How many Delegates does RP need at the National Convention?
What percentage of delegates at the national convention does RP need to allow him to continue onto the second vote? Or isn't there any threshold?

Good question.
Yes.
To be nominate from the floor..he needs the majority of delegate
from 5 states.....
so the exact number is not the issue..it is the majority (51%) of delegates from at least 5 states....
This is true
I am a delegate from Oklahoma. I am 1 of 5 Ron Paul Delegates. There are a total of 41 delegates from Oklahoma. This means we must convince at least 16 of the other delegates to not vote in the first round. Many are bound to McCain, so if they vote in the first round, they MUST vote McCain. I believe (not sure) that they can just not vote. If McCain can't get the 1191 votes in the first round of voting, then we vote again. This time most delegates are free to vote for whoever they want to. It's an uphill climb, but worth trying.

Thanks
Thanks, I reckon it's a safe bet as long as the market keeps going the way they are. What are the chances of a state win tonight?
no one can have a clear
no one can have a clear majority, then it goes to reshuffle and round two.
