Fox's brainwash during Tom Petty Superbowl Halftime Sow (Strange it's an election year, huh?)
I'm sure most of you do not care about sports as I do, but nevertheless watched the superbowl tonight. So please let me know if you agree with me, as I find this matter rather important, and do hope I am not the only one.
First let it be known that the Superbowl was aired on FOX.
The begging of the Program started with an intro on the declaration of independence, and had a host of people, including military personal, saying various lines, and at the exclaiming that "We are Americans". It lasted quite a while, and was the epitome of nationlism. But this, was blatantly obvious. What was the actual brainwashing so to speak, or the subliminal messages (keep in mind that millions of people watching tonight's game) came during the halftime show.
Previous years halftime show's including current stars, like Missy Elliot, Justin Timberlake, or Janet Jackson, Dianna Ross, Enrique Iglesias, New Kids on the Block, and a whole list of others. However, the 2008 Superbowl (two days before super tuesday, and months away from the general election) halftime show was performed by All-American Tom Petty.
Petty, opened with the song "She was An American girl." This song really gave off a feeling of pride that I can not explain . He closed his set with the song "I won't back down" As he sang the song, the huge screen on stage read the lyrics, but only for the lines, "We won't back down." And it kept flashing...but only for those lyrics...
So first, this is taking place right before an election, and fox is clearly pro neo con republicans, therefore pro war... Capturing millions of viewers, the program began instilling images and scences of our military, building pride within us, and giving us a subconscious sense of nationalism. Then, during the halftime show, continue to build up pride with the "American Girl song", only to end it with flashing images of the words "And we won't back down." This could mean that perhaps something is in the works for either an announced long term stay in Iraq, or maybe even a new campgain perhaps in either Iran or Pakistan...Or I could be just going crazy. Does anyone else feel the same? Please let me know if anyone agrees, or if I am just thinking into it too much...

And also
The "Giants" beat the Patriots.
Maybe it was a message meant
for the revolutionary's.
First they yank out our hearts with the whole declaration of independence, each of us wishing at the end, Ron Paul popped up and said "My name is Ron Paul and I am the champion of the Constitution."
And then since they had our attention, especially at halftime with all the posts of watch halftime, shhhhh, dont't tell, they then say We won't back down. American Girl is their communist Hitlery.
Hmmmm just sayin'
you're right on
i watched only what I had to of the garbage network. they had us all captive for the game, and layed it on thick. Im a sports fan too, and even their commentators make me want to vomit.
The best part is, they tried to brainwash us to believe the patriots (so-called) couldnt be beat. they had all the "experts' singing the same new england tune. fortunately, the Giants didnt fall for it!!
If that isnt enough of a message to rp supporters, i dont know what is-peace
Multi-National Forces ?!?
Did y'all see the Multi-National Forces before the game? Well, there they were - labeled as such.
If you are not OUTRAGED, you are not paying attention!!
I smelled a subliminal rat
I didn't take the time to think through it, but I smelled a subliminal rat..like, why Tom Petty *now*?
I mean, I always dug him, but why Fox putting him on the Super Bowl??

What is subliminal about that?
I agree with you and
on the Declaration of Independence opening, I think this was done because Fox knew that there would be Ron Paul Supporters at Super Bowl Parties telling friends about Fox's anti Americanism and media censorship, and this opening would make their friends say "Your a crazy Ron Paul supporter with no clue - look at fox spending all this time promoting the Declaration of Independence and the wisdom of our forefathers - you're crazy! Fox is a patriotic American company!"
It's funny - beceause while I was watching the intro....
I was thinking that it was one big info mercial for why you should vote for RP.
did someone tivo the intro?
We , .... we, . all the people reading the constitution.
..... reading the constitution and then splice in,
I am Ron Paul, Champion of the Constitution.
ya anyone?
ya anyone?
I dont remember that...
I only remember how old the band looked. Which means I am getting old. Oh and the one thing I really remember was from the Declaration of Independence skit Fox had was the sort of propaganda at the end of it where they had several people saying "I", "I", "I", then finished with "WE ARE AMERICANS". It just felt like they were stressing collectivism and I suppose I only noticed it because I have become so individualist in my mentality.

