Huckabee begging for $25
New email went out from huckabee
We are getting lots of emails asking what can be done to help. Thank you for your support! It was these emails and the outpouring of support on our campaign website's blog that helped us get pumped up yesterday for the days ahead.
Today I am asking you to make an immediate contribution of $25 or more to help us prepare for the Florida primary and the Super Tuesday primaries. After you make a contribution, please sign up for the Huckabee Rangers.
In the past we used the Rangers to raise money for our campaign in small increments and they have done just that. Thanks to the commitment of our Rangers, hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised from new donors to our campaign. We have more work to do. Today and tomorrow we will be asking our Rangers to begin making phone calls for our campaign. Initially into Florida and then into the Super Tuesday states. I am hoping you will help us make these calls.
But first, I ask that you make a contribution of $25 or more immediately. Our hope is that in the next 48 hours thousands of individuals will renew their support to our campaign with an immediate contribution. We are busy planning our television advertising for Florida and the Super Tuesday states and we need to be able to gauge our resources. We are cutting expenses to make more dollars available for voter outreach and advertising but we need to dramatically boost our resources over the next 48 hours.
Will you support to our campaign with a contribution of $25 or more? We are counting on your support.
With deep gratitude,
.

Pathetic his joking about passing the plate at the debate...
At least he is sending an email to his supporters this time instead of begging again on TV.
matching funds?
anybody know if this assclown took matching funds?
Doesn't matter right now - matching funds were locked out by the
democrats political maneuvering.

I dont understand all of the langauge used by Huck and his supporters that sounds like military terms.....
Hucks Rangers
Hucks Army (his forum site)
And I am sure there are others.
Does anyone else get the feeling that they are militant?
Just curious
chuck norris
wasn't chuck norris a texas ranger - maybe they're playing off that???
That, and Huck thinks he's
That, and Huck thinks he's on an apocylyptic crusade.
Well...
Well, we have money "bombs" so we can't talk too much :)
LOL!!!
And how do you feel about all the "BOMBS" around this place?
touche
LOL
Sounds juvenile to me, but
I haven't been to his site, so I didn't know about the 'Army' thing.
I was laughing my rear off thinking it sounded like some kiddie-cowboy/boyscout kind of title until I read your comment.
I was thinking "Gee, Cap'n Huck, for $50 bucks can I have the secret decoder spy ring, too, like the prize in the cereal box? Pleeease, Cap'n Huck?"
Actually around here I joked that after joining the local GOP
I was still waiting for my "secret decoder ring" that would allow me access to party meetings and stuff.
But there's a long history of this... BushCo had "Rangers" and etc, so I'm sure part of it is a play off of that.
RonPaul meetups aren't immune to this kind of thing, a lot of meetups have chosen "odd" titles for various members (i.e. "Uber Patriot" etc.)
But yeah, the Huck gang DOES seem especially fond of the "Army" theme -- though methinks most of them wouldn't make it through the first day of Basic.
All of the evangelical churches I've ever been to
All of the evangelical churches I've ever been to have these youth groups that are usually directed toward the male youth and are called "Rangers". It's a church thing.
It's kind of an inappropriate reference for a presidential candidate to use (in my opinion).
You're comment was funny, though. Made me giggle. :)
It may be a Walker Texas Ranger reference
He's shameless.
Wow... completely forgot about that...
I used to lead a scout-like group in a church back in the late 80's and early 90's that was part of "Christian Service Brigade" (it was a good program, as long as the fathers got involved anyway) -- high school age group leaders all had military titles (which I never personally cared for, though it DID help breed a bit of espirit de corps) -- adult leaders were officers (captain, lieutenant), student group leaders were essentially non-coms ranks (sergeants, corporals).
