I got sucked into this EXACT rumor months ago. I think even the same place. Don't believe it unless you see it on youtube or somebody shows you the video. Go to the foo fighters forum and search for ron paul posts in their political section.
This is a waste of time. I spent a couple days earlier this year on the main foo fighters board with long-time fans. None of them have any idea about this and they were pretty pissed that so many interlopers came on their boards spamming about Ron Paul--said it wasn't the way to get anything done, plus people who went to all types of shows never heard anything political. He campaigned for Kerry, so I assume he is political, I'm just not sure where this rumor has come from and I don't think he'll do it.
I think this is a very good idea - maybe everyone can email him and thank him for being a voice for Ron Paul. Bands like this really talk to our younger generations and it's good to see a band that backs Freedom.
Makes me miss Cobain so much, I simply couldn't imagine what Cobain would do to futher revolutionize the industry. Personally I think Courtney Love had to do something with his 'suicide'. I know Cobain would be pissed at how mainstream the Foo Fighters have become.
Although, maybe it's just the image and Grohl is still a rebel at heart too.
I know Cobain would probably not necessarily care about politics, but would be a fan of Paul.

My son went to a Foo Fighters concert last night and the lead singer asked the crowd who they were voting for in the election. The lead singer said he was voting for Ron Paul and after the concert they handed out Ron Paul Info to the crowd as they were leaving. HELL YES!! Everyone give a shout to the Foo Fighters
I've emailed them asking for their support as well...I'd love for this site to get more traffic and supporters, i just finished reading google magic formula so i'm going to help any way i can getting traffic here so people can maybe open their eyes to whats going on.
Remember when Nirvana made the cover of The Rolling Stones and Kurt Cobain wore a t-shirt for the photo that read; "Corporate Magazines Still Suck" rofl- if its the same guy he may just do it : )
but over the weekend someone posted that dave grohl spoke about ron paul at the foo fighters show in pensacola, and that they handed out ron paul info afterwards.
and handing out flyers after a show is awesome- dont imagine people would feel like (or physically capable of) hearing the message- but itd plant some far reaching seeds.
or a few more shirts and ask him if he would be kind enough to wear it at the Grammy's and give some to his friends. If he wears it, that's great. If not, we understand. Hey, we tried.

All this Grohl talk

It would be cool
if he wore the shirt - kids pay attention to stuff like that. He's a voice that could get a lot of otherwise non voting young people to listen.
I just emailed Foo Fighters.

Cool, I hope he is a supporter...
