Bad news for Ron Paul!!

Change the tiltle to "Ralph Nader running again".

This is a wildcard year, and the more voices, the more likely the rigged corporate system will finally be destroyed.

That's good news for everyone.

Hell, why not a Paul/Nader ticket!

How many times has ol' Ralphie boy run for president now? Rename your title to Ralph Nader Runs Again, for the hundredth time. He's got some support, but its the same ol people over and over again. He is not an issue.

Ralphie-boy is running for the Green Party nomination, and that's being contested by Cynthia "I-slapped-a-Capitol-cop" McKinney. Either way, that's going to keep them way too busy to impact anything else, and you can bet the DP will work behind the scenes to support one their former own in McKinney to keep away nader, who they see as more of a threat.

But none of that affects us here at all, except that it will create a mildly distracting sideshow. The Green nominee, in the long haul, will hurt the DP more than us.

Besides, at this point a Nader run is falling into Pat Paulson territory anyway, just from sheer "here-we-go-again-*SIGH*" reaction.

Why is this bad news? Naders views are totally different from Ron Pauls. There is no way that they would compete for the same votes. All we need is Bloomberg now. Another liberal. This would break up the liberal votes totally. If by cahnce R.P. doesn't get the nod from the Republicans. McLaim is the candidate. There will be 4 liberals in the race. If R.P. would run on the Gold Party Ticket. There would be only one conservative the people would have to vote for. I think it would be a win win situation.

Gold Party was made up. But I think it would be a good name.

Nader has ran too many times, more than Perot, he's going to take votes from Democrats if anything.

RN would steal more votes from Obama and Hilly, not RP. THis aint a GOP problem. Nader is a socialist, kinda. RPers are NOT at all into his platforms.

I don't buy the term, "spoiler". I think people should be ablr to vote for whoever the heck they want. Spoiler is just another media spin term to negatively label a candidate.

It appears that Hillary is the person the PTB want in the White House this time around, and Nader would take votes from her.

Let Bloomberg and Nader enter the race - Bloomberg will get all the rich Republicans who hate both McCain and Ron Paul. Nader will get the extreme Left anti-Hillary / Obama votes.

Ron Paul will have all of his solid supporters voting for him, and the others will be weakened so that Ron Paul will squeak out a Victory!

Brokered convention

with Nader talking and that accusation of him being a "spoiler" was brought up. I like Naders response to it. By ppl accusing him of being a spoiler he said actually everybody running is considered a spoiler then. We're in America where ppl have the right to run for president and every candidate goes after votes. Not a big deal. I'm still voting Ron Paul regardless.

good news for Billary....

He won't take away Ron Paul votes, only Hillary / Obama hater votes. Granted, some of those folks may have voted for RP in protest, but I bet half of them will still vote RP because they are still mad at Nader.

Oh, where did Nader speak fondly of RP? I saw a parody article about him endorsing RP, but I couldn't find anything legit.

Ralph Nader running is the best thing we could ask for. Imagine the scenario where RP vs. Clinton or Obama. Nader will siphon enough votes off of the Dems to give RP the win. The next scenario McRomney vs Billary or Obama, Nader runs, siphons of votes from Dems, RP could run 3rd or independant party and possibly win the 25% + to win the election.

it seems like Bill Maher begs him not to run because he thinks he'll siphon votes from the Dems. It shouldn't matter too much, but I think it could alter the race between Hillary and Barack.

One way we can help is to write a letter to Nader asking that he endorse Dr. Paul and not run. He has already expressed his admiration for RP even though they have some big differences. RP has way more ground troops and financial support. Nader will not be able to compete and is better off endorsing if he is truly looking for a candidate who represents honesty and change.

Oh, brother. Here we go again. I think he'll attract far fewer voters this time.

Does Ralph Nader appeal to you?
More government, and more regulation as well as higher taxation would be a certainty with Ralph Nader.
He will pull far more from the far left than from Ron Paul's camp.
I think Ralph is unsafe at any speed myself.

Well, we could have potentially multiple 3rd party campaigns, but historically Nader doesn't get a whole lot of support and would tend to pull support from the Democrat nominee. After all, many credit (blame) Nader for Bush defeating Al Gore in Florida in 2000. Nader is a green party liberal more in the vein of a Kucinich rather than a Paul.

Nader won't affect Ron Paul at all.

I haven't heard anything of Ralph Nader running for President. Damn him. The only time he ever runs he steals votes. grrrrrrrrrr He's useless. I wouldn't put it past the cfr to have hired him with the goal of taking away from Ron Paul.

i don't think nader has confirmed he's running. if he does, that hurts the democrats far & away more than the republicans.
