Good Idea or Great Idea?

Let's have a money-bomb to sponser a 30 second Super Bowl ad in care of Ron Paul. I think we could do it. The cost for a 30 second ad during the Super Bowl is 2.7 million dollars which is a lot of dough, but imagine how many people would see it and right before Feb 5th, too.

Great Idea

Glad somebody else thinks it's a good idea (read my comment earlier)

hi

Does this mean Dr. Paul will get a prettier color on CNN"s pie chart?
I hate that dismal Grey.

Just heard Huck is flat borke and asking staff to work for free just like Rudy, these guys will be out very soon

THOMPSON IS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Ah yeah, Thompson is out of the race, just announced. CNN.COM confirmed. Welcome Thompson supporters. Hunter and Thompson out, let the consolidation begin. Rudy and the Huck are next.

Many Ron Paul Supporters have maxed out.

So before we have any more money bombs we need to pound the pavement recruiting new supporters.

I went to govm't schools,

and maybe my math skills are lacking, but shouldn't $1,850,160.95 be rounded UP to $1.9 instead of rounded DOWN to $1.8? That may seem trivial but would sound a lot closer to $2 million, and would even be more likely rounded to 2 million by reporters...

ad's

In advertising they say it takes a prospect seeing or hearing about a product (candidate) *****9 times***** for the mind to realize that it might be a legitimate product (candidate).

We see and hear so many commercials that our mind has learned to filter out most of the advertising messages. Our mind filters them out.

Because of the saturation advertising and our mind filtering them out, they say we need to see or hear an ad 3 to 5 times before our filter (in our mind) will let us consider the product (candidate) as legitimate.

That means we must see or hear an ad 27 to 45 times before our mind will let it register in our brain *****9 times.***** Any sale before that is like a 'bonus' because of other things we have seen or heard have prepared us to be receptive to the ad.

We accept the sale (from less advertising) but cannot not expect them.
.
Ron Paul's name and message must be repeated over and over to others during this campaign to get him elected, and that is what we want isn't it.

Saturation ad's on the station that will broadcast the super bowl for 'weeks
and weeks before the super bowl is the only way an ad during the super bowl would do any good.

Now you know why that in spite of the stupid ideas the CFR candidates have, the free press coverage is making some of the candidates and their stupid message acceptable to some people.

The CFR candidates have already received (if they paid for it by purchasing it) hundreds of millions of dollars of free publicity <<<>>> from the networks.

That is why Yard signs banners and all of the inexpensive exposure we can get Ron Paul is so important.
Repetition, repetition, repetition, repetition.

It is fun to have money bomb days. ------ Watching the RonPaul2008 web site as the money rolls in is fun. ****** We want Ron Paul to spend all of the money he has on hand between now and Feb 5 and win some delegates.
To win in the November election will take millions and millions and millions of votes. Right.
we need 100,000 supporters to sign up on the money bomb web site to make a donation every pay day until the election.
$25.00 each every payday would give him the steady cash flow he needs to win this election. We want to get rid of the patriot act right. We want to get out of the war right. We want to bring our troops home from some and eventually most and maybe all of the 700 military bases they are in around the world right. We want to stop our government from torturing people right. We want to get back to sound money abolish the private bank that loans money to our government and charges us taxpayers interest right.

Liberty is our campaigns gift to the world it is our manifest destiny.
Freedom is a movement who's time has come. Our campaign will lead world wide freedom.

MOTHER OF ALL MONEY BOMBS - ONE MORE!!!

What about one last Money Bomb to send the message that Paul will run for President.

APRIL 15th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's right most of us will already have our return. Why not on the biggest scham day in America send a message that Ron Paul will be running for President. Not sure if this is way too late, but for some of us on tight budgets waiting for a refund this could work. Further, it will give us 3 months before the next money bomb and give time for more and more to hear the message of DR PAUL.

Either way, I contributed yesterday and will continue to contribute everytime I get paid.

Okay...

I'm sorry but with as many donations and comments as we get on this site someone needs to offer to do some web design for the money bomb sites... they don't look legit enough or professional in my opinion. If we want people to take it seriously let's make it look serious.

I'm offering some graphic design help... whoever did the thisnovember5th graphics and layout was pretty good too.

Don Luskin article on Ron Paul - today's National Review

Don Luskin is a fan of Ron Paul (see youtube) but I think he's a big tool anyway. In any event, this article talks up RP but then spends an inordinate amount of time talking about other people calling RP a nut. This is supposed to help?

To stop reporting M3, to drop interest rates in the face of $880 gold and wheat prices up 150% in a YEAR means that Bernanke is giving a fat finger to everybody and is going to inflate (and Ron Paul is a nut for calling him out on that?)

As for Don Luskin, he makes fun of permabears regularly. On 4/7/07 he predicted on Kudlow that short rates are not going down, when the 2 year was at 4.57%. Today, the 2 year is at 2.14%. Not only was that a bad call, it was one of the worst calls of all time. Listen to Don Luskin at risk to your financial health.

