I did my part, voting for Ron Paul, while my wife cast her vote for Mike Gravel, considering that Kucinich is out of the race.

The machines are still the same: you make your selections, press the "Vote" button, and the poll worker removes the memory cartridge from the desktop.

No print-out. No ballot box. No nothing. Voting into thin air.

Then I stood outside for several hours handing out Ron Paul flyers.

Not too much positive feedback, since my precinct in mostly Dem & African American working class.

My rhetoric was:
- The only candidate who pledges to bring back the troops quickly
- The only candidate who voted against going into Iraq
- The only candidate who wants to abolish the IRS
- The taxpayers' best friend
- The only candidate with a real plan to save our economy
- The only candidate who will stop filling the jails for dope offenses

Those who did listen had their interest piqued.

I've got a lot of flyers left over - need to find somebody in a future primary state to mail them to, no use for them here now...

And my "gut" tells me that the electronic-no-trail-no-verification machine tallies are whatever was programmed into them...

Just look up any of the youtube demos of how easy it is to pre-program them, or pre-program the central tabulators...

And on another note, I believe:

1) That all primaries should be held on the SAME DAY

2) That all votes should be by Universal Sufferage, not by Electoral Votes

Then, we'd have much more of a chance of seeing a government "for, by and of the people". We wouldn't have this "machete elimination" process which denies so many voters from so many states from voting for their first candidate of choice. And we wouldn't be draining the funds from the candidates with the least corporate financing.

Oh, well... What are we likely to have? More monarchy of not just a "two party system sold out to the same lobbies & corporations", but a "two family dynasty"... since daddy Bush started as VP (running the show) under Reagan -- 2 terms, then one term as prez, then Clinton 2 terms, then baby Bush 2 terms... so far that adds up to 7 terms of 4 years, so 28 years... and looking to 2 more terms of Hillary, so 36 years of nepotism at the service of the Military Industrial Complex, the Pharmaceutical Lobby, AIPAC, Wall Street & the International Bankers, the Multinational Corporations... selling out our Industrial Production base, debasing our currency by letting the secretive private banking "Federal Reserve" print monopoly money 24/7, never respecting the Constitution, waging taxpayer-funded wars on "ideas" (drugs, poverty, terrorism), encouraging the NEW SLAVERY of the POPULATION, namely having everybody so deep in debt that they are essentially INDENTURED SERVANTS.

Well, that's my rant this election night, as I get ready to send another donation to Ron Paul... with the hope that one of these days he becomes... hmmm... let's say "AGGRESSIVE" in his televised debates, calling a skunk a skunk - not just "hinting" at his opponents' previous or current positions and voting records on issues, but SLAMMING THEM!

'Til that happens, he'll appear like a "nice granddaddy one would go to for a different view", not a LEADER with... balls.

That one scene where they take the bad copy machine out to a vacant lot and "deal" with it needs so badly to be parodied by someone with good vid skills- an exact duplication of that scene but with a Diebold machine - same music etc as it was so fitting. This would be an awesome tool to educate YouTubers that these machines need to be dealt with.

My Wife and I Voted today in Tampa. We were told on the phone if we asked for paper ballads they would give them to us. When we got there we asked and they said they had none. So we had to use the Damn Diebolds. We feel like our votes mean nothing now.
