I went to the link because the ad was so vague.
It challenged me, asked if I was strong enough.
Of course I'm strong enough, so I clicked it.
I'll miss seeing it. (KIDDING). It really didn't matter to me in the least since I always look on the right border of the screen for the new forum posts anyway and don't pay much attention to the ads. I've seen much worse. It didn't even show any body parts. I have seen more than that on primetime television on those drama shows when they have somebody's butt showing. Anyway, i'm glad it's gone since it was obviously offending people.
I was not offended by the nude/naked/buff/whatever guy. I wish I had his physique ;-) But that's not the point. We are representing Ron Paul, not our own personal prejudices and phobias. A story from the trenches: On Monday King Day I was out canvassing for Ron Paul. Came across an elderly lady. Was friendly until I told her I was representing Ron Paul. Then she practically slammed her door in my face and told me to get lost. I asked why. She said she'd been favorable to Ron Paul until she saw "Pimping for Ron Paul" on the TV. Said there was no way she'd associate with pimps! Silly? Maybe. Prudish? Definitely. Nevertheless, one vote for Ron Paul flushed down the whatever. Probably more--she's not the only little old lady/evangelical/Mormon out there---and they are among the most active VOTER demographics. Thanks a lot Pimps--I hope you enjoyed yourselves.
So--did putting the buff nude/whatever guy on DailyPaul REALLY contribute to Dr. Paul's message,or might it have turned off more than one first-time "prudish" visitor? Hmmm.... Maybe we should start another website-- Nudes4Paul or something--but not this general public interface one.
The dialy dose is much better, moderated, and has 100% relevant info that the grass roots can spread around the net and thus spreading the message.
95% of the post are mental masturbation and nothing more. they sap energy and don't accomplish squat. The money donated to upgrade could have been given to the campaing.

I pump iron in the nude often because I have the luxury of having a gym in my home(foreclosure is ending that luxury however). But I wouldn't put a pic of it on this website.
I don't think it was any big deal though other than the fact it just seemed out of place and may have turned off some people distracting from the purpose of this website.
