Bam! This is how we raise 23 Million Dollars for Ron Paul

The Great 23 Million Dollar Paul Contest.

We will provide the medicine for what ails. What is the ailment you might ask?

Why its that nasy MSM Flu...

Y'know, the one that's been spewing out bullshit to us all these years. Networks that have been instructed not to show any hint of Ron Paul. Networks that routinely slap us in the face with a pie as it were!

My friends, I think 23 Million is a paultry sum if this is what Ron Paul is asking for in order to combat this.

We should be able to give him 50!

How you might ask? Well, I'll give you a hint. All we need to do is look at the numbers. It is a numbers game after all.

SO.

Brass tacs. We need 23 Million, that's 23 with 6 Zeros.

Lets take a look at what we as supporters have on our side, and all of our zeros...

This is how we will do it.

We have approximately 1500 meetup groups. With about 90,000 members in Ron Paul meetup groups, this works out to an average of 60 people per group. Each person in the meetup group would only need to donate an average of $255 per person.

How you say?

We shall have a contest!

A Grand Meetup Challenge that will be bigger, better than the first Great Meetup Challenge.

Imagine if we did that again?

With the numbers that we have now?

Which meetup will raise the most?

Which state will take highest state?

We will put together a website, think NBA, NFL, or CFL. All stats, all the time.

There will be awards, prizes, tears. Laughter and Joy.

If we had it over a 30 day period, that $255 amount works out to $63.75/week.

There are many ways to bring the money in.

People could sell signs, take donations. Sell memorabilia. Some may have a garage sale.

Everyone has been talking about how this is an insurmountable amount. Last time i checked though, nothing was impossible with this crowd. We raised 4 million in one day, then 6 million the next.

Heck, we can raise 2 million even when the economy is crashing.

WE CAN DO IT!

Bringing together all the Meetups in the great 23 Million Dollar Paul Challenge will be event that catapults Ron Paul to the convention, and into the White House.

If you think this is as great idea as i do, then please forward it and lets get this thing rolling!

For whatever reason you can no longer find this post via the search on the daily paul!

I have restarted this post of the same name! here on the daily paul.

Also if you have trouble in the future this same post can be found at www.ronpaulforums.com in the grass roots area, there is a lot more activity on the ronpaulforums.com site for this project.

voters you know

There are many voters you canvased and you KNOW they support RP.
They are not active maybe but they support the message.
What do you think about "Sunday canvassing for donations"?
Go to this voters and ask them to donate.
I mean canvassing is always about new voters.
How about one day national canvassing for "old voters" and "new donors" ?
There are many not familiar with online money bombs, internet etc...

What do you think?

YES YES YES

Canvasing is a great idea for new money and votes!! hear hear!!

Do anything you can to get the word out even if its walking around your hood talking to people and asking for their support.

This is very productive and you can make a ton of new friends and at least you will know how people think all around you.

If you keep a mailing list or ask for emails you can then send more info on how to support RP.

and maybe just maybe you might find your lost cat thats living with a more political active family down the street :P

I'm in, but only if you promise to cut the bad puns

"A paultry sum"? Ouch! :)

puns

heck even our website is a pun! we are just that corny I guess.

www.pauliticalpress.com

You are making a big mistake with this.

Everyone needs to MAX OUT NOW!!! RP campaign needs the money now. Stop pissin around. Do you want him to be president or what? You are hurting his campaign by delaying! HE NEEDS TO HAVE THE MONEY TO CAMPAIGN NOW!!!!!! TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE. Change your date to NOW!

You ppl are more worried bout having fun with bombs and things, then having the most effect.

Please donate now.

Max out NOW!!

???????????????

And what my I ask are you doing to make it all happen right NOW? oh look NOW has passed and you have not seemed to raise $23million yet.

Should I wave my magic wand?

And how the hell am I hurting his campaign?

I think maybe you should have a close hard look at what your saying!

We have been on this for 24 hours!!! what the hell do you expect???

Can you do it faster?? can you make a database and configure it into a slick website in 24 hours? can anyone?

SouthSighd why are you not running Ron Paul's campaign if you know so well what does and does not need to be done? or better yet why don't you just announce your candidacy and run your self and dazel us all with your dizzying intelect.

Try working toward a goal together not critisizeing us with such weak logic

Its always easer to point the finger and critisize then to actually do something worth while, if it was as easy as you make it out to be SouthSighd it would already be DONE!!!!

...

Alls I was thinking was, the sooner we donate, the sooner the money can be used in his campaign. That equals more supporters by Feb 5, which equals more influence.
I am not saying that you shouldn't do this. I'm getting mixed signs about when we are wanting to donate--I'm frustrated.
Don't be so convinced that I was being negative. I was fed up with random ppl skirting around, coming up with random dates and other folks begging about some info. I just wanted to prevent confusion and make everyone just go in now. I was not aware that you were organizing with such complexity, and I applaud you.
I am aware that I am not running a campaign. I have only been suggesting that people donate as soon as they possibly can. There is no need to attack me or suggest that I am arrogant, and that I think I can do a better job than anyone. I never said that. Negativity like that is harmful to your image as a leader, especially if you are trying to bring together such a radical donation.
I humbly apologize for any negativity on my part, and plan to donate on your set date. Thank you for your efforts.

