It gets worse
if that was a recent comment, as the new president of Russia is Dmity Medveden. I just scanned a People magazine of an interview with McCain and he was asked about what he would do if made President to deal with the economy. He said cut out alot of governments spending. I just wonder how that lines up with his never ending wars. More concerning was that the interviewer did not ask him that question. Just proceeded to ask him really important stuff like why he fell in love with his wife.

by at least a few months? if this is brand spankin new, then this would be the second time this year (on tv - that im aware of) which hes mistakenly called putin the president of germany.
p.s. mccain isnt one scandal away from oblivion. that applies only to people who are paying attention, and those of us that ARE paying attention already wouldnt vote for him with a 50 ft pole at the voting booth. Go talk to some voters that are actually considering mccain and listen to what they have to say about him. bring a lunch bag, you may want to vomit.

I heard once his speech in the german parlement, he speaks fluent german, he was in east germany during the cold war. He also speaks fluent english and I guess a lot more languages, a very smart man, but also a very dangerous man!

...lots of relatives there...and those idiot Krauts are all Obama-crazy! They are likening him to JFK and are totally excited for America to have a "black President". Of course, like most Europeans, they are ultra-liberal...and believe the crap they are fed by the media. Why else would they ratify the EU?

BTW, the worst part about McCain's statement is that....
1) He's either ignorant/stupid/both
2) He's lying that he was in Germany anyway. I assume he was trying to say that Putin (or whomever he talked to) was taking a hawkish, cold-war, tough-talk approach ("hey, let's bomb them too"--in McCain's mind). So unless Putin was visiting Germany, why would he have talked to Putin there unless he's trying to paint a certain picture of the "dangers" out there.
I know of Freudian slips and all (Mexican--Michigan comes to mind), but two in the same sentence? Sorry, McCain, you were lying. Unfortunately, he used the wrong name to prove his point

As a Veteran and a POW he has my utmost respect...
,But he came out of Vietnam broken. He was rebuilt and reprogrammed by the Neocons and now is completely and utterly Chaney's puppet! But thats just my opinion.

What's this? A knee-jerk response because the veteran was supposedly tortured once, and now plays on this "fact" all the time with the gullible public? I'm not impressed. McCain helped to block the federal government's releasing of information on POWs. He is not clean, he is not respectable; and don't blame the neocons for him. He is his own responsibility. I make no apologies for my assessment of him.
He has SAID HIMSELF that "Washington" changed him. Ergo, he is not a man of principle, but a man who changes according to political pressure.
This leads to another likely conclusion: Vietnam did not "break" him, he has always been "broken," a man without principle from the very beginning. (Maybe that explains better why he did so many propaganda films for the Vietnamese.)
People have such short political memories. For starters, doesn't anyone remember McCain-Feingold -- the direct frontal attack on First Amendment rights? Doesn't anyone remember the amnesty bill for immigrants that McCain was behind? That he thinks the "no child left behind" bill is a good start?
How anyone can believe that McCain ever had any scrap of decency or principle or even a smattering of understanding of the constitution is beyond me. And to blame others for McCain's own actions? What is he, a robot? A manchurian candidate?

I'm a Vietnam veteran too, never was a POW and never wanted to be that. I was initially caught up in all the hype about MCCAIN; not this time around, the first time around when he ran against GWB -- I gave my $$ to his campaign effort just as I have done with RON PAUL's campaign effort (actually I've given one hell of a lot more $$ to RP's fine outstanding effort). My wife also was an instant MCCAIN supporter; we liked what the guy said and I suppose we (like many others) got caught up in that POW reference we've heard so much about. We loved the guy and hated what those bastards did to him. We applauded him when he told GWB that his backers (GWB's backers) were oil thugs and oil gangsters -- that was great hearing that because we could relate to this as a real possibility considering what we had come to know about GWB and family.
THEN -- suddenly -- the next day in fact, MCCAIN was out of the race and giving his support to GWB. The same guy he had said had the backing of oil thugs and oil gangsters. What the hell?
It didn't take us long after that, the 'hug' he gave GWB was the last straw actually, it didn't take us long to realize we had been duped. MCCAIN was an insider, he was a puppet and we were idiots for believing in the guy. Never again.

He said he respected him as a veteran and as an ex POW. If you can't respect at least that what can you respect? I respect a lot of people I don't like, it is called maturity.
