?? Idea to Get Official (un)International Donations ??

As long as you didn't *guarantee* the money went to the campaign, how could this be wrong?
I already give 100% of the profits I make off selling T-shirts on my website, and I ship internationally. I don't think there is anything wrong with this.

Regardless of legalities, with even a hint of foreign money, the media would have a field day covering the possibility of an FEC investigation of Dr. Paul's campaign donations.

I'd suggest that foreigners buy his books. That's what I'm going to do. You could even put them in libraries. After all, this r3volution has to be carried all the way and the further his sensible advices are spread, the easier it'll be.

I heard that two thousand or so busboys in Chinatown donated 2300 to her campaign. Then she got a donation from a fugitive and it made news for all of 5 minutes. In my opinion, this is a glass house that the MSM will not throw stones in, so if foreigners want to send gifts of money to their friends in the US, then go for it. As long as there is no connection, the gift recipients can do what they please with the money. Anybody who suggests giving receipts for RP memorabilia with a guarantee that the proceeds will go to the campaign IS A TROLL.

Send a copy of the Manifesto to your American relatives if you live outside of the states.

There is no way how one can ensure buyer that he really donate this to campaign. And IMO there is only one way we can do this. This things have to be really interesting - and then when we buy them we dont care what you do with money. We just buy what we want to buy.

I would like to buy poster or book *signed* by RP.

I made this suggestion a few days ago. Sell RP buttons and items then donate the money to HQ. We can also accept donations for the purchase of direct advertising in newspapers etc. One just wonders how many foreigners are interested in supporting RP and how to get them funneled to purchase the items or advertisements?

Say we post a t-shirt... do we really ship out a t-shirt? My thought was that we could post a pic of a shirt up and use the total money for the donation ... by stating free shipping. Now, if they really want the shirt then there would have to be shipping charges also. Gets a little more complicated that way.

I'm bouncing between DP and CafePress right now, as I'm starting to set up products for this push! (Never done it before, but I'm hot to zip up that learning curve!)

If you put a product up for sale on ebay you can set an asking price along with or best offer. So a tee-shirt say, for $2100 obo.

We could post this idea to the international meetup groups and blogs and see what they say. We could put up anything... like a Ron Paul t-shirt. Since they know we are going to only use the money to donate to Ron Paul I don't see why someone that wants to donate 50 or 100 bucks can't bid that much... or more if they like. Then we could make the donation for them and send them a receipt for showing the donation was made. I know a few people that help out a ton with door to door and sign waving but don't have the money to really donate. This would work! Great idea. Let me know if I can help by posting to the blogs or meetups or by putting anything up on ebay.

Totally legal! You can sell to anyone on ebay, and you can do whatever you want with that income.

Evidently, there are indeed non-US citizens in other countries who are anxious to support Ron Paul. If we connect with them as stated in this post, this could work.

We (U.S. citizens) sell goods, receive funds, and immediately send those funds to the campaign. The actual $$$ comes from actual U.S. citizens.

Alrighty then: UKLooney, you got the ball rolling on this -- can you provide a list of int'l RP contacts who are ready and willing TODAY to act on this RIGHT NOW??
