WOOHOO!! The official report will not be posted until the morning, but all the unofficial reports are saying that this is gonna be a landslide for Dr. Paul... and if no candidate receives more than 50% in the February 9th primary, the delegates chosen today will select the next 20 delegates as well... YESSSSS!!!! This is huge!!! PAR-TAY everybody!!!!!

Okay!! Had fun? Good!! Party's over... Everybody back to work. We got a nomination to win!!

Florida -- here we come!!

We could really use Louisiana!

I hope that the complicated system in Louisiana does not allow back door, big interests to slide in and pull a fast one. With vote fraud rampant, and nothing being done about it, legally, I worry about these backroom, brokered deals that leave Ron Paul out. But the sly way in which Ron worked Louisiana, maybe this is one example of how it can be advantageous to fly under the mainstream press' radar. I don't think the other candidates were even paying attention! Ron Paul is a sly old fox.

some news

Here is is folks:

Last Night at the Caucus

I could not believe the support I saw for Ron Paul. I live in the northern part of the state which contains an ecclectic group of citizens. I'm glad Huckabee delegates weren't on the ballot or we would have had a tough time because of the large number of evangelicals in this area. I was thrilled to be surround by others who were block voting for the list of delegates committed to Ron Paul. There were 15 delegates and 15 alternates for him, which was the most of any of the 3 candidates (McCain and Romney were the other 2 with delegates but they only had about 7 each.) We voted with paper ballots which is good. At my table there were 2 couples there with me. One was an elderly couple and the other was a couple in their 20's. I didnt know them but they were all block voting for Dr. Paul's delegates. I saw many many people walking back to vote with the printed list of RP delegates in their hand. I think we have an excellent shot at taking 1st here!

We did not win any?

What they are saying here is that he uncommited won all the delegates:
http://www.bayoubuzz.com/News/US/Politics/President_Race_200...

hmmm...

not sure what he means, I wonder what his sources were. We have people coming straight from the caucuses verifying Paul's numbers. We're probably gonna have to wait a bit longer yet for the actual results, or better information.

I'm pretty sure that the Ron Paul supporters

are the uncommitted, as to not be excluded from the process. We don't need any of them declaring, this is more than likely why the provisional votes are being checked.

Thats probably it : )

I was told NOT to declare Ron Paul lest it be tossed- sad but true. Those "committed" RP votes are likely ones who didnt get the memo. After the smoke clears I think we'll be in really good shape in LA.

I think

the OTHER candidates may have banded together into a group to oppose Ron Paul. I read something about this earlier. They might be trying to pull a fast one on us again. I wish someone could clarify what's going on here.

First

The first place I would look to move to is Brazoria County,Texas

LOL

I live in Brazoria county, and I run the meetup group here. Although we have a lot of support for Ron Paul, there are a TON of Bush loyalists here. And surprisingly, I run into people every day here that have no idea who he is.

But it's still a nice place to live, except for worrying about hurricanes.

Most UP-TO-DATE

I think

I thing the results won't be out until after 10EST

FYI

For anyone that does not know: What Louisiana refers to as a Parrish is what most of us call a County.

Thought I'd pass that tid-bit on. I didn't know that until I went to New Orleans a few years back.

Bad Luck to celebrate early.

Seems to me that you needed some attention.

Here's the latest....

http://www.bloggernews.net/113298

It's ALL rumor control at this point. Louisiana is an odd state. Be sure and read the links in the article on an eyewitness from the St. Charles caucus.

That's not the most up-to-date info.

That was one of the first pieces of material. I'll try to get a link up here with the most recent.

Google News

It was the most up to date on Google News/Ron Paul. Is there a quicker way? I'm all ears, uh, eyes.

Good news

I sure hope it goes our way, this would be a huge boost!

I would only start celebrating AFTER the official results

Does anybody know where to look? There's NOTHING about LA anywhere!
When are the final results supposed to come out?

"You take the blue pill and the story ends. You wake in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill and you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes. -- all I am offering is the truth, nothing more."

sorry i agree that was a little hard to believe- the email

On Tuesday night, approximately ten thousand Louisiana Republicans caucused in 11 different cities across the state. Those attending the caucuses cast their vote for 15 delegates and 15 alternates to represent their congressional district at the 2008 Louisiana Republican Convention. Results were tallied on site late into the night and then reported to Republican Party Headquarters in Baton Rouge. Of the thousands of ballots cast, approximately 650 were cast provisionally.

Before these provisional ballots are counted, LAGOP staff must verify that the voter was a registered Republican voter in his or her congressional district as of November 30, 2007. The counting of provisional ballots in the 3rd and 7th Congressional districts is not needed to verify the results as the margin of victory for all winning candidates is larger than the number of provisional ballots casts. For the other five Congressional districts, Republican Party staff members will begin the process of verifying the results through each parish's registrar of voter's office. Once that process is complete, the Secretary of the Republican of Louisiana will certify the official results.

Prior to the tabulation of the provisional ballots, the uncommitted "Pro-Life/Pro-Family" slate appears to have won a majority of delegates in all seven congressional districts.

