Yes, it is perfectly legal, but it speaks to the hypocrisy of the one who always claims to cut pork barrel spending. I can think of no greater pork barrel spending than using the Peoples money to finance the presidential campaign of Insain McCain... talk about a bridge to no where!
Whether it is legal or not doesn't matter. It's the principle of the thing. It allows people to see who these candidates really are. McCain is robbing the coffers of voters who are against him to fund his campaign. It says a lot about a person's character to be able to resist "free" money to further his or her own agenda.
McCain wants to run people's lives.
Ron Paul wants people to have more freedom (and more economic prosperity).
If this is mentioned in a way that people can understand it, it would be a huge boost to the good Dr.
Yes...

RP needs to mention this today
during the debate. Spontaneous support from public is one of the very strong points of RP campaign and that needs to be contrasted in a big way!
Hate povery, not the poor - Gandhi
Yep
We're keeping his campaign alive...Paul could take public funds too, but he never will on principle.
Non-issue. Perfectly legal.
Go President Paul!
Legality is irrelevant

This is an issue
How is taking matching funds a non-issue to you?
because it's the law
nothing illegal about it...not a "scandal"..
It may be worth RP's time to state that unlike all the others, he doesn't accept the matching funds, but other than that, it is nothing.
