This is how delegate votes were legally increased in LA and how we can do this in other caucuses

While the other campaigns didn't have a full slate of delegates, they were able to get more people to vote for their delegates by promoting them as a different slate. for example, each official campaign has supporters handing out sheets with their delegates names to vote for. In addition, someone gathered the non-ron delegates names and handed them out as the pro-life, pro family slate. Same names, different slate, still supporting their respective candidates. But who they support was not mentioned, just that it was a pro-life - pro family slate.

So here is what we do. At the next opportunity, we hand out our delegates names as pro ron paul as normal. We also hand out the list titled economic responsibility, small government pro life and whatever else sounds good and is true (unlike putting romney delegates on a pro life list) that way people that are FOR the positions, but wouldn't vote for the Ron Paul delegates get to vote for our delegates anyway. That increases the votes for our delegates, and reduces the votes for other delegates. Perfectly legal, and the tactic was just used against us, so we better step up.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend!

Wouldn't this mean that the freind of my enemy is my enemy. For the candidates that say they are pro life to ally with people who are known to be pro choice against a pro life cadidate is pretty bad for the pro life movement. If they do not find this to be offensive I would have to question if the pro life movement really cares about the unborn.

The Other Way

The other way is to get VERY organized and bring 51% of the votes! Go precinct leaders!

Why Wouldn't ProLife People

....be outraged? On the very day that RP (and I think only RP) was at a ProLife Rally and being endorsed by the premier activist, this "tricky pony" steals delegates from the "only" candidate that truly supports their platform.

Seems to me we should be writing to every website that is ProLife and asking them if they like to be used in that manner. Go for a commitment that they will vote for Ron Paul and turn that "tricky pony" around.

Correct my logic if I am wrong. Am I not getting something?

Beat them at their own game!!

BUMP this folks.....PLEASE :)

Hi Treber

Well I see you realize that we got screwed.

Moving forward, I think your plan is spot on.

If I can keep my WiFi workin today, I'm gonna research all the coming caucuses AND THE PRIMARIES (don;t forget them) and see if I can spot opportunities/dangers.

I can't canvass really, (offshore) but I can do these sorts of things (and have).

See ya,

Blind Survey - RP Wins

One of the pollsters did a survey of Ron Paul's positions without naming his name, and he won the poll.

Stick with what we love about him, and he'll win.

That means "bring troops home safely" "use the savings to improve Veterans' benefits, save Social Security and guard our borders" "allow (insert name of state) to decide issues such as abortion or education priorities for itself" etc.

IMissLiberty

Yes

I suggested this yesterday on DP but I was really pissed and blowing off steam. We definately need to be aware that they are not going to fight fair and play the game accordingly. I've suggested this as well for as long as I have been on DP but get ganged up on for being "negative". I feel to think/act otherwise is pollyanna-ish and we all see how far that is getting us. I'm tired of everyone putting the campaign in a "righteous doormat" position. In the end we're still a doormat (BUT we can pat ourselves on the back for being "righteous")and nowhere closer to the White House.

If you actually think this through to it end

The best slate to make would be something like the stay the course slate. The surge is working slate. Everyone would think there is no way Ron Paul made this slate and they would all vote for it. You would be getting them to vote for your guy. I know it sounds dirty but hey we just got our butts handed to us doing the same thing. They know many of our voters would believe that this was a Ron Paul slate if told it was. I would like to know if anyone was told this slate was a Ron Paul slate and fell for it.

If Giuliani was on a

If Giuliani was on a "pro-life, pro family" slate when he's neither I think it's quite fair to reciprocate.

The establishment better

The establishment better watch out, we are learning all of their tricks.

If such an opportunity presents itself again,

All RP delegates could be listed on a half-dozen slates, 2nd Ammendment slate, pro-life slate, border security slate, etc. That way single-interest voters could be attracted without turning them off with other platform planks.

thats the idea

i believe MAINE has a caucus coming up

Beating them at their own game? Sweet!

Why can't we do the same?

Have a pro-Constitution/pro-Fiscal Responsibility slate.

I see someone is asking

so here is a repost

Caucus rules

I am a delegate elected from my precinct caucus in NV and would like to share a little information of how caucuses work. The rules are different in every caucus; that's the beauty of our system, we can have rules governing how our own organizations work. The rules in NV did not require delegate candidates to announce their support for a specific presidential candidate. It became immediately obvious that the voters in my caucus precinct were not willing to vote for a delegate unless that delegate declared his/her loyalties. I think I made a good speech to support both myself and Ron Paul and turned some voters into my own supporters. When another delegate who had made a good speech, but at the urging of the precinct voters revealed that he was a Giuliani supporter , it became obvious that he lost some voter support.

My point to this story is that we will have to be flexible in caucus situations and think ahead of time of the possible effects of how we are running things. The move by the underdogs in Louisiana to band together in a "pro-life, pro-family" was a masterful one and one we would've had difficulty countering on such last minute notice. What we have to learn from this is that the Romney/Huckster/Gooniani supporters probably knew how organized we were and made plans to counter that strength within the rules of the caucus. We need to somehow foresee moves like this to counter them ahead of time. For example we could have made a much bigger deal of Dr. Pauls staunch pro-life stance. Our openness to discuss with each other strategy is both a strength and a weakness; we need to start looking into how other campaigns are working.

It doesnt look like it was

It doesnt look like it was masterfully done by "the people", it appears to have been done after-the-fact. It took 2 days for the slimeballs to piece together whatever they could to boot Ron Paul out of 1st place. If RP wasnt in the running they would have announced the results at sunrise the next morning.

Wow

The rEVOLution never ceases to amaze me!

It's a freakin' freight train fully loaded and rollin' down hill on ice.

It really is the intelligent campaign.

This absolutely HAS to happen!

I knew it

We really are the brilliant ones! Pro-Life , Pro 2nd Amendment, Pro Peace, Pro Bill of Rights , shall I go on?

I was just thinking the same thing-

Not only are we getting wiser and our numbers are growing each day- we will also follow Ron Paul into the white house- we will have the numbers regardless to flood congress with what the people want and prevent bipartisan gridlock. Washington will start to hear our voice- and we wont be called "RP supporters"- but Americans

We definitely need to be

We definitely need to be prepared if this pro-life/pro-family slate shows up in the future in other states in an attempt to beat RP again. They caught us off-guard once, they should never catch us off-guard again.

Great Idea!

Remember how many people chose Dr. Paul in the blind Zogby poll? What is the next state with a caucus?

Good idea, very witty!

Good idea, very witty!

MAINE!!! MAINE!!! MAINE!!!

Are we paying attention??? - this is EXCELLENT info to employ.

yup

bump -

remember how we won the position poll by a wide margin

when the positions were asked about but the names were not given. Thats the principle. People like the positions, but Ron has gotten bad media, so people don't vote for the man.

fighting fire with

fighting fire with fire...

great idea

perfectly legal

can you combine tally's from different slates

if the same delegate is on both?

the vote is for the delegate, regardless of what list

he or she is on

Exactomundo.....

That's how they did it...

so that's how they did it.

something about that just doesn't smell right.

Now that's what I'm talking about.

Do it!!!
