Why Is This Video Not on the Front Page of Daily Paul?
Everyone in the campaign should be able to know about it and watch this wonderful video that Ron Paul (our leader) has made specifically for us to see and know what is going on in the campaign. It should definately be on the front page.
It should be easily accessable on the official Ron Paul website too.

I know he's gaining supporters on a daily basis so I really don't think he has to worry about the supporters dropping off. And as long as he's gaining supporters daily and the grassroots continue...The money will be there. He stated a few times He's in it til the end...I interpret that as worse case scenario he doesn't get the GOP Nomination I'm sure he's gonna continue on as long as us Supporters don't let him down...Let's Get 'R Done!!!
I personally am convinced he's going to get the GOP Nomination...Donate People. Let's get Ron Paul into the White House.

It was so important to get this feedback. I wonder why we aren't getting the donations, though. I know there are many that have postChristmas bills and are donating money to their canvassing efforts locally. Local canvassing efforts are expensive, too. That is not factored in. But, hopefully we will get more money to the campaign soon as they certain need it!

Donations are down because confidence in the campaign is down...
It's the "market" speaking in the same way that it does for individual stocks.
People donate more when they have a high level of confidence that the money will be well-spent and a will achieve the results that they desire. Absent any evidence of solid results from previous investments, and the donations begin to level off and then drop. (They can be boosted occasionally and slightly by major "appeals" in the form of emails, and now this video should boost it a bit more -- though they will have to send an email out with a link to the video and not simply leave it "buried" on a YouTube channel that people don't check very often.)
The only way to REALLY turn that around is for people to begin seeing significant VALUE being produced by their donations to the campaign -- which in absence of actual "major" electoral results, means providing more specific information on exactly WHAT is being done or planned. (And with the perception that previous TV ads were lower quality and ineffectual, the statement that more of the same are coming is insufficient; the quality issue has to be addressed as well.)
This is all basic business and campaign economics, and is like the "law of gravity" -- you can defy it for a short period of time, but eventually gravity will bring you back to the ground, one way or another.

I've dealt with those exact feelings myself. After NH and also the extremely poorly produced ads, I wondered if the opportunity afforded by $20 million had been squandered by people not up to the job.
The efforts in Nevada and Louisiana helped rekindle a bit of optimism and the appointments of Schiff and Luskin this week added more. I am yet to be impressed with the overall operations of NHQ. Sometimes friends of the candidate make him/her feel more comfortable, but doesn't mean they are the best ones for the task at hand.
Even this video -- Dr. Paul is eloquent and it is always inspiring to listen to him. Yet, as you noted, it needs to be promoted other than on the youtube channel. I believe they have done this as I received an email directing me there.
I was again disappointed, though by the production quality/direction (I believe this to be the campaign's continuing major weakness and it shouldn't be with all the independent talent out there who have made their own ads). Notice all those close-ups of the supporters in the room? Who the heck were they, why were they even in the room, why are we cutting to their close-ups? They say nothing, they are not introduced by Dr. Paul. If you're going to have a "fireside chat", you can't have 10 other unidentified people in the room! This is Film School 101. I hope this is not the sort of production we can be expecting more of. All that needed doing was ONE LINE from RP, "I'm here with a few of my supporters from HQ or from Iowa or whatever" and NOW it makes sense why we cut to them!

I agree with you completely. I love the video but who are the kids? I also agee that people will need to be convinced that their future donations will make a difference. I've sent in $900 already and am reluctant to send more unless Ron Paul can convince me that he has a grand strategy to win this thing. I also want to see ads that move me.

Nice to finally see this -- too long in coming.
It is nice to finally see them do this, although in my opinion it has been far too long in coming (and what the heck is up with the half-comatose youngsters and cutting away to them every 30 seconds for a "bland-brainless" look? This did NOTHING to enhance the video.)
It is also nice to hear from his own lips that he is committed to this as a long-haul deal.
And I'm fine with the fact that if he TRULY believes his campaign staff and plan are solid, he is sticking with it. (But it is somewhat of an insult to my intelligence to be told that this is something "new" when in fact it is a continuation of the same campaign plan. Because the two appointments he mentioned [as I wrote in a post here earlier -- the entire thread of which was apparently deleted because it wasn't sufficiently "worshipful"] -- are really not representative of a significant "change" in direction at all, but rather are promotions and new titles for people who have already been associated with and working for the campaign).

Frankly, the campaign needs every hand and the advice of professionals now more than ever. Super Tuesday will be the end of the road for Giuliani, if not before, and the media has already made this a 2 'man' race, Clinton vs. McCain.
Unless someone on the campaign takes drastic measures, and soon, we can never expect anything better than last place from here on out.
When something is not working, you don't keep doing the same thing. The message is fine, is just that the vehicle delivering that message is not being positioned properly.

Unless someone comes out and blatantly supports another candidate or makes personal attacks, they should be allowed freedom of speech, no?
I would think twice about telling someone we don't *need* their vote when in fact just the opposite is true.

Not another bunch of blind followers who drink one particular color of kool-aid or another.
And that means being willing to NOT simply take statements from people at face value, including Ron Paul.

As opposed to your own method -- "stay the course" -- "continue with what we are doing even if all evidence shows that it is NOT working" -- well, sounds more like a Bush/Cheney voter's method of thinking (or not thinking as the case may be).
(As for my "superior talents" -- be careful lest you place your foot TOO firmly within your mouth. And if you *arrogantly* start telling other people to LEAVE the campaign, there is a good likelihood that they will.)

I know they're busy and get LOTS of suggestions from the grassroots etc etc.
BUT
While I waited for the vid to load, I strted reading the comments. And as usual there were comments with the FOULEST language imaginable.
Ok, I'm used to that. I'm a potty mouth myself, so no big.
BUT
This is on the OFFICIAL RP YouTube site! It reflects DIRECTLY on the campaign, We're trying to attract CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS to the campaign!!!
So, picture this: a nice Christian mom goes to this site cause her kids mentioned Dr. Paul, for example. Now this is an official site, mind you .
And she scrolls through the comments and she reads
Hillary is a F____ C___
F____ing Huckabee
You are a C___S____
etc. (no blanks of course).
Oh she's gonna LOVE that!! She's almost gonna get involved with this guy.
I suggested in my email to the campaign that comments not be allowed on official sites. The people who feel the need to comment can do it elsewhere.
As an aside, once, last month, I logged onto the OFFICIAL Campaign site (JustinTV) and was treated to a gay porno menage' a trois!!
I felt like somebody punched me in the stomach! Not cause I can't take it, it was the damage that that must do to the campaign.

It is very uplifting to see throngs of first-time voters on board for Ron Paul. It is encouraging to know that the processes of studying the state of the nation and reasoning and deduction have led these young supporters to Dr Paul's message. They are wise beyond their years in rejecting the garbage spewed forth by OM. Hats off young supporters and please keep up the good fight.

Now that we have some professional ad people coming on board, we'll start to see impovements. Everybody that hears Ron Paul agrees with his messege (almost). The problem is that the campaign has not gotten the messege out. Just take the little State of New Hampshire......that should have been a walk in the park for the Ron Paul campaign to seize control, yet we barely made a scratch. Ron makes one big observation in the youtube article, this race is only 3 months into a year long race, and he's already in 4th place out of 11......and Huckabee will be dropping before too long, and then it's going to be McCain, Mitt and RON PAUL! When Ron get's the media's attention, his experience, messege, and honesty will overwhelm.........keep the money coming in. I'm asking 4 family members to send donations too. All new to the campaign!
