Man, that was intense. Good

Man, that was intense. Good for this guy.

It's hard to believe how many replies this got.

It was one of the most bumped posts on this board. Thanks guys.

bump

are you earning points or something?

;-)

BUMP!

Mark Larsen responding to our emails!! Check this out!!!

I am so grateful for all of the response from Ron Paul supporters. You folks are awesome!
I have so many emails pouring in I cannot possibly thank everyone. I started early this morning trying to, at least, send a "Thank you, note to all -- but I can't keep up!!

Please blog this message on the boards, so everyone will know how grateful I am for the support. I don't know where to start.

Sorry my show isn't syndicated -- the networks won't have anything to do with me. I've been on the air here in Tampa Bay almost 30 years. I was the first one in this region to put Congressman Paul on the radio back in the early 90's, regarding the Federal Reserve.

Yours in Liberty
Thank you!! :-)

Mark Larsen, Morning Host
NewsTalk AM 1040 WWBA Tampa Bay

Wow, this Larsen guy rocks.

Wow, this Larsen guy rocks. We need more like him in the media.

I wonder how he's going to react on this

morning's show. I bet he didn't expect this reaction.

Mark Larsen..How

Mark Larsen..How courageous!!
Amazing!!

Mark Larsen is a super guy!

Loved the interview! Thank you Mark Larsen, you have a new listener! You saw right through McChucklehead Rich Romney. Way to support and speak out for Ron Paul!

Welcome former Romney-supporters!

Run Ron Run! He can go all the way!!!

Awesome! Front Page Material...Spread this Everywhere!!!

This has got to be one of the greatest things I have ever heard. Mark really put it on Romney, but of course he had more important things to do when the heat got too hot.

This guy tells it like it is...and Ron Paul got another vote! I hope what this guy was saying was sinking in to everyone in Florida who was listening to this radio program and that they all went and immediately voted for Ron Paul!

This was absolutely Great!

Ron Paul for President 2008 !!!

That just made my year!!!

That was awesome!
I hope that guy still has a job tomorrow... 8]

I was going to vote for Romney...

if he were the nominee in order to vote for the lesser evil, but after hearing this interview I feel the same way as Larsen. He lost the respect I had for him right there.

Write in Ron

Write in Ron Paul!

Liberty for Dummies

IMHO,

Voting for the lesser of 2 evils is STILL EVIL. I will vote for Ron Paul.

Chuck Norris

That's exactly what I thought when Chuck Norris said "the lesser of two evils" about Huck (on the Glenn Beck show the other night).

I refuse to cast my vote for evil. Ron Paul, statesman, has my vote no matter who is on the ballet come November.

ON FIRE!

ON FIRE!

Absolutely

Absolutely fantastic!

I was a bit concerned when I

I was a bit concerned when I first heard this interview. Don't get me wrong, it was great that this radio host was blasting Mitt Romney and saying Ron Paul is right and is the best guy running, but then he says he thinks Ron Paul won't win. And then I was thinking this could be bad, because if he says Romney is not worth voting for, but Ron Paul won't win, who does that leave? John McAmnesty. :o I believe he would be worse than Romney. But luckily at the very very end, he said McCain is just as bad as Romney. Then I breathed a big sigh of relief.
This needs to get out everywhere, especially in all the upcoming primary states. If this gets out well enough, it could really sway the primary in RP's favor. How do we get this out to the all the people who will be voting in upcoming republican primarys? Maybe print up a transcript of the radio interview(with links to the interview on the internet so people can listen to it and verify its for real) and send meetup groups to spread it far and wide? Any other suggestions would be great!

I think he became true to himself

I did catch him saying that he believes Ron Paul won't win, but he then followed up with him not caring about that. That he's voting for him anyways. Believe it or not, he earned my respect and admiration when he said it. To say "to hell with the odds, I'm choosing who I feel is best for the job". He refuses to whore himself out to anybody. To vote with honesty and true conviction instead of casting a trendy vote will gain my respect every time.

Perfectly Said

I absolutely could not have put it better, well done.

Transitional taxes like that might work

Isn't the 2008 budget~=
$1T(corp.+personal taxes)+$1T(fees))+$1T(borrow)~=
$0.75T + $0.25T +$1T +$1T

If we wanted to just stop the borrowing and stop our personal income tax and we've cut $1T of overseas distributions, then all we need to replace immediately is our $0.25T of personal income tax unless of course a new non-Fed currency takes over and then we don't even need that. Only Dr. Paul can transition this into existence.

