Vote RON PAUL 2008
_____________
RON PAUL knows his subject -- Our Constitution and Liberty. There is no one else running today outside of this man that knows and can express himself like he does on these subjects.
I want that guy for President; where has he been all of our life?
Great speech. I expecially like his play on the idea of how our Revolution (1776) it gave us liberty unlike other revolutions that take liberty away. That this is not the RON PAUL Revolution -- It is our Revolution, the People. What a wonderful President he's gonna be. One of the very best, replacing one of the very worst.
I wasn't at the Seattle rally but got to meet him earlier in the day. He came over and shook my hand and said "How ya doing" and then took a picture with my wife.
This was a great speech, but keep in mind that whole area is a massive nest of liberal democrats. Washington is a divided state. Everything west of Snoqualmie pass is like a whole other state compared to the east side. Hence why I avoid that place like the plague.
You can bet they're gonna work hard to convert everyone to Obama or Hildebeast- probably Obama. They weaseled Cantwell and Gregoire into office- both liberals in a republican state. Doesn't sit well with the locals. We need to hold the line and keep working hard over there.
There's a lot of moderates over there for the taking; we just need to reach out to them and get them on board. On the east side around Spokane and up north, it's much more conservative, but a lot of the west side folks migrated over here, and in some communities McCrazy seems to be a big thing.
I'm not posting this to rain on anyone's parade, but I don't want demographics to bite us in the ass here. I post this so people in my state can tailor their canvassing strategy according to the native mindset.
I put this speech rates on par with Shakespeare's King Henry V's speech at Agincourt, Lincoln's Gettyburg's address, and Martin Luther King's "I had a Dream". A rousing cry for freedom, limited government, and a return to constitutional principles. Ron Paul Forever!

And no not like that. Took a really long lunch from work and arrived to the UW courtyard right outside the Husky Union Building about 15 minutes after designated time. The good Dr Paul was fashionabley late as well I soon found out. I'd have to estimate there was a good 200-300 people already there, more soon to arrive. Thought I'd get a bad position, but it ends up if the camera were to pan out a little bit, you'd see me standing not more than 4 feet back. Great concise speech, got the crowd wound up. Although it fell short of his estimated 3pm departure, regardless the late arrival. Oh well, very worth it. And much to my suprise, the family owned Seattle Times was too busy wooing over John Kerry and Obama to fit anything good in todays paper. Go figure right?
Toward the end he hit a note coming from a Person to Person style that I liked very much. It was as if he was talking to a friend. I can't remember exactly what he said, it doesn't matter, it was the tone that was warming and from the heart. He should do that more often, people would respond to that very, very much.
Hearing him speak is like a dream come true. And seeing all the people listening to him is another dream come true. Our dreams are all coming true, one by one...
I wonder why this sort of language/sentiment isn't used in the commercials produced by the campaign. The one concerning immigration for example was quite hostile. Just take the words spoken in this speech, such as "This is not the Ron Paul Revolution, this is your revolution. It is a revolution for us to return to what has made America great and that is for standing up for liberty and believing it. Understanding that it truly does work." and convert that into a commercial. It's is exactly that sentiment which makes Ron Paul different from all the other candidates.
The best "commercial" I've seen so far was the "community produced" one that aired at the CNN/YouTube debates, i.e. "Something Big". Though I recall the newer ones from the campaign at least improving.
This monologue by Dr. Paul is exactly why the msm (no longer capital letters) and his political foes are terrified of this man and his supporters.
He, and we, share a very, honest passion for liberty in life.

I got to meet him in Seattle :)

We were completely jazzed!
Keep the Pressure up in Seattle

Where is Ron Paul?
Someone asked me how they will be able to find Ron Paul at the UW campus. I said, "Follow the aroma of freedom".
God it was great to be there, I took the day off.
Would have been a lot more but the seattle meetup mailing list option is turned off, 740 supporters with duct tape over their mouths.
A historical speach for the ages.

great speech, great video
The message is just so logical...how can anyone be discouraged when these words of wisdom are being spoken. Truly powerful. It makes me proud.
I wonder.