We must support eachother not criticize

We all understand how you feel!

I think we have all felt frustrated at some point with this campaign! that being said, the last thing we need in this movement is people killing the morale among the ranks! every time a good idea gets some wind under it...one of us starts criticizing the idea and it spreads knocking the wind right out of the sails. Remember the vote fraud thing and people started walking away from Dr. Paul because he did not contest the votes in NH and dissent lingered in the air? people in the movement seemed to have forgotten that demanding a recount this early in the game is political suicide always has been, just look through out American political history.

Now we have rekindled the fire but its taken 2 weeks and that hurt us!

What we need is to work together as one as best we can to take the necessary steeps together to achieve goals one at a time, together we can take the steeps faster and more efficiently beating anyone, this is how aboriginal tribsmen survive for thousands of years under such extreme conditions.

I sorry to have jumped all over you but we can not afford to let you discourage others and delay this project further...this one is to impotant to leave to chance and frustration and unproductive feelings.

I'm in

GO RON GO count me in. Let's do it 2-1. The 51st anniversary. 51.00 or increments thereof (51x5=255 works out nicely). Thanks for the post.

Canvassing + Raffle = Viral Ron Paul!

I like your thinking!

I have to check how much I've donated total. I think I'm getting close to the limit. But I think your idea is excellent!

Whatever needs to be done

Everyone needs to get the message - just put the $250 in. Better yet, put $2,300 in. Why? Because Ron Paul needs it right now. If it takes contests, fine. But how about everyone does it for the simple reason that we need to get the job done NOW!

I declare the MAX OUT RIGHT NOW MONEY BOMB.

This is an AWESOME

IDEA thank you so much for your wonderful mind! I am in!

How about Ron Paul invites

How about Ron Paul invites some folks or the winning meetup to spend the night in the Whitehouse???

Ground has been broken

Ok, I talked with Scott and his programmer friend and it looks like we can make a go of this project! My backend team is now in contact with the programing people and we will work together to weave together a website to raise $23 million dollars for the good doctor.

We are all doing this "Pro bono publico" !

This is an open source project and anyone can help out anyway they can.

If you would like to help out please contact me @ james@pauliticalpress.com

or Scott @ sl6886@yahoo.com

Thank you! together we can make anything happen.

The Meetup Challenge

Does anyone know an easy way to contact all the meetup leaders to get this rolling? Let's shoot for the first challenge to start ASAP and end on Feb 3. Challenge all members to average $200 by Feb 3rd! Anyone know how to make a website to track donations by meetup group? Can we use the Project/Event Code on the donation page to track by meetup group?

This is like a money bomb but more interesting to see who wins!

Chris, let's get started!

We are working on it now!

Scotto emailed me saying he had already worked on the coding needed to facilitate this project, I forwarded his e mail to my back end team and the word is "its a go".

I will talk with Scott Thursday night and work out the issues of tracking the donations and implementing the code.

yep .. times are tight for

yep .. times are tight for me right now but if I knew 100,000 other people were going to do this i'd do it in a heartbeat! IT HAS TO BE DONE NOW THO!

The time is NOW!

Bigger and Better

Ron Paul does not need the money by Super Tuesday. If you are following this whole caucus delegate craziness, one will note that by the time the convention comes, it's ANYONES game..

Anyone that is, that is still in it!

I like the idea, but RP

I like the idea, but RP needs to spend big money prior to feb. 5th to have a good showing for super tuesday states. Is there still time left to do this? Could word get out to all the meetup groups fast enough for them to raise 200 bucks or more per meetup member? We'd have to work fast to make it happen!

What if

We promoted the idea with our flyers, something like "join the Ron Paul Lottery for freedom". When spreading Ron Paul, we will invite newcomers not only to vote for Dr. Paul, but get involved with this massive show of unity for freedom.

If there was a simple phrased for the project, it could be added to all our grass roots materials, etc. iNstead of saying "vote for Ron Paul" we would say "Joint the freedom lottery", or something much better.

$23 million

The graphs require someone who knows flash. If you know flash, please e-mail me at sl6886@yahoo.com.

We've had some of the programming on this idea done just before the New Hampshire results, which sort of put a temporary kabash on momentum, but apparently everyone's raring to go again.

Please e-mail me if you know how to program/design with flash, and would be willing to help in the construction of this site.

Thanks.

thanks scotto for the email

OK Scott lets explore this idea further!

I talked with my team and they are excited!

Ron Paul Debating Game

I saw this over on Ron Paul for President 2008.

I don`t know how to post a link but is on the DP homepage.

I love the creativity of the Revolution.

Play it like a lottery.

