...OMG how they going to pay for that.
Clinton said that she would start pulling troops out within 60 days...then backed way off explaining it is a difficult situation blah blah blah, and then said "We Can't just pull out." Does it ever end.
Edwards cornered them. Edwards said will you bring them home within 1 year. He wants a commitment.
Rebuttle.....
Obama answer...maybe 2009. Must create stable gov't first! LOL then blah blah blah...
Clintons answer "I will move them out as fast as possible." "Bush might try and bind US gov't and successor to Iraq forever, I oppose this."
They all need to talk to Ron Paul!
My favorite Obama supporter reaction
Whenever I come across a die hard Obama supporter they are SHOCKED to find out he wants to keep the troops in Iraq; shocked that he won't take the nuclear option off the table with Iran; shocked that he hasn't come out against H.R. 1955: Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007 even though it is in his committee.
SHOCKED and they need to learn the truth.
Why? Cuz they have no idea what this guy stands for, which is logical, since he stands for nothing but telling you what you want to hear.

yeah, i've had the same experience
obama supporters aren't the sharpest tools in the shed, but hey, at least they want "change."
Don't forget
Don't forget increasing the size of the military, intervention in Kenya, and mandatory 1 yr community service for all Americans.
A liberal for Ron Paul.
bleh
they all suck. they have no convictions except to sell us down the river. Obama being more eloquent than some others is just more nauseating.

yes, and it's pure...
...entertainment.
Just like Curly, Larry, and Moe!!
Yes, I am watching now... I
Yes, I am watching now... I hear that Obama is in his local Chicago chapter of the CFR... So although he seems to make the most common sense keep that in mind.. Also keep in mind he generally votes for most of the funding for current Iraq war in his Congressional votes, so I really doubt he would do much different... Vote Ron Paul, bring the troops home, save billions per year, OR else the economy is going to continue to circle the drain, spiraling to hell...
Yep Watching It
Wow, a real cat fight going on!
Oh its great they spend one
Oh its great they spend one year kissing our ARSE and then the spend four years kicking us in the ARSE. I think its ultimatly disgusting what about the working class. I can't believe they want to give tax payers dollars to the poor " Not paying taxes " and not to the people that pay the taxes. I am so fed up with this crap they keep saying George Bush this and George Bush that they have just as much responcibility as him in the war on Iraq. Also they say they will move them out of Iraq but are they gonna bring them home or move them into Iran.
God the media is pissing me off because they should ask them about IRAN but we all know the outcome Hillary is the Anti Christ and she will plung us into persicution and war.