affirmation: President Paul
affirmation: President Paul 2008
Unfortunately, what you saw and felt was probably an accurate read during this very murky time that we live in. However, when I heard the song, "I won't back down," all I could think about was Dr. Paul's wonderful revolution and the fact that even though he is shut out of television, radio and newspapers, we are alive, thriving and WON'T BACK DOWN!!!!
YAHOO I live in New York and just got a phone call from RON PAUL.
maybe
it means he wont back down from american girls? whatever could he mean!
Clearly by design.
Propaganda at its finest.
NY Giants: Ron Paul Analogy
They said it couldn't be done and in the last moments of the game, it happened. We can do the same in this election!!!!
Bump
Bump
Ron Paul is a Giant
The Super Bowl game very much represents our campaign and Ron Paul.
The NY Giants are only the second NFL Wild Card team to ever win a Super Bowl.
The odds were against the Giants all post season. Everyone one said no way. The PATRIOTS were on their way for a perfect season, they CAN NOT be beaten. Hailed as probably the most "perfect" team in NFL history. They beat the Giants in their last meeting. You and I cannot even imagine how much money was lost on betting on this game. The Patriots just could not lose!
Ha..Guess what? They kept it up, they never said no, they never said die.
The lowly, underrated NY Giants beat the powerful, overrated NE Patriots. People were stunned! I was stunned and I was rooting for NY! I'm in Indiana and a Colts fan, so I was pulling for Peyton Manning's little brother Eli, but it still blew me away! I was jumping around my living room like a lunatic. My wife and the dog left the house.
I can't imagine what it's going to be like when Ron Paul wins the nomination. I'll probably be running around my front yard screaming out the news.
Just like the NY Giants did, we have to just keep on plugging! Against the odds, against all of the "experts", against all of the naysyers, against our un-won friends that think it's endearing that we would still be campaigning for RP. I love it!
Now I have a new line while I'm campaigning: "There's just no way Ron Paul can win."...Me: "Well, you could be right, but the Giants did beat the Patriots and the Pats were "perfect."
The only way we can lose is to forget that we are winning!
well said.
well said.
very disturbing
I ended up going to bed before the game because I was so turned off by the FOX sham ! It made me so angry thinking of how many mindless drones were sucking that all up !
yeah, and..
I was more concerned that the Sarah Conner's Chronicles terminators were able to defeat Fox's football tranformer dude. That didn't seem right.
I am a Giants fan since birth...
all 33 years, and love my football! The Declaration of Independence thing in the beginning struck me as odd. It was like a commercial for RP... lol... but i knew that was not the point. But could not put my finger on the why.
The halftime show ... OMG wtf ...
My aunt was over ( works with the FB1) and I looked over and said "d'ya see that?" ... she looked ... and I whispered "psy op" in her ear. She looked again , gave a nod and said " looks like it don't it?" That completely caught me off guard. Most of our "discussions" end quickly in disagreement or her not participating, for obvious reasons.
Looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, prolly a duck! Hows that Red Pill workin' for ya ;-)

I was in a Sub Shop waiting for my order
When I saw that, and I didnt know it was the prelude to the superbowl - at first I thought it WAS a Ron Paul ad!
Previously known as DCALIFANO
I thought it was odd too...
and I kept asking my husband, "What in the hell is going on with this?" I couldn't put my finger on it either. I thought it was creepy that the one player read his part from the twin towers site. I KNEW at that moment there was something weird going on with it. Why would they do that??
Also, funny that they would read the Declaration of Independence and NOT the constitution. What does it all mean?
What's really sad is that we (the unplugged, as someone put it) are the only ones who will even question the whole thing.
didnt see it, but
i agree that Everything is done for a reason. it is very possible that you are 100% correct on this reading.
And hey, here's better Tom Petty propaganda (you know, the Ron Paul kind): http://www.youtube.com/wa...
Yep,,,
Your awake ! You've been unplugged fromt the Matrix.
more like taken the red
more like taken the red pill....sir for once i agree with your post...haha
Regardless of the above post
If you don't believe that BILLIONS are spent in researching the most effective ,visuals, sounds, and flicker rates etc. You are either ignorant,or in foolish denial..
Nazis were some of the first with their"kill your handicapped baby off" movies and films..It was for the greater good, of the fatherland...
If you can find time after the Campaign, research it. It is something essential to understanding, how we have been bombarded for many years, and how it affects our thought process.
If someone can control your thoughts, they essentially, control you.
Go ahead and laugh,buddy..
Notice how similar "Stand me up at the gates of Hell" is to
Huck's "I'll chase him (Bin Laden) to the gates of Hell with a water pistol" statement?
Go President Paul!

to many crazy people. I understand you frustration
but you go to far. Fox is to stupid and has nothing to do with the half time show.
You're kidding right
"Fox is to stupid"
These type statements concern me. Fox and other neocons know EXACTLY what they are doing, and are developing the means to continue to do it.. over and over again.
The halftime show isn't even handled by Fox
The BRIDGESTONE SUPER BOWL XLII HALFTIME SHOW is an NFL NETWORK PRODUCTION and will be executive produced and directed by WHITE CHERRY ENTERTAINMENT and DON MISCHER PRODUCTIONS. This same team produced the NFL Opening Kickoff 2007 special from Indianapolis. In addition to the halftime show, they also will produce the Super Bowl XLII pregame show. Don Mischer Productions will serve as executive producer and director, while White Cherry Entertainment, led by Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss, will serve as executive producers. This is a cop out response
Wake up
Cop out response??
Give me a break. I hate to break it to you, but belive it or not --- not EVERY single thing is an anti-Ron Paul conspiracy. Frankly, it's because of threads like this that we get crowned with the "tinfoil hat" label. Damn.
How does stating a FACT qualify as a copout, anyway?
Take the Red Pill
and come back in an hour.

