any update from today?

Will we ever find out how the other 32% of the precints voted?

All of these caucuses are confusing as all get out!~ and I don't trust the State GOP officials as far as I could throw them. They're being strongarmed to deliver against Ron Paul

Here's the run down.

Mccain - 22
Paul -14
Huckabee - 1
Undecided - 1

Here is what I found interesting.

1. no ID"S checked
2. some people did not have to sign in others did
3 During the informational portion. Mccain had 2 supporters speak on his behalf, 2 others tried to speak negatively about Mccain and were shut down. Ron Paul had 5 people speak and others wanted to but they cut the time off. Romney had no one speak intitially, then when no one would speak, 2 people spoke because they said they felt they had to since no one else would.
4. It seems as though all 14 people (my wife and I included) who voted for Dr. Paul also became delegates. So I believe we got 14 out of 25 delegates to the state convention.

So the guy who gets almost half the votes can't even get a supporter speak on his behalf.

Also Ron Paul was the only candidate that had an official campaign presence there. I was also told by a caucus goer that my speech convinced him to vote for Ron Paul so I at least feel my time was well spent

considering there many sides to this story, I don't know what to believe. Is there a link backing up your point and how come there is no comment from Ron Paul's web site about this?

The best way to use your delegates to create a brokered convention, if Mcain is leading by a lot then you would swing your votes towards romney and vise versa. We can create the brokered convention as long as we play it smart.

I agree. Ron's no dummy. He has been doing this for a long time and so long as he has some money in the bank he can keep doing this. The key to the whole issue is a brokered convention. I can understand some peoples dissappointment, but one must have faith in Ron and the Cause.

Think about Washington at Valley Forge in defeat, his soldiers starving and freezing to death.

Don't give up, Ron knows what he is doing.

I don't know if y'all read it, but there was a post on here a while back from a former campaign staffer for Dr Paul who said that we're entering phase two of the campaign? This is what they were talking about. The other candidates are campaigning on a traditional platform of getting their smiling, waving selves up on people's TVs so they can shmooze their way to the nomination. What's happening with our campaign is ingenious, IMHO. We're quietly building an army of dedicated supporters on the ground - primarily through the precinct captains scheme and other things of that ilk - which is yielding genuine support at the level required to become a genuine force at a brokered convention. We have more delegates than Huckabee, by the sound of things, but we don't want to go trumpeting it from the rooftops because at the moment the frontrunners are attacking each other and that is great for our guy. He can stand off to one side, deliver a message that makes him stand out from that crowd, make them look like the squabbling schoolboys that they are and quietly build enough genuine support to swing the nomination come RNC time.

This is founded on his supporters keeping faith though, no matter what is arrayed against them. It is a campaign of We The People, not one man. I hope that we have enough thick skinned supporters out there to do that - and I believe we do. If we can fill the precinct captains program with enthusiastic bodies and the campaign continues to pick up delegates where the other candidates are relying on their fair weather suporters to make a commitment that requires far more than fair-weather support, then I really believe that we can win this nomination.

If we do, it will be the most remarkable presidential campaign I've ever seen or heard of, and it means that once the nomiation is secured, we will have a network of precinct leaders ALREADY IN PLACE who know their areas, know their target audience and are ready to mobilise en masse at the drop of a hat. No presidential candidate in history has had that. If we get the nomination, we'll win the presidency. And I do mean WE. This movement has single handedly restored my faith in people - and it had been severely lacking, believe me. I'm proud to stand beside you all.

OK ONLY 170 people show up in Portland a city of 64,000. ( I'd say "liberal leaning" didn't have MUCH impact)

ONLY 250 show up for the whole COUNTY of kennebec--- population 100,000(?)

4,556 show up for the whole state-- population 1.25 million. granted 69% of attendees -- but that would still ONLY make the total an estimated and pathetic 6,000 turn out.

I'd say no matter WHAT candidate they choose the R party is in deep trouble in Maine...the only thing the R's do better then the D's is PR, spin and manipulting the press ..."vocal minority

After Tuesday it's all about us.

it is comforting. Also, I now believe even more important than winning will be how many people have been awaken to the crisis that is happening under their noses. When things get dicey we want them aware of what is going on.