Sell each ticket @ $100 each until you have collected 25Mil. Give back 2Mil to 200 winners each getting $10,000. You need 250,000 people to participate in this. Or, you can break it down and do it 4 times in a couple of months. This way, you need only 62,500 people to participate each time.

G W Bush is going to give us all $800 for the next bomb

They said today, they want to give us all $800 to help stimulate the economy..... Sounds like they want us to give it to Ron Paul!

Check this out!

I Like what jonathan had to say. Competition is good. States against states works, and it is not so personal, so no embarrassment to those who are broke, maxed out, etc.

http://www.dailypaul.com/...

Sounds like solid math

In order for this to take off we need to implement the contest side of it. Meetup groups against Meetup groups. States against states. That could work really well. We need a website where you can see the score. I wish I had the skills to put something like this together. I'm sure someone here does. I can't wait to see it.

skills

We have the skills to make a quick web site for this project!

Chris and I will work on that asap!

Great Idea

Meet Up groups can devote time to this activity, as well as time to their other efforts. It doesn't have to be all-or-nothing for one endeavor or the other. Heck, depending on the type of fund raising performed, both fund raising and proselytizing could take place at the same time.

For instance: have a multi-family yard sale (items donated by a MeetUp group members' garage/basement/etc. -- c'mon, you know you have things to clear out!). Run the yard sale as usual, no political banners or anything -- we want to welcome everybody's purchasing power. Upon "check out", hand the buyer their merchandise in a plastic grocery bag, in which has already been placed a slim-jim, flier, DVD, etc. -- place the RP media atop the purchased merchandise in the bag if possible, so they'll see it first thing when they open their bag.

That's just one idea...I'm brainstorming here!

Getting money for Ron is stupidly simple.

Just go donate. Now. Don't wait for a moneybomb. Donate for what you believe in.

The hard part: Remembering. Remembering to tell everyone you know or meet that supports Ron Paul that it is imperative that they make some kind of donation. Tell them how. Tell them it is easy. We do not win otherwise.
If you can afford to have a computer and you can afford to have internet service, you can donate something. Anything. $10, $5.

Keep in mind, only 60,000 donors donated on the 6.3 million dollar money bomb.

We have 100,000 meetup members.

We know there are more than 100,000 supporters.

Start talking!

maybe...

It'd be cool if we had a counter for each meetup group and the one that raised the most comparitively would win something.

Make a little friendly competition out of it.

double post

double post

I had a similar idea

you beat me to it! I have spent the last hour sketching on paper. I will post a thread called " The Ron Paul Surge". I would be interested in your comments. Maybe a combination of ideas, including the "state graphic" can do the job. One of the things I thought about was the idea of a precinct donation, coupled with a "sign-up" effort as well. Will elaborate, must type. Thanks!

Awesome, definitely do-able!

Right on, simple math. Let's go for it!

PRESIDENT RON PAUL: Jan 20, 2009 - Jan 20, 2017
B E L I E V E

Great Idea, but

The one problem I see is that Meetup Groups will feel torn between spending their time raising money or doing their grassroot efforts to get RP delegates in their state. I wish the 100,000 Meetup members donated $200 yesterday. The campaign would almost have the $23 mil.

Tracking for Meetup Groups

Use the Project/Event Code on the Ron Paul donation page to track donations for each meetup Group. Get the campaign to have a page listing donations by code.

Sounds like a GREAT idea!

Sounds like a GREAT idea! I'm betting Las Vegas Meetup is down...who's with us?

BUMP!

How about asking everyone to get $5 from each convert they get when they are out canvassing? Make up a form that lists each person's name you have taken $5 from. You can show it to people as you canvas so they know you are not just getting beer money, and everyone can post it on a website when they get home. Give the web address out as you canvas so people can see their names listed, and before you know it they are donating more.

**************************************
How to support RP's cause every day:
1. Don't use credit cards
2. Stamp your cash with RP stamp before spending
3. Take cash out of ATM, stamp, put back in bank
4. Explain to teller why you did #3
5. Repeat

Chris,

I love the idea. I think it is essential that we make the most out of our meet-up groups. This would be most effective if it was structured by the campaign and the results tallied on the campaign's website. Also, what if the campaign could offer a prize, not based on which group raises the most money, but based on the group that has the highest $ average per donor. That way, all of the groups would be competing on a level playing field, not based on group size. In order to track each meet-up group, the donor could enter in their meet-up number as the code on the donation page. What do you think?

Campaign

There are rules/guidelines with regard to how much the campaign can be involved with grassroots. A lot of posters here do not seem to realize this.

Okay,

but the campaign organized a contest for the meet-up groups last summer without any problems.

Campaign Control

I think the campaign has issues with workign with meetups???

It doesn't matter to me how we do it, we just need to do it!

Now you're talikin'

Great Idea!

Meetups Could Hold Car Washes

Wash and Win

sounds great. make it

sounds great. make it happen. do you know how to make a website?
