your right.... I am 44 and can't get drafted now that i'm OLD. I do have a 19 yearold son and a daughter 14 and another daughter 11.. not only will they draft the men but they will draft the women too! this is coming.. there are currently bills before congress to do just that.. I think if Dr. Paul would start hitting this point hard it would help to turn the tide!

How our troops would be dishonored by being pulled out.....

Our troops had honor before they went over there...They will be honored when they come home...
There is no more noble sacrifice than to lay your life on the line for your country.
RP needs to turn this around on McCainsane and stuff it down his throat....by telling him that HE is the one that is NOT honoring the troops by putting them in harms way,in an illegal,and unjust war.....
I hope he uses the points of the draft in this MTV event.
Nothing will get the younger vote more than letting them know they can/will be DRAFTED for McCainsanes 100 year war.....

Please let HQ know. I have 12 years old, this is one of the reason I support Ron Paul. Also, another thing they should stress on is amount of donation Ron Paul raised from Military personals. He raised more money last qtr then rest of Republicans and Dem(Hilary and Obama) combined.

doubts about Ron strategy have surfaced , of course there are as many opinions as well as wishful thinking that he may be advised by his staff to approach his opponents in a different manner . I believe that over time his message has been plagiarized in bit and pieces by both democrats and republicans and now its originality is being lost on the masses. This does him harm politically because the voters who are tuning in late have no real way of ascertaining that Paul was first to expose the problems of the country to the country from his perspective in government while the other candidates were 180 degrees opposite from his views at the starting gate. Now that Americans have shown to favor Paul`s commonsense return to the old America each of them is scrambling to include a snipet of Ron`s message and claim originality of thought and timely disclosure to the peole. I have been witnessing this for months and have mentioned it on other forums.In one in particular i expressed the viewpoint that in debates Ron should ask his opponents why they are plagiarizing him even in the smallest degree when at the inception each of them could not be further apart from his stand. A supporter wrote in sharing my frustration but thought that people do know the difference and Paul himself doesn`t need to point it out himself. I strongly disagree. The voters have always fallen prey to the presidential looking lying candidate who usurped another`s message about which he never intended to make good , but it sounded good to the voter .Voters on average seldom begin to get interested early , by the time they realize they should ,they have missed out on who said what and when first .
In my opinion Ron should point out what some of us see . Personally i think that if he ignores this by the time elections come about Romney An McCain to a lesser degree will be spewing even more lines adopted from RON`s yet not intending to follow through .BUT THE PEOPLE WILL BUY INTO THEIR LIES.
This has happened before and can happen again.
Our best strategy in recruiting voters is to show the potential recruit this situation is ongoing
since the time the other candidates realized that it was not business as ususal in this election.
lets point out that dishonesty constantly .. it will do more than a thousand money bombs , about the latter let us not stop , but i feel that differences must be pointed out when there is an audience . Ron has that chance everytime is on stage yet continue to hammer in his points as he has done so far.

I wanted Dr.Paul to say something like that in the debate so bad. All he had to say was, "John, you talk about war for 100 years... are you going to tell these people to their faces, right now, that some of their grandchildren have to die for an unconstitutional war!!!"

I mean, yes, it's crude, but we need honesty to wake people up. They need to know that their children and children's children are going to die because Dick Cheney and Halliburton need profits!

Just how DO these other candidates intend to fill the battlefeilds without a draft? Maybe Mr McCain hinted a little when in response to his immigration policy being booed at he said, " I'm not going to call one of our soldiers in Iraq fighting for our country and tell him 'I deported your mother'". These are valid points you make Jack and could be real comedy-killers if Dr Paul were to ask the pro-war crowd to expand on where the troops will come from.Mandatory service in exchange for citizenship?, a draft?, incentive packages?, criminal plea bargains? They have all glossed over the issue- but the fact remains- if anyone else is elected they WILL need to get soldiers from somewhere.