Ok, so we've heard that despite the numbers in Louisiana, Nevada and Maine that it's the delegates that count and I agree. But WHEN will we find out how many delegates we really have in those states?? I keep hearing May is when these state conventions happen...will will really have to wait that long? HQ HAS to to have an idea what the total is.

Delegates are what counts.

in Nv, in my precinct we had 8 delegates up for grabs.

we(RP supporters) got 7 of them.. but 21(out of 33) people voted for Romney.

They thought the vote would get the delegates. that's how most of these caucuses are going.

Looks to me we were swamped.

Here we go again waiting for the total delegates. We never got a real total delegate count out of Iowa, Nevada, or Louisiana.
Now other caucuses are coming! We will never know those totals either.
We are waiting for a recount in New Hampshire.
The other states that voted there were no delegates....Michigan, South Carolina, and Florida.
Hawaii had caucuses today... Guess we won't know that either.

Exactly! The old media is in the business of selling lies. They manipulate public perception by making people think things that are not true. They manipulate, distort, censor and smear....but they put their agenda on spin cycle - hit start, and magically create false perceptions in the publics minds.

The new media - us - are tearing the old media to shreds. We have the truth on our side, and freedom is popular! It is only a matter of time before the boob tube becomes irrelevant.

A major battle is going on between two competing formats...and we are going to win. We are already winning, we just don't know it ourselves yet.

We deserve some major credit, and we are being rewarded with network ratings in the gutter....and more people flocking to the new media.

Ron came in 3rd. After Super Duper Tuesday, let's see what happens!

Keep in mind, folks, McCain and Huckabee HAVE NO MONEY to speak of to keep going through the national convention...and support is lessening for them both each day as "conservatives" are NOT happy with their current "front runner" choices!

HQ is doing a good job considering the limited funds they have to work with (only enough funds to do basic media in only a few select states -- HQ asked for $24 million additional and has only gotten $5 million).

This is a great encouragement. Remember we have to get involved in the delegate process or he will never win. The delegates are the ones who pick candidate ultimately. Get involved at every level and change will happen.

MSM is not even reporting Maine as a Romney Win when they could "declare" it or "project" the win like they do in the other states.

So, did you expect that even if Paul placed first that he'd get some attention?

Romney received 2,365 votes, or 52 percent of 4,558 votes cast, with 69 percent of caucuses reporting, according to the Maine Republican Party.

John McCain, Arizona senator, received 959 votes (21 percent); Ron Paul, Texas congressman, received 857 votes (19 percent); and Mike Huckabee received 271 votes (6 percent).

The votes are nonbinding. The party held caucuses to elect delegates to the state convention in May.

Addtional Republican caucuses are scheduled Sunday and later this month.

Guess who has the most delegates to the state convention? hehe

I don't like the term, but it does apply...lol. Listen, we're fielding deligates and that is what counts. For those of you that are whining about the ~sheeple~ not getting the message because it's not appearing on MSM, here's a news flash.. it WILL NOT, no matter what RP's placement is. It is OUR job to wake the people up, not the media's. ~SWAT~

Now take a deep breath and figure out a way to spread the message. I've a friend that is getting over a spinal surgury that is gung-ho RP. What does he do during the day? He gets online and finds a range of numbers in a random state/town. Then he cold calls the entire range.. he does this 8 hours a day. Just to get the message out. Everyone can do something.. find a way.

MSM will never help you, no matter the standings. This revolution is not about television or radio... it is about converting a person at a time until we are large enough to throw off the mantle. The current primary is a needed thing, true. But it is the MESSAGE that needs spread... as RP himself will tell you time and time again.

Even the AP story admits that it is just a conjecture as to how many delegates there will be.

So we do indeed have a very real shot at getting some real delegates out of Maine.

Even if we did win, the old media wouldn't announce it and the state of Maine would end up fixing the vote anyway.

Just like New Hampshire...why should we expect anything else?

Thank God our founding fathers set such an elaborate election system in place because without it Ron Paul wouldn't have a chance.

Ron's chances get better by the day, and he is perhaps at the strongest point yet and has yet to peak - that will come in September, in St. Paul.

And that is to invade Congress with Freedom lovers like us. People in this campaign need to run for office and chase these corrupt politicians out!
