When Thompson was beating Ron

Looking like neither McCain nor Romney can claim an outright victory, they're so close. Looks like Huckabee and Giuliani have the same problem, they're so close, but so far behind. Nobody was helped.
That means all four of them will have trouble getting the easy money. None of them have announced FEC financials, yet, which means none of them can brag or they'd have done it by now. They don't look like winners.
This is perfect. Ron Paul for the long haul. He's the only one going to the debates happy.

the importance of florida
is mainly that giuliani will drop out. it makes it tougher and tougher for the media to ignore ron paul. actually if huckabee drops also it gives ron paul a fighting chance if only because people will be surprised and go who the heck is that? since they've never neard his name before on any media channel.

CNN seems to have counted more votes and they have McCain up by 20,000 which makes it 34 to 31 on CNN.

Rudy shot his entire wad in Florida, and now he is totally spent. Good riddance. This, in itself, is a major victory for us.
RP spent next to nothing there, which was smart, as this is a winner-take-all state, with half their delegates removed as punishment for holding an early primary.
Dr. Paul has already planted the seed that McCain knows nothing about the economy. Huckabee is self-destructing. That leaves Romney.

Iwould have been thrilled to help Ron Paul with delegates in Oklahoma. Just a shame the GOP never got back to me as to the location of my precinct. So here I sit still waiting and the meeting starts in 6 minutes. I am a little ticked about that!

Nothing strange about that. Tancredo is also on the ballot. My ballot had about 22 candidates (AZ). You pay your dues / filing fees to be on the ballot.
What is interesting is that the FL official site has Romney up 35% vs McPain at 32% . The totals were higher than CNN's numbers at the time.

4.2% of the vote is for people who aren't even in the race??? They expect us to believe that nearly 1 person in 20 voting in a PRIMARY ELECTION doesn't even know who's running!

Actually, in light of some of the other primary results...
