Time to get seriously organized

I am beginning to get disillusioned. Not by Ron Paul or his message, but by the organization of the whole thing. There's no media coverage of placing 3rd at 19% in Maine and no coverage of any of the other accomplishments being made either on the grass roots side or by the official campaign. It's time that changed. For me, My kids' sake and my love of This Country, we must succeed. There are no alternatives. There may be some of these ideas already going on, so if that's the case, please inform me and the others that are unaware of them. Here's what I propose.

We need a single place to graphically see exactly what support we have. By that, I mean we need to see what specific counties or even precints are not being covered by enough support.

We need a repository of sorts for people to go to too look up the best arguments to make against all shots at us as well as all support for the other candidates. For example, if someone says, "Huckabee has more experience in leading" we could look up how to respond.

I appologize in advance for this next one, but I need to get it out. Our man is great at figuring out the real cause of the issues, but many people only respond to "what's in it for me?" I believe he should try to include more of the positive outcomes of implimenting these changes that he proposes. For example, "If we cut military spending in other countries and put those guys to work inside our borders, we'll keep that money here and it will put 100,000 people to work supporting them." I know most of us make the connection already by what he does say, but many people need it spelled out for them. Plus, people like to be able to repeat things like, "He says we'll end up being able to buy much more with our paychecks without going broke!"

Catch phrases are not always a negative but some people I try to convince only quote our revolutionary phrases in a mocking way. Dr. Paul and us supporters, should always look at how the phrases might come off to those that aren't already onboard. It's just hard to get them to not see us as a mainstream quality organization.

The media suppression needs to be addressed by a massive group, not by a few hundred callers. These people are in a business first and want to influence public opinion second. Let's organize in as concentrated a way as we can to hit them in their most vulnerable spot. They make their money on advertising so let's pick the one single worst offending organization and then pick their single most supportive sponsor and go as public as we can with a nationwide boycott. This could be placing boycott stickers on that product in every supermarket in the country or organizing a rally at their headquarters. Either way, it need publicity period. That's what get's CEO's attention.

We need to WIN at lease 5 states. There is no alternative. We can't get to the convention with 30 second place finishes. What 5 are we going after? Who's making that decision? The official campaign does alot, but Ron Paul's power comes from us and we need to know where to concentrate.

I would also like to see some way to allow supporters run mini-rallies prior to his visits to boost attendance. I see other candidates speaking to 2000-10000 people at a time and then I hear that we had a great one where 900 people showed. That doesn't seem to be cutting it. We need to focus calls to local radio programs, newspapers and possibly even flyers, etc. to advertise these rallies so we can allow our guy's message to hit the most ears. I don't know of any better way to convince people than for them to hear him directly. I find it almost moving and I think they will too.

What does everyone think? Can any of these ideas be done? Does anyone think they are worthwhile?

A 'Negatives' repository is also needed...

I discussing this on break just now, someone else mentioned that we should include a point-counterpoint type of place as well that would show the other candidates' stances on certain issues as well as their past related actions. Since Ron Paul is more tactful than to go negative, there needs to be some way to show these things about our opponents. Most people I talk to don't believe me when I mention things like Hillary's upcoming hearing on campaign finance laundering. They've never heard it on the news so they don't believe it exists.

I can see this being a place where you can select an issue and then see the candidates in ranked order and all that they've said and done listed under their stance. Anyone got any further ideas?

I actually think that Dr. Paul should begin to mention the other positions and how they are bad when he speaks. He has a talented ability to mention these negative traits without the appearance of attacking. ...but that's not for me to decide. I just know we do need to shake up the game a little to get some attention. Calling someone out for a bad-for-the-country policy will get attention and with his impecable stance on everything (as far as I'm concerned), he will always come out on top.

Coordinated library

I agree. There must be many good posts on DP that are missed. If only there was a way of referencing results like you say. And training tips. And coordinated efforts in one place where you can see polls to vote for, contact news outlets, email media organizations, etc. It's all over the place and needs coordination. Somehow?
I guess one way would be to have different headers such as-
'latest news stories positive.
latest news stories negative.
Who to email
current on-line polls
canvassing tips
etc , etc.

'I always think of all you canvassors and precinct leaders at the front line.
Good luck out there &Thank you. It's appreciated'.-fip
