Stop "bombing" things
Is it just me or are we watering down the whole "bomb" thing? It just doesn't have it's punch anymore. Digg Bomb, Sign bomb, Prayer and fasting bomb, signature bomb, email bomb, ect. We are starting to sound a little like John Mccain. We should reserve the "Bomb" term for Money Bombs and otherwise give the violent sounding word a rest. We're creative, obviously, I think we can come up with some other imagery. How about at least using a synonym. Barrage, blast, explosive ect.

How about a: "Money Blitz"
to use a good football term.
Great idea, but if we turn
Great idea, but if we turn the playing field from a warzone into a football field, I think they will still cream us. We are little and most of us don't know how to hit. =p
We need to change the playing field into an environment our side can compete on.
I'm not sure how we do that, but I'm SURE that's one of the things we need to be doing.
How about a: "Moneython"
instead of a Telethon.
Thank you for saying that!
All the bombing and analogies with us being an army are counterproductive
Sheesus, let's focus on
Sheesus, let's focus on coming up with an idea / spreading said idea / watching idea blossom / idea comes to fruition. FOCUS ON RESULTS, NOT A SINGLE WORD, crap.

"coming up with an idea /
"coming up with an idea / spreading said idea / watching idea blossom / idea comes to fruition."...
Idea gets innovated. Idea gets better.
We know we can collect cash. Now how do we focus the cash machine into a positive message for the movement?
How do we turn the bomb into something that heals.
Ideas and words are POWERFUL things. I LOVE that Dr. Paul is getting the cash he needs, but I don't like that a bunch of young people are getting the idea that you bomb things to make them better.
It's subtle, but it happens. It's what the MSM has been doing for decades.
Dr. Paul is a humble, non-violent man. Why is our movement not adorned with those notions?
I agree
I do like the idea of giving Dr. Paul a booster shot.
I agree, give it a rest.
I agree, give it a rest. Here's my analogy: A child stumbles on to some behavior that adults notice and say "Oh how cute!" and then the child works it for all the attention possible until the adults finally ignore the child. Let's use the bombs effectively in order to maximize participation.
A shot for the Doctor?
How about a shot in the arm? Ron seems to like that phrase.
Shot in the Arm Day!
"Did you ever want to give your Doctor a shot in the arm? Well here's your chance! Give Dr. Paul a booster shot!"
Seems like a nice non-violent, non-apocalyptic slogan that might actually put a smile on a few faces.
We are blessed with a Doctor as our figure head. Why not use the built in marketing idea of HEALING?
As long as we don't pick
...anything like Huckabee's "Money Sparklers" in response to the RP bombs.
Seriously?
Money Sparklers?
Or a Huckabee Penny Fart
For God and Country!
Live feed Telethon
What about a live feed telethon. Call it a "Ron-a-Thon'? . 24hrs of speechs, videos, live recruitment coverage, etc.?
Good point. Any suggestions
Good point. Any suggestions for what to call the latest idea to raise campaign money on Feb, 1, Ron and Carol's 51st wedding anniversary? People really seem to like this idea - I think because it is so different from the last money bombs.
Honestly I think we need to
Honestly I think we need to get our language together in this movement.
Why are all our words tied to waging war?
Why all the bombs? Why not storms? Storms are actually STRONGER than bombs. A large enough storm can stop whole armies from marching. It can stop the waging of war. Bombs just end up killing people.
Why a revolution? A real live revolution is the LAST thing we want. We are in effect trying to avoid a full on revolution. I don't want to help bring about the second civil war. I want to be a part to the movement that helps heal this nation and avoid violent conflict.
btw, Dr. Paul's nickname should be Dr. Know, not Dr. No.
Words are POWERFUL tools. The MSM KNOWS this, so should we.
"Words be nimble, words be quick, words resemble walking sticks. Plant them and watch them grow."
Jim Morrison, An American Prayer
Good point
Dr. Paul's persistence and perserverence is such an inspiration and model to follow. It's always good to take stock from time to time and focus the mission. We have all been inspired by words and use them in videos and emails as special quotes that put the icing on the cake.
We are trying to make something that can withstand any storm or scrutiny.
God Bless Ron Paul for his tenacity and strength and humility!
How about...
SALVO [sal-voh]
–noun, plural -vos, -voes.
1. a simultaneous or successive discharge of artillery, bombs, etc.
2. a round of fire given as a salute.
3. a round of cheers or applause.
"PrayerAndFastingBomb"
Hi Ninja,
You are right. We do tend to overuse the word "bomb".
Wondered what you might think of a "PrayerAndFastingEarthQuake" instead of "bomb"? hmmm...
Daniel
Ok, I've got it... A PEACE BOMB
Still kidding.
Grin and bear it :)
The title of your post made
The title of your post made me laugh. I have to agree with you though, it loses impact when you use it over and over.
