Re-Post EVERYWHERE!: Ron Paul Declares VICTORY in Louisiana!

To the grassroots:

We need to treat the LA Caucus mess like we would like to see the Iraq mess treated!

We need to declare victory in Louisiana (thanks to all the hard work of our troops on the ground) and get the hell out!

I propose we declare victory in Louisiana, get the campaign HQ to declare victory and continue to do so until someone "important" enough to get Old Media coverage complains about it. Then we ask them how long it takes to verify 500 ballots and how far behind McCain we are "unofficially"...

So we can get some answers already...

Spread the word.

"Ron Paul declares victory in Louisiana!"

EDIT:

Even Ron says that: "we may well have come in first place..."

Look at provisional

You will see in every district a grouping of the provisional ballots, the people who got a large number of provisional ballots are the Paul guys.

If you had noticed before there were 169 Provisional ballots in District 1 (I can provide the pdf to show this) the current results show about 60 or so provisional ballots have been added. WTF?

Been there, done that

Yes we've been saying all along that if McCain voters were allowed to vote twice, Ron Paul was the clear winner.

RP #1 in LA

Yeah I think we all know he got first place in LA. The crap they are pulling to stop RP now is becoming more and more obvious with each primary. Other states have been less than pristine when it comes to the integrity of it's election process but LA.... ohhh LA takes the cake so far.

I've been telling all my friends he got 1st place..

The details could be taken up with the ole media!

"The Ron Paul campaign today

issued a press release today noting that when all of the LA primary votes are counted and official results are released, it is certain that RP received more votes than any other single candidate." Ok, those are are my words but not bad, huh?

I think he needs to get mean

that is good

can i use it at will?

#1 in LA!!! YAY!!

Woooowhooo! Gonna do it! Let' s do this!! Anounce it to the world!!

I think the rEVOLution should declare victory!

Let's not 'quote' Ron Paul (except for his exact words) on this, but WE Declare the Victory. V for Victory

Of the official results

Official results are there but they are based on an incomplete count. 500 votes were left uncounted.

And tell me why http://www.lagop.com/ posts "official" results in PDF's called "Unofficial_Results", and leaves the following lists of alternate delegates out of their main page:

UPDATE!!!

www.lagop.com

The LA GOP has released official results. Please see their website for details.

Can anyone break this DATA down and tell us who won?

Does anyone know who was on what slate and how the totals rack up?

Many thanks to "Average Joe" for pointing out the update!

Does anyone know?

Is there anyone from the RP campaign that is actually working on verifying the vote totals and who-got-what in Louisiana? I look at the LAGOP site and I see names, but that's about it. Are they from the former Thompson campaign? Ron's? McCain's?

The Louisiana GOP sure likes to play "I've got a secret".

If there's anyone from the Paul campaign in Louisiana that can give us some facts, it sure would be nice to know.

Yes

Read this news item:

The campaign has filed a complaint.
http://www.ronpaulhive.co...

There are many stories collected on that site.

We are verifying the votes

We are verifying the votes right now. Our district ran a close race and one or two votes can make the difference on winning RP delegates. We are verifying on our own the best we can and comparing our data with theirs. The lists you see won't help you unless have the list of which delegate is supporting what slate. In my district RP got 3 times as many as McInsane before the provisionals were counted. But the slates that were introduced by the LaGOP after they found out how well we were doing cannot be attributed to a specific candidate. There were around 5 pro-life/ pro-family slates. Like PLPF and McCain, PLPF McCain and Romney, PLPF, PLPF Huckabee, OLPF, etc. These lists (slates) have overlapping delegates so it's very weird. First time ever done. The party even extended the time to register as a delegate over a month to keep RP from winning.

Dr. Paul arguably won in

Dr. Paul arguably won in Louisiana. There is no sure way to tell, as the GOP refused to count the votes.

1st place in LA and 2nd in

1st place in LA and 2nd in NV so far. Not bad.

No, Don't Dare Do It

Do not, repeat, do not spread a lie and rumor... you will be no better than the other candidates and old media.