Gold still climbing: $890

And I guess that's just the beginning...

Gold is going up, and fast: $887

Or, better said: the dollar is falling like a brick.

ALL contributions are valuable!

I know many have stepped up and maxed out their $2300 contributions allowable. Others of us have gone the extra mile in our personal time and talents, to take Libertys' champion, Ron Paul, further than our money alone could bring him. I am one, who, while not having maxed out yet, wouldn't hesitate to do so if the money was available, but find that personal involvement in the RP Revolution demands more than just my cash available.

Commitments to my local meetups, GOP precinct responsibilities, canvassing, sign waving and posting, blog entries on "non-choir preaching" blogs, and blogs like this, etc; compete with time normally spent on wealth-building , church, and family prime-time. My money-bombing has been at, or above suggested amounts, but Liberty compels me to go beyond throwing money at our national dilemma.

I know that many less fortunate than I, have wished they were able to give more, but I assure them that ALL contributions are valuable. For those who hesitate to step out of their comfort zone, I ask, what is your liberty worth?

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Samuel Adams, (1722-1803)

RP Should buy gold today

Dr. Paul should buy gold today, so that when the market crashes, he will have money to run his campaign and everyone else will be bankrupt!

I like the donation during the State of the Union Address idea...I am in! Let's spread that idea around, far and wide! Hopefully, we will have a dollar that is still worth a couple cents on that day...

Ron is no fool and he is not poor.........

he has been hevily invested in the gold market for many decades. It is in his public disclosure statement. He ain't poor.

Liberty is not free, It must be earned!

Liberty is not free, It must be earned!

There is an opportunity to send an even louder message

There is an opportunity to double the effect of this money bomb by doing it again next Monday as George Bush gives us another snow job in his state of the union address.

http://www.stateoftheunion2008.net

While the timing of the MLK money bomb was important to get cash into the campaign before Feb 5, it was not as much an opportunity to make a statement as having a money bomb on the same day George Bush, the representative of the established power structure, is speaking to us. We can shout back at him. Rebellion in action.

If you agree, please circulate this idea quickly as the time is short. In spite of the poor numbers in the primaries so far, Ron Paul is not dead, and much can happen between now and the Convention which may be brokered. This Revolution is just beginning.

NEXT: RP's "The Love Bomb"

on Feb 14th.

Good Job

Right now.... I'm sure glad I gave yesterday, because tomorrow I may not have the money!

What percentage was new contributors?

This really is great. Ron Paul for the long haul!

Super Bowl Ad

Now Ron Paul needs to take this money and buy an ad for the Super Bowl (2.6 mil for 30 second)

It's not a magic wand

The money is better spent on walking precincts (the lists cost money). Besides, it's too late.

IMissLiberty

IMissLiberty

I disagree

Americans are very impulsive and I think the timing would be perfect. The Superbowl is Feb 3rd just 2 days before super tuesday so his name would still be fresh in peoples minds. Many people tend to vote for the candidate that they have a generally good impression of as they go to the polls. A superbowl ad would leave in peoples minds that Ron Paul must be a very serious candidate if he is running a superbowl ad. Ron Paul even stated that when his campaign was interviewing voters in NH many John Mccain voters actually thought that Mccain was an antiwar candidate. In reality they just voted for him because of the impression they had of him. A Superbowl ad would get people thinking about the name Ron Paul and be fresh in their minds on their way to the polls.

How many new donors were

How many new donors were there on November 5th, December 16th and January 21st?

All things considered

this was an excellent amount! Despite the Christmas bills all coming in, people really reached deep into their pockets to pull this off!

But don't let up! Keep donating! Dr. Paul still has Florida and Maine to look to, then Super Duper Tuesday! Donate more for "Long Haul" Paul!

A Moment In History

Ron Paul Revolution,we are at THE crossroads. We are making history! You and me are part of it! Lets keep the funds coming in for FREEDOM! Lets keep the Money Bomb going till Super Tuesday. DO YOU WANT FREEDOM? YES BY GOD WE DO! This Money Bomb does not end tonight but keeps going on till VICTORY.

The future of my children and yours HANGS IN THE BALANCE! Keep the money bomb going right up to the convention!

Great Job

I think this will be great for Ron Paul, and he can especially use this money in Maine. Maine will certainly be a dramatically important primary.

Freelance spending at all-time high

I did donate to the fundraising drive but let it be known we Ron Paul People are spending more on Ron than on groceries these days but we are doing independent initiatives to spread the word since we are unhappy with the tone of some of the "mainstream" advertising. Basically we are spending money placing local ads to recruit precinct captains as Iowans suggested. Better late than never!!!

I couldn't Agree More...!

and thank YOU Michael for providing us with these forums! YOU are very appreciated as well.
