Although, I would not stop there. As with any literature review on a topic, choose a few other reputable books too.
I just think the title on the main page is NOT helpful
The title if a mainstream person came here may feed into the Paul is a racist thing.. You all need to be sensitive to the fact that we have marginalized Paul keeping him out of the mainstream when people come here and see strange posts that have things like Hitler in the titles. I have studied More about Hitler and the whole era and the book is good but it does NOT belong here.. the posts I mean.. THIS SITE IS ABOUT RP.. GETTING HIM ELECTED.. jeesh..

I don't think the church was misled. One of the Lutheran churches near me in Wisconsin preached that "the event, of soldiers going into Baghdad, was like Jesus going into Jerusalem on Easter Sunday!" NOT! i.e. the preachers in today's churches salivate over pensions and power, etc..., just like the rest of us and play the game to get them.

I am just about complete with this book. There is another out there titled Ominous Parallels by Leonard Peikoff that is outstanding. Here is an excerpt from Baldwins article:

Relax. Don't take the book out of context if you've not read it.
I am reading this book right now. It is not a hateful, racist book.
It was written by a well-known, well respected, very sane, very smart Christian man. It was published by a Christian publishing house, and it is very well regarded by many Christians.
I am a Christian, and I think that all evangelicals should read this book.
The author does not accuse anyone of anything in this book. The book is about the complicity of SOME churches and SOME church members with Nazism, mostly due to ignorance of theology and patriotism gone asunder.
It was written by a Christian as a warning to modern-day Christians not to fall for the same stuff today. If more evangelicals read this book, they'd stop worshipping the state.

It is imperative that RP supporters understand that the majority of the 'christian' church today--the 501C3 businesses---have become just that--a business...licensed by the state---and controlled by a CEO...er...'pastor.' ---uh...dictator.
This is necessary to understand the Huckabees, and those like him, who aspire to political and social power. RP may not have known how accurate he was with his fascism wearing a flag and cross comment.
Hitler wrapped his ideology, literally, in the cross of Christ. Many believed him to be their god-sent man for the time.

It is disconserting for older folks like my mother whos relieves died in camps.. After hearing all the racism claims they come here to see a post about Hitler they get turned off immediatly.. I just think this thing does not help Paul get elected.. the info is good but the title..

I recently went to a Lutheran Church and the pastor painted a picture that all the people in attendance were saved and prayed that-- as a church, we could take the message of salvation out into the secular community.
my question-- and I didn't ask this one to the congregation, is: if christians believe that Christ was human, why do they paint themselves as superhuman?

I think that this loss of support would cut both ways;
i.e. hitler was a product of his culture; today, christians see themselves as "above culture" and "knowledgeable about heaven"-- what lies!
perhaps that's why they don't seem to care about the palestinians who, as a people, are starving and flocking to egypt for food; so, based on what I've read and seen, christians would prefer that, like the native americans, palestinians would just die off.
I have more respect for hitler since he was brave enough to be honest about his ambitions; most christians-- my opinion, don't have this sort of courage.

the first time I saw the latest image of huckabee-- on his website, I thought he was a doctor since the button, creased shirt and tie looked like a stethoscope. so huckabee keeps creating images that lead to false conclusions.
i.e. if the button was over his heart-- not his lungs, then maybe I'd believe differently!

Non-religious. I'm not trying to alienate the Christian supporters. I am more trying to target the Huckster's supporters lurking around. The point of this is that there were Christians during the Hitler period who discern the deception and was fighting it, but as history has shown, it was not to be.
So are we here RP supporters, discerning, thoughtful and informed. Are we to let this nation sink?