Ron Paul said "we may have"... that is not a confirmation. Let the campaign make the declaration when they know the results for sure.

Don't undermine this... otherwise you are no better than the rest.

Undermine what?

What are we undermining other than a McCain victory in Louisiana?

I respectfully disagree

I'm advocating starting a RUMOR... nothing more.

Its gossip... just like political polls... and its based on facts

-there were significant screwups in the LA caucuses
-LA GOP isn't releasing preliminary numbers
-LA GOP says it can't count 500 ballots in less than a week.

I'm not asking the campaign or the Dr. to say that we won... that is what they have a grassroots campaign for. We innovate. We create the free market of ideas.

Yes, we do the dirty work... tromping our boots door to door.

WE, the grassroots, can only be ignored so long before we take measures, such as this one I'm proposing, and FORCE those in power to prove us wrong...

What are the results? Is it BAD to get a second place win in Louisiana?

Heck no. Its good. And we'd get numbers to see how close we were!

A win in Louisiana is only a win if we get it before February 5th.

I understand where you are coming from though... WWRPD? I know.. he wouldn't. He just would stick to his filing of a complaint with the LA GOP..

Well, I'm not satisfied with that.

We invented the internet! We can at least TRY to affect what gets reported in the Old Media!

Did he actually say that??

Did he actually say that?? Seems a bit rash for Dr. Paul.

He NEEDS to proclaim the win!!

Which is probably the truth once "All" votes are counted.

By Claiming Victory, Ron Paul would Force the media and establishment to report on... and finish the job of counting prior to the Feb. 5th Super Turesday.

Exactly!

He says "We may well have come in first place..." in Louisiana if all the votes are counted!

Wooooohooooo!

A win in LA!!!!!! But there not counting the votes? What is going on here?

The Story

LA has caucuses.

They caucused right after Thompson dropped out. So Thompson's supporters created an "uncommitted prolife/profamily" ticket.

The LA GOP sent its minions to the caucuses with party rosters through November 1, 2007. The cutoff for delegates changing over to Republican was November 30, 2007. This made about 500 Ron Paul delegates have to submit "provisional" ballots.

Unofficial results of the caucus (sans numerical totals) are posted on the LA GOP website.

www.lagop.com

The uncommitted ticket won, followed by McCain, followed by Paul.

However, the 500 provisional delegates may well have handed the win, in actuality, to Paul. The LA GOP is claiming that it won't be able to release OFFICIAL results until February 9th, 2008.

Somehow it will take until February 9th to verify only 500 delegates for eligibility?

The theory is that they also are not releasing the unofficial numerical results because Paul is so close to a win.

So, we need to declare it a win... and force their hand. If we're wrong, oh well, - the situation can't get any worse. If we're right, we get free publicity and validation - the DARKHORSE wins a state!

Get it?

SPREAD THE WORD!

Ron Paul WINS Louisiana caucuses!

Duh....

The www.lagop.com website doesn't show diddly squat!

Dan

"What have you done for Ron Paul today"?

Good call

It appears that they released official results, but haven't decoded them for the common man.

Someone needs to get on this so we can declare victory!

I think this would be an

I think this would be an excellent strategy.

Play it off like he won, because he did.

The old media hag will be forced to pay attention.

The publicity will probably be too much, and the LA GOP will cave.

I like this idea. They are

I like this idea. They are doing their best to ignore/marginalize him, this just might shake them up a bit and force them to give him some attention.

Heh heh heh interesting....bump

*** God bless Ron Paul ***
* Ron Paul For President *

You know I think that could

work. Why, yes Dr. Paul won it is just a matter of them admitting it.

Watch Ron Paul declare victory himself in LA

http://www.youtube.com/wa...

Its an official HQ Campaign video...

We need to spread the word to Lew Rockwell, Huffington Post, and then on to DRUDGE until it hits mainstream!

I agree

I agree. Let's make Wolf Blitzer question
the situation down there and shine some
national light on this.