Dick Cheney's Daughter Is

Dick Cheney's Daughter Is Mitt Romney's New Foreign Policy Adviser!

huh...

say what?

MIAMI -- One of Vice

MIAMI -- One of Vice President Dick Cheney's daughters is signing up with Mitt Romney.

Liz Cheney will serve as a senior foreign policy adviser to Romney's presidential campaign.

Cheney's father and President George W. Bush have both vowed to remain neutral during the GOP nomination process.

In a statement, Liz Cheney praised Romney as "the leader our country needs."

Her move will likely be welcomed by conservatives, who are a critical voting bloc in the upcoming Florida primary and on Super Tuesday.

The 41-year-old Cheney is the elder of Dick and Lynne Cheney's two daughters.

She most recently worked in the State Department handling Middle East affairs.

Cheney's younger sister, Mary, has been more in the public eye after revealing that she's a lesbian and giving birth to a son last year with her longtime partner.

Is he talking about a Cascade Tax?

I appreciate the guy's anger. You go man!

However his idea of a 1% tax at all levels is not good. Does anyone have a link at Cato to back up his comments? If I'm understanding his idea correctly, he's describing what's called a cascade tax ( http://en.wikipedia.org/w... ), and it's horribly oppressive. It's what crushed some Eastern European countries either during or just after communism... I can't remember which, but neither was good. It leads to massive price inflation which disproportionately hurts poor people. Because every transaction gets taxed at 1%, if a product goes through many hands before completion you can end up with HUGE overall taxes from beginning to end (the taxes are hidden and passed on to the end consumer through inflated prices). This encourages businesses to vertically integrate so they don't outsource work, and you end up with these huge, inefficient behemoth corporations that produce everything, but they maintain a competitive advantage over new players in the market because such a tax structure penalizes outsourcing and lack of vertical integration.

That Mitt Romney resorts to laughing at everyone he can't challenge in civil discussion is disturbing.

Meh

Inflation is caused by overprinting of money, thats the definition of inflation in reality. Might is cause a temporary increase in prices? Maybe, but probably less than the 10% we've seen this year. FIRST things first, we need sound money or at least less printing. THEN we can look at solutions like this.

Wow!!!

Amazing!

Absolutely fantastic!

It's been so long since I heard someone telling the truth in the Old Media that I'm almost shocked to hear the voice of reason and plain old common sense again - pleasantly shocked that is! In fact, I got a little teary-eyed listening to Mr. Larsen - how wonderfully refreshing to hear him telling it like it is! Finally, oh God, finally - please let him be the first of many!

Bravo Mr. Larsen!!

What is the coincidence

That Mark is on 1040 with taxes in the subject.

Sort of funny that the call letters have 1040 in them.

Don't you think?

The "One Tax"?

Does anyone have a link for the "one tax" proposal that Larsen was floating? 1% does sound a bit low, but if each domestic dollar changes hands enough times during a year, then the effective, cummulative tax could start to amount to real money.

Is it this,

Is it this, maybe?

http://en.wikipedia.org/w...

VAT = sales tax spread through the production chain... each step of production only collects tax on the new value they added to the goods. See Australia or New Zealand.

1% tax = 1% tax at every transaction through the production chain on the ENTIRE value of the good. Very very bad. Strongly benefits huge corporations that are vertically integrated. Crushes small, specialized companies that outsource much of their production. Disproportionately hurts poor people through massively inflated prices for goods that require many levels of production or many levels in the supply chain.

GDP

GDP is 13 Trillion, so just a 1% tax on final products would equal 130 billion.
You also have to add in imported goods.
To get to 1 trillion which is the minimum a replacement tax would need would need a bit more. But seriously 130 billion would be enough to fund the level of government Paul wants, but its probably would be much higher after you ad imports and all exchanges of money essentially. We need a hookers and blow tax, that would fund the government easy.

Not quite

Take plastic widgets.

The widget company buys plastic and pays 1%. You but the widget and also pay 1% on value added. Everything bought and sold has a 1% tax. The end user will actually be paying more than 1% tax when added up.
