Ron Paul must go over the media to the public
What Ron Paul needs to do is to buy nation-wide television time to present 2 or 3 fifteen minute or even half hour speeches clearly explaining how he sees America's problems, and how his positions make sense.
He has to make predictions about what is going to happen, so that people will be able to see for themselves that he understands the situation better than anyone else.
Ron Paul's individual positions on income tax, immediate withdrawal from Iraq, the Federal Reserve, etc., often seem "quirky" when presented out of context. Ron Paul must present the whole context so that people can understand the sense they make.
Such speeches can then be rebroadcast locally, printed in flyers, or copied on CDs and DVDs. They would then be the best helps for campaign workers trying to explain Ron Paul.
Only by going to the people over the heads of the MSM, by speaking directly to the people on nation-wide tv can the true Ron Paul message get across.

That would take Ross Perot money
and Paul doesn't have that in his bank account.
Yupp ..
Bloomberg might be able to buy enough time to get Perot's 18% but to actualy win it would take cash in the range of a few magnitudes of order higher ..
With MSM working as a cohesive unit, there is likely not enough money in the world to purchase from them enough time to offset the damage that they do every day for free.
It would be cheaper to find a way to make media function "In the public interest" as it initialy was intended to do.
But sadly that would also be very time consuming ...
We have had the same lament for numerous election cycles now ...
The media continues to pick our poison ..
ross
perot got 20% of the vote with his infomercials.I say do it!!
Long speeches have 0-ratings.
Certain radio shows on Sirius where we've already (but too-briefly) run ads, OTOH...
I don't know why this idea keeps coming back to life in different forms. Ask yourself when you ever deliberately tuned in to a politician's long ranting speech??
JMR
what does querky mean?
Ben 43-I agree but there is someting we can do too. We need to explain the detail of his message on the media blog posts. I've sais it before on RP but haven't got the answer.
RP keeps saying gold & silver to run with paper money. This,-to an average person is so confusing. Do you count out gold dust/nuggets-What? It sounds silly to put it like this but when he speaks he is painting a mental picture in the mind of the audience.
He says printing money causes inflation but the rich get to use new money first. What the hell does that mean? (I know a bit after reading tons of articles but RP has to inform folk who are busy and if it goes over their heads-they move on - don't wish to ask anyone in case they appear stupid-so they forget about the message.
What do you guys think? We need to elabourate, simply, on the blogs when defending RP or promoting the message to the neighbour.
'I always think of all you canvassors and precinct leaders at the front line.
Good luck out there &Thank you. It's appreciated'.-fip
Gold and Silver sucks
Yeah, I've always found that the 'only use Gold and Silver' speech sounds 'quirky'. He should say, 'We should only use money backed by Gold and Silver". Like it used to say on the dollar bill"
i doubt he has enough money
to do that.
