This guy had a crystal ball! Excellent analysis on Iran, Iraq & the dollar
It's unusual to read economic analysis from over a year ago and still be impressed by it, but this article had me slack-jawed with how well he had things pegged. Highly recommended, including the editorial note and the additional recommended reading at the end.

Maybe I'm the last kid on the block to discover this article (it is over a year old) but it was so good I thought I should share it.

Have you seen The Confessions of an Economic Hit Man? Check YouTube for it. I think many undecideds would wake up if they saw it... share it with them.

Think about it -- we have just found Iran's nuclear weapon
Iran's "nuclear weapon" is an oil trading exchange where business is done in currencies other than the dollar. It's that simple. The chain reaction of effects on the American economy could be devastating. However, none of it would be possible if the USA had not imposed immoral monetary policies on the whole world. Essentially, the USA moved from a gold standard to a plutonium and uranium standard. The currency was not backed by gold, but by the coercive raw military might of the USA. The dollar is the world's reserve currency because we hold the world at gunpoint.
Ron Paul is our best earthly hope for putting an end to this insanity!

This is an excellent and enlightening post. I hope you don't mind if I use some of your verbiage to debate those who say Dr. Paul's viewpoints on such things are absurd.
Are you sure that's why...
...the world really doesn't like us too much? Because we hold them at gunpoint telling them they have to use USDs for trade? Because we go around overthrowing governments that don't believe in 'democracy'? Jeez, I don't know...
I mean, it's so much easier to believe they hate us because we're free! Heck, we have McDonald's, movie theaters, and credit cards! THAT's why they hate us! Not because we force them to allow giant global corporations to rape their natural resources, trade in increasingly worthless dollars, and requre them to 'elect' leaders that will see the shining light of 'freedom'! Get it straight!
P.S. It's early, I've only had one cup of coffee, and my sarcasm gland is working double-time. :-)
And then there is this pile of neocon crap
It's because of guys like this that we need to get Ron Paul in the White House:

look at the author
podhoretz is notoriously one of the arch villains of the neocons. my God how long was that diatribe. these m-f'ers are using any trick in the book to cover their collective asses. bastards.
But it's the WSJ
So it MUST be true and smart, right? hang on a sec...I have to go puke now...
