Ron Paul Debate Tonight! MTV from 6-7:30pm.

CRACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOME RUN.

Okay, again, No doubt that our man was AMAZING.

I liked the way that he did NOT back down or budge from his positions on the first 2 questions - Darfur & Health benefits for Women. He was sharp, he was firm. He did not tell them what they wanted to hear - in contrast to Hillary & Obama.

The rest of the interview he was clear and firm, talking about everything from sound money to individual responsibility, freedom, no handouts, foreign policy.

When questioned about the youth vote, and why they don't vote for Republicans, he said "Well you ought to come to some of our rallies!" He was really wonderful about honoring his support base and the issues whereupon we've adopted him as our guy. That made me proud. He was very careful to define himself as a different kind of republican.

I'd agree with what other people here have said on dailypaul - that you saw our education system at work tonight, with people in the audience, from NYU, Columbia, Rutgers, etc... So many of them just asking such asinine questions, that assume that the government has the responsibility to take care of us from cradle to grave.

Ron Paul was shockingly fresh.

I didn't like how the NYPost-techie guy detracted from the legitimacy of his results 73% - I will def. vote for him... "Oh he probably told his followers to go online and vote." HUH? Do you guys remember getting that email from Dr. Paul? I didn't!

I was proud, and enouraged overall.

If you listen to the youth, the questions they ask, the things that they are concerned about, it's obvious they've been taught that the government needs to take care of them.

How can that moderator just say if you want change you're gonna vote Obama? Ron Paul did very well and then the moderator said it's because he is internet savvy. Cobblers. It doesn't matter anyway 'cos Ron Paul makes the most sense to the internet savvy people who are also MTV viewers. case closed. Ron Paul it is then!

People viewing this have no idea what an education they're getting. Obama following Dr. Paul exposes the glaring disparity between collectivism and individuality. Between freedom and fascism. Between thoughtfull ness and blather. Life is not boring.

Actually, MTV's key demographic is 18-26.

I think this might be one that scares people away. While I agree with it, it's such a foreign concept that people probably think of carrying gold bars around in their purse or person.

How important is a candidate's personal experiences in deciding your vote for president? Ridiculous question.

Where are you watching this? MTV has a show called "real life" on right now. I went to the website and there's no video.

Dr. Paul did amazingly well--in terms of both his responses and viewers' responses via on-line polls.

Obama and Clinton are next. Keep responding on-line so that Dr. Paul's support compares favorably!

Huckabee is speaking.....they also have integrated voting while he is presenting his platform. This is so good b/c Dr. Paul will get at least 15-20 of his own time to speak.

Hey everybody, please right click on some of MTV's ads there to quietly thank them (or reward them) for featuring (or at least mentioning) Ron Paul. Paying attention to Ron Paul equals dollars.

Obama's giving Paul the finger, and when you click on the link Paul is shocked and Obama has a sh#t-eatting grin on his face.

It COULD be a preview of the general election

Too bad the audience demographic on MTV is largely under 18, especially on a Saturday afternoon/evening.

The establishment probably knows giving RP time on MTV is low risk for them, so he'll be treated fairly, and we'll all jump for joy over it. Meanwhile, his percentages don't go up, continuing the illusion that "he can't win".

Regardless, I'm still going to be watching. It'll be good to see the positive reaction I'm sure he's going to get.