sorry, didn't see it
I was too busy passing out DVD's and slim jims at the grocery stores where everyone was stocking up on beer and chips for the superbowl. Besides, got rid of Cable years ago - MSM sucked then and sucks more now!
From your info tho... I would have to say it is staging for McCain. I'll bet anyone that tomorrow there is Fox news footage about McCain and he will say that line "I won't back down" or "We wont back down". Betcha.
Joe
Too late
Hillary's already on it. I just saw the story on a non-Fox website.
Well that's insightful.
I told my boyfriend that I was surprised McCain wasn't singing the National Anthem.
You're right on
"Nothing you see is an accident."
I didn't watch the Superbowl, but you should watch this video

The Subversive Use of Sacred Symbolism in the Media - There are six videos. I don't agree with everything he believes, but he's right on about how you are constantly being spoken to without realizing it through symbolism.
I watched the Super Bowl, and I didn't notice anything odd
Maybe I've been here (in America) too long. LOL
The one thing I did notice was the total lack of anything to do with Ron Paul -- and I only noticed that because it's so unusual for my life lately. (I'm all about Paul!)
Oh, and I noticed a few local ads, for which I was watching because I heard that RP ads were being run during the SB via the local ad spots in certain locations. Sure enough, I spotted a few local ads during the game. I hope we got a lot of Paulinating done via those spots in key states!!

The silly notion of the Super Bowl...
...being as American as the Fourth of July is completely stupid.
It is only a game...
...that makes the WRONG people too rich!
How many of you paid $4,300 for a ticket?
"It is only a game..." Not
"It is only a game..."
Not for the people playing it. It's all about perspective.
I don't think any of us did.
I don't think any of us did. That's why we're all here.
The Truth of the Matter
You know, Fox actually went back in time and molded one of their neo-con subjects into the super-power now known as "Tom Petty." They wrote the songs and promoted the music just so they could use it two days before Super Tuesday 2008.
BAH! HAHAHA!
Conspiracies, conspiracies....
Yeah ...
It's been in the works since the early 80s should the need to stifle a Ron Paul run. Such foresight!
bump
bump
Well you may have something
Well you may have something to debate there however i didn't watch the super bowl this year 1ST TIME IN 20 YEARS because i will no longer watch FOX.
I loved american idol and will no longer watch it because it is on FOX
I WILL NEVER WATCH FOX AGAIN EVER.
Not one single thing you see is by chance.. not ONE!
Remember the Huckabee cross commercial? They tried to explain it away as coincidence. BS! I heard someone put it like this. those ad makers are like fine artists and theat screen is their canvas. There is not one single thing in that ad that wasnt supposed to be there,in whatever shape, color or duration. Its their masterpiece and anyone who works in advertising or public relations can back that up! Now , having said that, If you think that what this person is trying to say about his perceptions of the ENTIRE EVENING concerning that football game, is anything other than TRUTH than you are one of the ones susceptible to those tactics. I, for one, saw exactly what Jabrah1 saw. It sickens me. Its like when they used to flash "popcorn" or"Cocacola" or "Thirsty" for a few frames during movies to get you to buy refreshments... only times 10000000! This is so sinister and diabolical and ingenious, and unfortunately for 99.999 percent of apathetic fools it works like a charm!
actually you are incorrect
"Won't Back Down" was the second song it was not the closing song. The closing song was "Runnin' Down a Dream".
I agree with this much. Fox was clearly trying to play up America, but that is done at every superbowl. Especially during "war time". That's as far as it goes. I don't recall seeing We Won't Back down being the only thing flashed. I am not denying it though, I just don't remember. Also, the lyrics are never "we won't back down", they are always "I won't back down". This leads me to believe that you were more likely looking far too closely for a conspiracy.
They also flashed "stand my ground." The 3rd song was FreeFallin
during which they shot rockets (fireworks) across the stadium. Kinda reminded me of Iraq during Shock and Awe. The last song was Runnin Down a Dream, during which they showed projections of driving down a highway in the desert - maybe Monument Valley.
Also, at the beginning after the Declaration of Independence was read, they showed the following statement on the screen during which Taps was played on a trumpet:
Fox Sports and National Football League dedicate this depiction of the Declaration of Independence, the foundation of our democracy, to all the valiant men and women of our Armed Forces, who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our freedom and liberty for more than 200 years.
"As the sun goes, down, we shall honor and remember them."
Go President Paul!