All candidates who ran for alternate delegate in the the 2nd, 3rd and 4th congressional districts won after qualifying as there were 15 or fewer candidates for those positions.

probably didnt recieve the email if you didnt write your email when you signed in to vote- i wrote down my junnk email and that where it was sent...

sorry to disappoint

la gop released some unofficial results in email... im from louisiana so thats why i got it, anyways i was district 6 so i can recognize the names, looks like mccain's delegates won here, sadly. My father kept a list of those people and told me, "Now we know who to blame if this criminal wins."

ron paul delegates were about 40 votes away from being in the top 15

oh sorry: SPECIAL NOTE*** I forgot to mention that provisional ballots have not been counted yet... most of thhose will probably go to Paul, and the GOP says there are 650 across the state... seems like we need to wait for something official before this one's decided, be patient

I seriously doubt it.

I'm from Louisiana, and I received no such e-mail, and no voter I know received one. I have never heard of that, it's not done. I'm highly skeptical. Prob some one is making things up to discourage us; I come along these things once in a while.

It's Real

I received the email. All of what was stated above is true. We are going to have to wait on the provisionals if we are going to win a lot of delegates.

Great work!

About an hour ago I read some stories about Ron being all over Louisiana this last week getting folks motivated and educated.

I thought it was Lew Rockwell links, but I can't find them now.

Anywho..

OK here is one from Nolan Charts

http://www.nolanchart.com/article1357.html

Ron Paul and the supporters worked hard on this one.

to anyone offended

Its not the people of louisiana that are corrupt but its polititions, the people have stood up to fight the corruption.

WooHoo!

This site is the only place I've heard ONE word about this caucus.

Still - AWESOME.

When it comes to the main stream media on Ron Paul

NO news is GOOD NEWS !!

Good point!

I seem to forget that sometimes. Thanks.

Offended

Coming from New Jersey I'm deeply offended you would try to give credit for the most corrupt state to Louisiana.
That's our claim to fame. That and being 'The armpit of America"

NJ

I kinda like Jersey. Have been there a few times. They make the best Reuban sandwhich I have ever ate. Can't seem to replicate it. I'd offer $20 bucks for one right now, but I'll be donating it to RP.

Gotta recipe?

The only way we can lose is to forget that we are winning!

Holy Cow! My sympathies.

crackers4paul
I'm from Louisiana and if what you say is true, you have my deepest sympathies.

Mc Kool Kill

dirty jerz what!

nj is the armpit of america ak is fresh! ak=Alaska

NOLA site sucks

I used to live near NOLA and just checked out the times picayune site (major regional paper) and their site isn't even there. It's a 1 page short message about subscribing to their paper. I have no idea how long it's been like that since it's been years since I lived there.

Everything has been diverted to NOLA.com and even that has nothing about the caucus. There is an election 08 section but it only has MI, SC lol.

NOLA.com doesn't even cover it's own city's national election process wtf.... It's like it was not scheduled or ever happened. No mention of anything to do with a presidential anything in LA or NOLA.

nola.com is the Times Picayune,

but yes you are right. I don't even go there for my saints news. They are really bad.

louisiana wouldnt be there

If it were up to our elected officials, Louisiana wouldnt even be on the map. We may never get the results

If this comes out in our favor`

we have to see how they caucus because it seems to be the solution to the vote fraud issue we have.

Every state should caucus!

love

love

If it does happen, which I

If it does happen, which I wouldn't be too sure of, the MSM will completely ignore or or downplay it as meaningless.

Looks good

Right now the MSN home page's lead political story is about Huckabee pardoning Keith Richards in 1975.
If anybody but Paul was leading it would be on their front page

GEAUX RON PAUL!!!

I'll be interested in seeing how this plays on MSM.

Thank you Louisiana!!

Thank You Louisiana!

This is huge. If we get 51%..the world just stops turning the following morning...even if we don't...every word about this on the net says we definitely got 1st today anyhow. Great work over there :)

I was in the 7th district

I was in the 7th district and I know a little over 900 people showed up to vote for their delegates. When We walked in the door we were assualted by the joint forces of Huckabee, Thomson, & the Ghoul. We walked back to the table and it looked good. We have a small meetup group about 130 people but Shay the meetup coordinater made sure we were all informed. I know I bought 2 people so You can see we could have brought 300 people there atleast and We were organized where everyone else was in utter chaos no one knew what was going on hense the huckster+Ghoul+thomson aliance. I heard we filled the delegates and the alternate delegates unopposed.

Great work!

Thank you, especially for bringing friends.

THIS IS TERRIFIC, WE MUST NOT MISS ANY OTHER OPPORTUNITIES

We have the most organized grassroots campaign of anyone - if there is ANY OBSTICLE to Ron Paul we seem to find it and overcome it - this is what will get Ron Paul elected - I hope everyone gets a chance to read this thread because we must not let any other opportunities slip-us by.
GO RON GO
and many thanks to the LOUISIANA CACAUS GOERS WHO accomplished this for us...

you must be registered republican to vote for ron paul

missed opportunity...

it was said that we lost thousands of votes in Nevada because ron paul supporters did not know this. This should have been stressed repeatedly !!! I did my best to sound the alarm bell to all I knew in California, emailing, phoning friends, begging them to go to the post office to send in their voter registration forms...because yesterday was the last day to change political affiliation to republican before super tuesday.

but this does not take away from my pride, joy and love for the patriots of the great state of Louisiana!!!

All your base

are belong to Paul! :D

WOW they do seem mad! It

That was classic.

I love it!

The most corrupt state in the nation somehow manages to spawn a true meritocracy! (To everyone in LA, I am just kidding!)

We are on a roll! We must all re-double our efforts!
